How close were you to tearing up at the new episode?

Falling for what
>>30363582
I was too tired and too taken by the cute to get close to crying, but I did get some pretty powerful emotion from those parents.
>>30363582
I got choked up, but didn't cry. It did tug at my heartstrings a LOT, though. A really touching episode all around.
Side note: I'm cuddled up with my AJ plushie right now, and she feels a lot cozier than usual. Wonder if the new episode has anything to do with it.

>pear butter wears a flower in her hair consistantly after bright sneezes the flowers all over her
>Pear burries an apple seed and bright burries a pear seed
>The subtle instrumental version of Pear's song plays when they rediscover the tree
There is so much subtle stuff that gets the waterworks going you don't notice the first time.
>all they wanted was to be together
>they got their wish
>they started a family
>but they dead
Kinda bittersweet
>Pear is beautiful with a voice like heaven

Until grampear showed up and said he was sorry, then I couldn't take it anymore.
I fucking hope we'll see him again.

I'm still crying, it was so beautiful. It honestly deserves some sort of award, it was the perfect way to end a narrative after six long years with a great 10/10 episode
I cried a lot and i'm not ashamed because i was fucking alone in my house.
I reared up a bit. It was the first time this show managed to provoke an emotional reaction from me.
The main chord progression during Pear's song seems to be D, G, Em7, and A. There's a Bm added in at certain parts where she switches off into some harmony like in "on a prickly path that goes on for miles". The song would appear to be in the key of B minor, which is why it hits you right in the feels. It's a key used to express a "quiet acceptance of one's fate."
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/B_minor
Whew.

>>30363582
I was on the verge of cringing. But the ep as a whole was alright, every part where aj's weren't on screen was nice. The song was so bland I don't even remember the motif anymore.
>>30364690
*aj's parents
>>30363582
I teared up when she had to choose. My tears lasted until kiss. Then i audibly said awww at some points.
I literally cri evertim I watch the episode or listen to In My Head Like A Catchy Song
Wasn't in tears, but angry at the idea that they dedicated one more episode glorifying the only form of love they seem to know.
Woulkd you want some more Christian symbolism in this perfectly straight episode?
Also, a mistake no one noticed, the Qu'Ran symbol at the Apples family on an outdoors toilet, I'm going to analyze this later and hope they didn't knew what they did.
This is the most emotion an episode of Horse has ever dragged out of me.
Sweet Celestia, it's beautiful.I'm glad they didn't mess it up.
Remember how they always choose mediocre episodes and songs to nominate for those cartoon awards? Maybe this time they'll pull their heads out and nominate this one.
And I was getting emotional for the whole second half. Haven't done that since they mentioned their parents when they got their cutie marks.
>>30363582
I can't get emotionally invested into characters that I've know for like 10 minutes. Maybe if I knew them for a longer time I would have felt something, but to see characters for the first time just to immediately see them killed off? Nah.
>>30363582
Close nothing. Shit got me hard. First time this show has ever done that.

>>30363582
I got about halfway there, but I wasn't paying 100% attention. It was a goddamn beautiful, 10/10 candidate for best MLP episode yet overall.
>>30365027
>see characters for the first time.
>he hasnt been imagining how they'd be after watching the apple family for so long.
We've known them for years, it was nice to finally meet them.
>>30363582

>>30365049CAREFULPINKIE
It was good, a solid 8/10. I teared up a little near the end with Grand Pear. The painful realization that a meaningless grudge took away from time with your daughter, who you can never see again, is one hell of an emotion.
>>30363582
I cried. First time an episode hits me so hard since CotLM.
>>30365071
Nah, I've known them for one episode. Again, if I would have met them in one ep and then saw someting like this in another ep maybe I'd have felt something, but authors left literally no possibility of that happening. Grand Pear was more interesting, maybe we will get something more out of him.
someone post a link to the episode/give me a tl;Dr version?
Ive not watched an episode since season 4 finale fight scene
>>30365141
Appul matron and Alpha were of opposing clans. Love story al a Omashu. Married, mama appul left the Pear family. They boned, popped out three little shits, and died.
I cried like a bitch.
>>30363582
I literally had to step away for a moment during the song.
Cried the moment that Grand Pear started to when the Apple trio confronted them. IT was the moment I realised that he probably regrets his entire life which is why he was so kind to Apple Bloom at the start, because he's trying to make amends.
Then the reveal of the intertwined trees.
At the wedding and at the end my eyes started stinging. I got very fucking close
shit was heavy
bittersweet as fuck

>>30364524
Listen closely to AJ's parents voices and imagine them blend, pretty much AJ's voice. She has a thicker drawl thanks to her dad, Pearbutter did add a bit of southern twang as well but much smoother.
>>30364690
I fail to see why people have such an issue with AJ.
>>30365071
>We've known them for years
as someone completely irrelevant to anything. And now that we've seen them they probably won't be relevant ever again, maybe they'll be mentioned once or twice at best. It's hard to care about something like that. Seems more of an obligatory episode with celeb voices that was pulled out of idea bin rather than something that's naturally introduced through a proper set up and leading to future consequences.

it was awesome and you're a fag.
Pretty close. I haven't really watched much pony lately, but that was a fantastic episode.
My heart sank a couple of times.

Holy fuck...I kinda stopped following the show in an obsessed way about 1.5/2 years ago and occasionally caught up with some episodes to see how things were going.
But holy fuck this episode was good. I was afraid that if they would still do an episode about Apple parents they might fuck it up, but they didn't at all. And to answer your question OP, if there where wasn't any company near me while I was watching the episode I would have cried for sure. They previous one with Discord and Fluttershy wasn't bad either. S7 seems to be catching my attention again compared to S6
>>30363582
I've only teared up to fanfics. Pone eps are way too short to warm me up enough.

I'd still give the song a good once over for any changes in chord progression... and to see if there's something better fitting than an A for that last chord.
