I was going to say that you could use our mega with timelapses to try and determine how pieces used to look like before they got vandalized or erased, but I've tried doing that myself and wow, it is a bitch to search those gifs.

Actually just started a rewrite that will give us more flexibility in the future. The current site was built by a single person back when we had about 20 templates on the list and good, scalable performance wasn't super important. Once we had something that worked, we put it up and switched focus to other tools that we needed. We now have 127 templates by my count, and as I'm sure you've noticed, the old design just can't scale well.

Since the site is written in PHP, and none of us are particularly proficient in it or aren't willing to put up with that awful fucking language, I'm just doing a rewrite in Python, and that should allow us to improve performance and add features at a pace other than 'glacial'.

First big feature planned after the rewrite is an option for viewing only templates you care about. It's not finalized yet, but I hope to allow showing templates by board, or tags like "ponies", "banners", "murals", "gifts", etc.

I haven't seen this in our spriting guide. If you have GIMP installed, it has a neat filter for rendering customizable grids on an image, which you can then save without having to bother with making backwards L-shaped brushes, or taking a screenshot and saving it. You can find it under Filters -> Render -> Pattern -> Grid.

I need help with Koreus.

Fair warning, template site is now a few seconds slower due to the pushing of a particular /vp/ template. If your browser tries to tell you that a script isn't responding, ignore the message and give it its time and it should work after a few seconds.

The specific problem is the monstrously large Water Type Pokemon mural that is underway. The site currently does all of the error checking clienside in a synchronous loop, and that mural, being as large as it is and mostly incomplete, chews up a lot of processing time. We'll be looking into a fix over the next couple days.
