Some of the concerns brought up the last several times:
RD look like she broke her neck, AJ looks like she's going to kill someone, Rarity looks like she's receiving cunnilingus, pinkie's hair looks wrong, the shading is really poor even in the original and the characters look off model.

Right now replacing it is winning (21 people want to replace it and 8 don't) by a large margin.

I don't think the pixelated version conveys that they are standing on the edge of a cliff. The rocks on the left side look good, but the rest of the ground looks... like Pinkie is standing in a pool of shit, and rarity is being eaten out by Anon.

I guess my point is, let's just disregard the original image and make the pixelated version look good in it's own way (My suggestion being to unify the clouds in the shaded manner of the rightmost cloud and either make the ground all rock or all grass). And then there are the other minor fixes that others have brought up... but I don't think the whole image should be scrapped because there are things wrong with it... let's fix those things and start building it.

Well first off, nice trips.
Second... doesn't matter if 100% of the people vote to replace if we don't have another image to use... I've seen plenty of suggestions, but nobody has gone about attempting to recreate them in the correct palette. Unless someone's willing to do that, our best option is to work with what we've already got.

A few spriters, myself included, have already said they're willing to do a different picture for the mural, and it does matter- we shouldn't build a shitty looking picture that 70% of people don't want just because we have nothing better sprited up. We have other projects we can build, the OP pic especially looks amazing.

Do you have any idea how much effort it is to do that? It's several days straight working for hours. No one's going to do that until we have a consensus on an image to use.

It's hard to come to a consensus on an image when all of the one that have been suggested will look drastically different when redone in a 4bit palette. I'm VERY aware how long it takes and how much effort goes into it, but unfortunately unless someone bites the bullet and does it, I think we'll end up in the same spot we're in now... people posting random images that they think would be cool and everyone arguing about which they like more, even though the final product will look very different. Half the things that get posted aren't even worth trying to make with this limited of a palette.

Which is exactly why spriters aren't going to work on them without a strong consensus. There's a guide in the OP on how to sprite if you feel like people can't visualize it without a mock-up. Personally I think a half-done work would only make them less likely to choose a particular image.

Well that's apples and oranges in respect to the banner we're making. The banner says "Ordem e Pau Grosso" which was only displayed prominently on their great big ass flag. If that isn't a general gift to Brazil, much the same as a clover would be to us, I don't know what is.

What it boils down to, is the BECAUSE it takes so much time and effort to create something like that, the image is going to have to be something the spriter is really passionate about... because of that I really don't think voting on an image is an effective method for this (unless we happen to get lucky and vote on something that a talented artist really likes).

So, unfortunately I think it's best to leave it up to the artist to pick an image and make something from it... and then once it's presented we can decide if we all like it. Like the current image we have, it might get turned down... which really sucks for the artist, but that's just how it is.

The real deciding factor has nothing to do with the bots they're using. When France attacked them initially there were 500-1000 Brazilians left, and about as many of French. French had the same cooldown we do (about 40-50 seconds to place inside of the flag) but arkeros hadn't decreased Brazil's cooldown from when they were massive, it was still at two minutes. They wouldn't have lost the flag to begin with had arkeros not kept it so high for so long.

When the site went down yesterday and our cooldowns doubled briefly, that's when he was fixing Brazil's cooldown so they would have the same one as us. They also spent weeks planning this attack and splitting the flag into 70 segments, assigning a certain amount of members to each piece of the flag to take it back.

France uses the same kind of bots Brazil has, so neither of them are at an advantage there. The difference is only with manpower and organization.

They have less than half of that power. The attack started at 2am in France, so most of France were asleep. The number of users was 2,600. And that's counting regular users, of which there was probably just over 1,000. I don't think there's much, you're unquestionably an amazing spriter. The most I can think of is the red areas circled look like they could do with some antialiasing and the yellow looks particularly jagged and might be worth considering adjusting it. But those are really, really minor things.

I hope you end up doing whatever we use as our third mural instead of me, it'll turn out way better if you do.
