I've been TDY for a bit.

You're right though, that there isn't a lot of places for me to take this right now. Equestria itself doesn't have a lot of opportunities for conflict requiring the attention of a princess that isn't purely social, political, or romantic. The moon ponies are too eager to be on their best behavior, the Equus ponies are too eager to get in the moon ponies' pants, and a thousand years of magitech development would mean that there aren't any beasts that pose a threat. With all the world building I've put into this story already to try and make their differences appear naturally, I might just have to write the actual story of her banishment and development of the moon. The other anon is right, though, that story isn't RGRE enough. I'd have to take it to /aie/.

Also people keep using this term "impregnating ponies", but who said impregnation had to be involved? I'd imagine it would be a very drawn out, artificial affair fitting for an artificially created being. Well, think of it this way. If you can do that whilst breaking every other law of physics and not killing your target, why couldn't you do the same on a smaller scale? There's nothing really stopping them on paper here. A sperm cell, an egg cell, a strand of DNA; they're objects that can get zapped just the same. While any explanation of inner workings is an assumption, saying that a tangible thing can have spells cast on it is not.

But yes, you can argue that they know jack shit about DNA and even contemporary GMOs--magic can clone at least, but not via conventional methods.
