What does /mu/ think about contemporary country? Im going to go see this guy on Saturday. Planning on getting absolutely hammered.
Best songs are:
Alcan Road, The Argus, Tried & True, Transdermal Celeberation and Among His tribe, literally all god-tier above The Mollusk, C&C or The Pod
yes agree
also Captain is fantastic and their most underrated track by far

Up there too.
My favorite cover too and more serious sound. Love it. Mollusk is good but a little "weird/trippy" and C&C is good but not as good. The Pod is up there but not as cohesive. Same with GWS.
Just listened to this for the first time Thought it was fantastic, especially the closer. Where should I go next in their discography?
i'm trying to write an opera but im not really good at writing texts, only music scores. So i came with the idea to ask for the help of my fellas at /mu/. the opera should be about the characters loosing their bodies and becoming virtual beings.
here's how you can help me. each user can write three words on a single post. everything you write you become oficial text, no censorship.
ill start with 3 words below:

Welcome to the unofficial scale of heaviness! I want you to post your own heavy bands and tweaks to my list in replies.
1. Mount Eerie (A Crow Looked At Me)
Not heavy at all
2. Radiohead (Pablo Honey)
The only thing that could hint towards being heavy is the distorted guitar in the choruses
3. Foo Fighters (Greatest Hits Collection)
Not really heavy but has some metal influence
4. Tool
Has some heavy riffs and screams
5. Slayer
Good midpoint to compare heaviness of other bands, low tuning and shouting
6. Slipknot (Self Titled)
Heavy, fast riffs. Throat killing screams.
7. Behemoth
Brutal, angry satan praising.
8. Jared Dines (The Dark EP, The Light EP)
Fast paced death metal with heavy riffs and heavy vocals.
9. Rings of Saturn
Disgusting vocals(in a good kind of metal way), incredible drumming and guitar
10. Infant Annihilator
Grotesque vocals, Flawless drumming, Really good riffs.

Been playing this album a lot recently. There's probably heavier grindcore than this, but as someone in the comments pointed out, there's less than 20 years in between Black Sabbath's first album and this one.
My point is that it's easy for any kid to use a drum machine to sound the same as Carcass, but being one of the first bands to a specific sound has got to count for something.

I like his one hit wonder series, they're funny and interesting at the same time. One of the few bearable people from tgwtg.

we know you start these vapid threads so a dumb pic w/ a dumb message stays in the catalogue
rap pretty much does suck, and you don't have to be a white nerd to realize it.

ironically, the less interesting feature of rate your music are the ratings
Ok so this sounds incredibly familiar to me, maybe a fellow movie watcher will recognize a bit of it as currently I can't, not really.

I feel like it's somewhere from World War Z, but I don't know...
