Yeah, I eventually just went on a google binge of "uk comic store" and in addition to my local contacted about 10 or 15 others.
It's tough because I'm after the Retail Incentive covers, but the only way a supplier gets them is if they order 10 or 25 Copies of the standard Cover, and then they get the Retail Incentive Cover (hence the name). MLP isn't that big in the UK, so a lot of stores aren't really ordering in 10+ Copies of MLP comics.
In all my search I did find 1 outlet who claims to have them, still emailing back and forth at this point to get the details right. It's double what I usually pay, but I can't miss out on a cover like pic related.
I think finding the comics at this point isn't the issue, all the locals seem able to get copies in like you suggested, it's just the covers. Contemplating whether to be so picky or not, since it is considerably more expensive when I'm after 4 separate Retail Incentive covers (#54, #56, Movie #1, Movie #2). #56 for example has a solid cover B anyway

the interactions between the characters was really nice to see we've seldom seen it in the series, on that note the further development of Scootaloo and Rainbow Dash's relationship (Rainbow Dash calling herself Scootaloo's big sister) was really heartwarming
The stories, whilst short, were good in terms of potential lore, I like the idea that before the ponies became the three tribes and before they went to Equestria they were very similar to Vikings, Japs and Greeks/Romans or maybe that these kinds of ponies are still around and are just located in different parts of the world

How do these people even call themselves writers anyway? It's not a huge deal in terms of how it affects the episode, but Scootaloo was depicted so out of character that you'd think the writer was a complete moron. If they actually spent five seconds thinking about Sleepless in Ponyville, they'd see that it's about Scootaloo putting on a brave face and hiding her fear from the others as the result of idolizing the most headstrong confident pony of the mane 6. It makes zero fucking sense for the sequel write her as a scared little girl, shitting herself from every little thing in front of everyone when previous episode it directly references showed a well characterized progression as to why she ended up getting scared in the first place. A middle schooler in english class could interpret the character motivations better than this.

I don't care if they've never seen the show, watching Sleepless in Ponyville would be enough to get a grip on how to depict Scootaloo for this episode. But they completely misinterpreted who she was in the episode to a baffling extent. Look at Honest Apple, it's clear that it's written fresh off of having seen some Rarity season 1 episodes and had a broad description of Applejack as the element of honesty. While it flanderizes Applejack, at least you can empathize with the writer as not having seen the show. It's complete and utter incompetence to watch Sleepless in Ponyville and then depict Scootaloo as she was in this episode.

Not really, horses manes grow the exact same way human hair grows. It grows between their ears.

The only reason that horses have a narrow strip for a mane and humans have a bit wide patch of hair on the top of their heads is because the space between our ears got pushed up and back and out and when our fur ended up shedding out till it was just a mane left, that's the patch that was left.

That being said, it would logically follow that if horses grew larger brains that their skulls would deform in a similar manner and thus their manes would end up covering their whole head much like our hair does.

It just so happens that either wasn't considered when they were designing G4 ponies or it was considered and rejected for a more traditional equine mane style.

Alright, time to see how the actual legends match up to the hype given the comics made these primary tales background pieces in the comics.

Rockhoof's was definitely the weakest. I assumed his power was gained through harsh, rigorous training, but instead it was just a magical gift from nowhere? I can see some Captain America angle of 'giving the weak colt power, he learns to appreciate it' but that didn't seem to mesh with the ideal of hard work that goes in with the story and its teller.

Mistmane was more or less everything I was hoping for, it was my favorite. I really liked the Eastern aesthetic (I think it's just a mishmash rather than representing one in particular, as Mistmane is wearing a Korean Hanbok but there are clearly Chinese influence going on with the dragon-shaped magical blasts, ox-horns, etc) though it still really confuses me about WHERE this is in Equestria, whether there's an Asian-divition of it or something, what's up with the curvey horns and are those still around or did unicorns evolve out of those, etc. Still given it's just a legend and may not be 100% historically accurate I'll take some inconsistencies. The story of her sacrifice to help her friend was really good. I find myself thinking like with others on this show Silver was forgiven a little too easily (if she 'took' the throne, why is she still Empress after she was defeated, did the whole village decide to give her another chance just like that?) but, again, given it's a shortened legend I'm sure there's more behind the scenes stuff that would explain the situation better that is left out for time, not like we were watching it in real-time. Still, my favorite story, I have a favoritism for Eastern style ponies and this was pretty good example of it.

Well one of the so called "myths" did refer to an actual pony as references by Sweety when Rarity told her story. So not entirely sure if that accounts to lore, mythos and all that jazz. The campfire tales seemed to be allot of tall tales and in a sense can still be considered mythology. Paul Bunyan and Johnny Appleseed are some of the American Tall Tales and somewhat are myths.
