Yoh, hey RGRE

Since discussion about it quieted down over the last thread, I thought I should update anyone who was still interested. I'm gonna step away from Aftershock for a bit while I try and brush up on my writing.

A majority of people recommended that I continue with the current story instead of starting anew with something simpler. I'm not completely dropping the possibility of starting over fresh, but I am leaning towards the other option. In that case, I'd likely be capping what I've already written into a 'Part 1' paste and what I will write in the future into a "Part 2' paste. Celestia and Rarity meeting face to face for the first time (before finding Anonymous and sorting out the mystery) seems like a good place to stop off for the moment.

I'll update you guys again if I make any new decisions or progress that I'm confident about. As always, thanks for reading and talking fellas.

It can sometimes take a lot to admit fault and commit to improving something that's served you so well in the past. I commend you for it. I don't know your method of writing but whether you plan out scenes or just dive in assess the length of the piece as you go and keep asking yourself: does this need to be as long and as detailed as it is? While both are virtues they become hindrances when at the cost of the pace, and with Anon missing and everyone on edge I feel there should be a definite sense of haste.

Making this a multi-parter doesn't sound like a bad idea. I like the though of Celestia and Rarity meeting. I'm not sure how to handle it but Rares does need to see how invested Celestia is in Anon AND that there is a budding relationship there already.

I'm one of the ones who followed you over here because of "Reassigned" and would mind seeing that update. Maybe working on something else will help your mind settle things with "Aftershock".

Some of the things some anons said were blown out of proportion, like describing pebbles? That didn't happen at all apart from one part about the anti teleport stones and saying that several lines were written about the hospital being clean when it was actually about the entire room.
The only thing i can think of that could be cut would be the part about the stained glass. That's it.
All i can say is that there isn't usually such a long series of posts without some form of action. sure there was a prison breakout but the way it was set in past tense and treated like a crime scene took away a lot of the impact.
