Most overrated hip-hop album of all time, even more so than MBDTF. Good but repetitive instrumentals bogged down by DOOM's nasally, monotonous voice and trivial hipster lyrics. Only entry level hip-hop fans like this.

rip in peace theme albums

dubs=track name
42=album name
69=album cover
trips or higher=artist

track list is 7+last digit of the OP

42 counts for album cover once the album name is got and vice versa
don't use any existing album covers you fucking idiot
rolls that go over the 300 character limit will be ignored

songs of any genre and quality will be accepted, but don't spam 1 second tracks
if you submit something without any way for me to download it, it's getting ignored
no zippy unless you want to wait a few extra hours for the album to be up

album will be available at https://suicideisanoptionrecordsc2016.bandcamp.com/ once finished

>"Also. Speaking as a Straight White Male music listener, I'd say, generally speaking, that the Straight White Male is the last voice of "cultural relevance” that I'm actively looking to, or sympathetic to, in this particular cultural moment. Just, who cares, you know? This obviously creates a problem for the Straight White Male artist who still desires to make relevant art - do you attempt to gentrify the landscape, White Savior yourself, and demand through inference or testimony that your voice is that of a leader for these times, when your phenotype is culturally inert if not malignant, and that even presuming to have something genuinely important to add is arguably an invocation of privilege? This approach seems like a fool’s errand to me. I instead mostly took the tack that I was using my particular set of cultivated talents to make a Use Object, something useful, a balm, something experientially or aesthetically moving, a reprieve. If you think I should be trying to muscle my way into a position of cultural relevance that I don't deserve, in a culture that is currently filled with far more interesting and sympathetic perspectives than that of the Straight White Male, then I can't really help you, because I am a little too self aware to have tried to do that. I can still comfortably and with a clear conscience make music that is beautiful and useful to people who are receptive, but I don’t do so from a sage-like position at all. You obviously care enough about music to place musicians in positions of veneration, and I do too, but I’m sooner doing so with Frank and Kendrick and Solange at the moment than I am with any straight white male artist currently in the landscape, and obviously (duh) I’m not alone in that, as they are enormously successful, beloved, and influential artists."

I can't believe this mother fucker has listened to all the music he has claimed to have listened to
So he says on his website under all musicians that "As of march 2016, this website contained profiles of 8,600 musicians.".

Assuming that the average length of an album is around 30-40 minutes, so lets say 35 minutes and that Scaruffi only listened to each album once (this obviously isn't correct).

>Average of two albums artist
10033 hours or 418 days
>Average of three albums per artist
15050 hours or 627 days
>Average of four albums per artist
20,066 hours or 836 days
>Average of five albums per artist
30,816 hours or 1284 days

So he could have spent between 1.1 - 3.5 years listening to music which averages at 2.4 years of listening to music in total. This is an extremely conservative estimate imho since there are many artists who have spent years in the recording industry and have released up to ten albums and more with drastically varying time lengths for each album.

Although his website started in 1983 that's an obscene amount of music.
It also states back in 2003 https://web.archive.org/web/20030919023711/http://www.scaruffi.com/music/groups.html
That he only had the profiles of 4,568 musicians
So if we cut the estimates in half he's listened to 200 days - 1.75 years of music between 2003 and 2017 (which is again extremely conservative)
That's not even asking the question of the obscene amount of money he would have to spend on music between 1983 and 1999 (when Napster became public)

This is all within the realms of reality but assuming he doesn't like most of the music he listens to (which is usually rated at around a 6/10 on his website), he has to be either lying or absolutely insane to spend all this time and money on music (most of which he claims to dislike)
And when you top that with all the time he has spent reading books, watching movies etc and general life shit, this is fucking ridiculous.

Anyway discuss

It's not consuming that amount of music that is challenging but rather having the time to actually digest and properly listen to the music.
