Gotta say, I did not expect anon's sudden plan, and how Cadence's behavior was after the fact considering how angrily she reacted during it caught me off guard even more. I guess the sudden and temporary anger toward anon was just because she was convinced at that moment that she was wrong about him, and that he was actually one of the "bad humans"? The outburst confused me a little, since up until that point she had been proclaiming her inferiority to humans.
Also, anon was seemingly fully convinced he was going to die after he successfully acted out that plan. He didn't seem surprised by her reactions during the event, so surely he was convinced of the same thing beforehand? So why did he do it? I understand his motives, the way he chose to act out the plan just seemed reckless to me.

It was definitely an interesting update and I am looking forward to hearing about when Starlight refused the offer to leave anon. Also made me, as a Glimmerfag, happy to hear anon is determined to stay committed to Starlight.

People think she's shoehorned in because she has practically zero interactions with the other characters yet we're supposed to assume they're all good friends.

I had response to this and lost it, but judging by the reaction the other guy got i figure it's a waste of time to properly re-type it.
Long story short my point was that while the other characters interact with each other and evolve based on those interactions, glimmers exactly the same pony as she was the moment the S5 finale ended, minus being able to call Maud and Trixie friends, both of whom had character growth after meeting glimmer.
Although trixie could arguably have suffered negative growth, since i doubt she's ever going to appear again as anything other than "Glimmers sassy marefriend."

No, she's not. She's certainly developed in several areas over the course of season 6, and the fact that she was so easily able to befriend Maud shows this. She's not the meek and anxious pony she was back when she was reformed. Then, she felt out of place, unsure of her acceptance as an ally and acquaintance of M6, and she lacked self confidence in ability to make friends.
In RSF, it's clear through her interactions with Maud that she's improved on those problems.

And I will enjoy my waifu, and appreciate her the way she deserves to be appreciated.
