>uses the most basic beginner guitar chord progressions
>uses fuzz and distortion on every instrument, like wow that's never been done before
>wanting to fuck Anne Frank =/= romantic
>Oh Comely is 2 minutes too long
>half of the album is filler
Why does everyone consider this a masterpiece again?
Because it all comes together
I mean I could emphasize on what I don't like in music, but that's totally subjective. Some like the way fuzz sounds. Some prefer simple music. Some prefer long songs. There are no fillers on a concept album

It doesn't sound any different than the fuzz you'd get from any acoustic guitar that's plugged through a distortion pedal.
>>73343276
Like holy shit Kurt Cobain was the first one in the mainstream to plug an acoustic into a distortion pedal and even then that's not groundbreaking.
How much effort do you go into in deciding whether you like an album
Do you listen "critically" or do you just go with your gut?
I find if you do the former, it takes the joy out of it, and if you do the latter, you just get drawn into whatever is catchy and fail to appreciate depth
I just have one rule:
If you have to put ''effort'' into it, than your doing it wrong. It should come naturaly, and not be forced.
But of course, without spacing out and just ''going with your gut''
if you think you can affect whether or not you process something consciously or unconsciously then you're delusional
Yo hip hop heads, peep out these cats from Chi town. The Palmer Squares. They dropped their NaPalm ep yesterday, and the rhyme schemes and multis will blow your dome straight off
I'm high I forgot to link it

the rhymes and lyrics are stale.
the only time the flow sounds good is when it sounds photocopied from others.
the vocals don't sound that bad.
cool beat, cool production

What are some little things for us bustas?
I've always admired how genuine and DIY Viper's music is. It also kind of lulls you into a comfortable trance. Very relaxing.
The beats are amazing, and the vibe is so heavy. There is a lot to miss if you aren't paying attention.

This track is transcendent.

For me it's "Twenty-Four Hour". Best instrumental and best lyrics.

Twenty-Four Hours is amazing. The slow/fast dynamic gives the song a great nervous tension, and the lyrics are so bleakly powerful.
That said, New Dawn Fades is my favorite. That bass line and intro are so overwhelming.
Top 5:
1. NDF
2. Decades
3. 24 Hours
4. Heart and Soul
5. Colony

What are some great albums without lyrics?
Pure guitar wank.
With their first album.
Just start with the first albums, they're pretty solid
