But seriously, why is Holland, 1945 distorted?
i think it's pretty good desu
>>73775057
I agree, I just want to know what they meant by this.
>>73775007
The drumless version is best.
Every musician you ever listened to was indirectly or directly influenced by Buddy Holly.
literally who
Who knew Buddy Holly travelled 250 years into the past and played in front of Bach
UUUWEEEEEUUUUUUUU
Please post ambient music to listen to when it rains

Why were the Radios in this game so bad?
>No good alternative
>Normie bullshit
>Only rap songs are Kendrick Lamar and Dr Dre
>One song from Danny Brown but not even his best
>Literally "who?" bands, most aren't even good
>Next Gen version is announced, instead of putting good music in, it literally adds normie bullshit
UNO DOS TRES CUATRO

The only good stuff was Loggins, Yes, Survivor, and Def Leppard
Yeah, Kendrick pretty much singlehandedly carried the modern rap station. Disappointing. Kanye was desperately needed on it, even though he appeared on IV's soundtrack. They could've at least had a Big Sean song featuring Kanye.
All my life I've been listening to rock of all sorts, some old school hip hop and a bit of bleep. I'm interested in blues but I don't know where to start. Some recommendations? Charts? Is it just a meme?
Delta blues, Muddy Waters, Buddy Guy, all the Kings, RL Burnside

>all the kings

A LOT of blues is tedious dreck or unlistenable bilge because those guys were not paid royalties and were instead just paid X amount per release regardless of content (John Lee Hooker famously recorded the same songs at different labels using obvious terrible pseudonyms such as "John Lee Booker" or "Little Johnny Lee" etc.)
It is for this reason that actually, you're best not listening to original albums in most cases and listening to best ofs.
More city:
- Muddy Waters (Go for early chess era, ignore when he played with white people.)
-Little Walter
- Howlin' Wolf
- Etta James
- Canned Heat (good stepping stone from rock to blues)
- Early early early Rolling Stones & Fleetwood Mac
- Bo Diddley (His debut album is ace so you can just go with that)
-Champion Jack Dupree
More country:
-Skip James
- John Lee Hooker (very patchy discography, recorded millions of things but is my personal favourite.)
- Lightnin' Hopkins
- Memphis Minnie
- Robert Johnson
The stuff older than Johnson and Memphis Minnie is not for everyone's tastes but I love it. Look up Robert Crumb's prewar blues collections and see.
Also Nina Simone's blues album is perfect.
This is better than anything by The Beatles.

OP you owe me a new computer! mine just overheated and blew up from such a hot take!
>>73774517
the 60's sessions album is better
>>73774632
I personally disagree since that one is unfinished
What in the absolute FUCK is this? I just listened to the first "song" and it's literally a bunch of noise. It's not even different noises. It's like the same thing repeating for three minutes. I don't understand how people can enjoy this. If the whole album is like this, I don't want any part of it. This is not a "classic" album. This is fucking noise.
get a load of this pleb
U
listen to it louder
so I paid this guy $600 to design a cover for my new vaportrap album, I told him to "go crazy" and "experiment a little" and this is what he sent me.
what do you guys think? Would this album cover turn you off? I'm not sure how to feel about it.. I mean I spent 600 fucking bucks on this thing and it's kinda cheap looking. not sure what to do.
>>73774406
its a cool cover but you shouldnt have paid anything for it. how do you make vaporwave when you are such a capitalist?

Heh... not bad, kid. Not bad at all. Your meme, I mean. It's not bad. A good first attempt. It's plenty dank... I can tell it's got some thought behind it... lots of quotable material...
But memeing isn't all sunshine and rainbows, kid. You're skilled... that much I can tell. But do you have what it takes to be a Memester? To join those esteemed meme ranks? To call yourself a member of the Ruseman's Corps? Memeing takes talent, that much is true. But more than that it takes heart. The world-class Memesters - I mean the big guys, like Johnny Hammersticks and Billy Kuahana - they're out there day and night, burning the midnight meme-oil, working tirelessly to craft that next big meme.
And you know what, kid? 99 times out of a hundred, that new meme fails. Someone dismisses it as bait, or says it's "tryhard," or ignores it as they copy/paste the latest shitpost copypasta dreamt up by those sorry excuses for cut-rate memers over at reddit. The Meme Game is rough, kid, and I don't just mean the one you just lost :^). It's a rough business, and for every artisan meme you craft in your meme bakery, some cocksucker at 9gag has a picture of a duck or some shit that a million different Johnny No-Names will attach a milion different captions to. Chin up, kid. Don't get all mopey on me. You've got skill. You've got talent. You just need to show your drive.
See you on the boards...
I do not believe you spent 600 bucks on an album cover. You don't have any friends or acquaintances who could whip one up for free (or way cheaper)?
Why 600? Commissioned art from a local artist would be pricy at 100
ITT: what you listened to when /mu/ was down
>>73774331
Venom - At War With Satan
Ozric Tentacles - Erpland
The Lounge Lizards s/t
hmmm, they are not that bad
no, theyre really good. /mu/ just has an aversion to anything slightly normie at all.
Lil ugly mane is one of their biggest influences. They take the style of mista thug isolation and create a more serious tone. Definitely good sounds on eternal grey. By far one of the most creative Trap style hiphop records.
What does /mu/ think of Frank Zappa?
He is cute.
he's dead
>>73774265
he has a few good albums, but the vast majority are quite weak. also the few good albums he has are certainly not enough to justify his smug attitude as though he is god's gift to humanity

Hey guys, been working hard making funny and insightful music reviews. Every Saturday I'll review a mainstream release, and every Wednesday I'll release a Bandcamp album review. I'll keep up that schedule as long as I can. If the channel gains traction I may even add a third video a week.
Here's my first Bandcamp album review over Motel Guide's "Owl Sight, Owl Mind": https://youtu.be/QWpRvqR88vE
If you're interested in having your new album possibly reviews, I still have a few slots open. So feel free to message me on Youtube.
