How do I into R&B?
Been listening to pic related, Sign O the Times, What's Going On, and Never Too Much, but I need some guidance.

Cant go wrong with early Mariah carey, Daydream is by far her best followed closley by Music box and Butterfly. Great contemporary R&B
.
the 90s had tons of shit like Bel Biv Devoe and SWV.
> be me
> 12 yrs old living in india
> exposed to nothing but indian music all my life
> parents have dusty copy of best of bob dylan cassette in some box
> put it on for keks
> "like a rolling stone" starts
> me in 2017, living in america, love rock and roll, can't imagine my life without it, forgot all about home
how did rock and roll change your life /mu/
While I don't listen to much anymore it's what got me into music when I was younger and has led me on a journey of pursuing a funk and soul career. No matter where it takes me I'm glad it got me into playing instruments at the least, music is one of the best things we have on this shitty planet.

Me but I still live in India. Opinion on why we rarely get good songs in India? (Not bolly shit but throughout the nation)
idk i'd say it certanly brought a lot of joy in my life
Should I feel bad for liking this?
no ADTR is very alright pop metalcore
I didn't when I liked it, like what you want OP.
If you're not out of middle school yet then yes.
Literal no name band
Super late to listening to this album. Casimir Pulaski Day has made me a fucking mess.

Fair. I always found The Predatory Wasp of the Palisade more emotional for some reason though. Then again I've never lost someone important to me from cancer.

Doesn't have to be mega-obscure but, post your favorite prog releases other than the well known classics.

How come /mu/ never talks about these guys?
Is Spock's Beard good? I ignored them when I was younger because the frontman had a Christian conversion and I was an edgy atheist. However, now I am a Christian too so I would be totally down for Christian prog rock.
Heldon is god tier spacey electronic prog.

Where do you guys turn to when you want to download something somewhat obscure?
I'm trying to find a rip of the Sixth Day Seventh Night Gackt concert dvd but the only torrent I found is dead and it's not on Soulseek, which usually has everything. It's gotta be somewhere right?
I usually just give in and use discogs.
>>74457381
Well I can get it on eBay but I'd have to pay $50+ and import it from Japan. Which I'd gladly do but I just can't be spending $50 on a silly dvd right now.
But hey at least it's not $100+ like his Love Letter CD
>>74457426
As a side note to anyone on /mu/ that hasn't heard of Soulseek I highly recommended it, it's pretty much just like the old filesharing programs (Kazaa Limewire etc) but it's not bloated adware-filled AIDS like those old ones were. It can be a lot easier to find certain things you're looking for on there; there've been plenty of times I couldn't find a torrent of something but I could find at least one guy on soulseek who had it.
Post-grunge fans, lay your bets.

What bands started out sincere, making music they wanted to make, grew popular, and DIDN'T sell out at any point in any way?
No Radiohead
Pic unrelated
