Hey everybody!

Before anyone asks about the tripcode, I'm the guy who has been trying to run the "official" strawpolls for each episode for last season and continuing into this one.

First off, to address the schedule weirdness with the leaf leaks, I have a policy of putting up the poll only after the official airdate of an episode. So the S7 E5 poll will go up after it premiers today, despite the fact that it technically already premiered.

It's a pain, but I would ask that you bear with me and I would appreciate it if you could leave a rating once the episode finishes. This includes the people who watched it before. I want your ratings too guys, so pay attention after the episode finishes. Don't look for this trip though, I'll be taking it off because I know some people do specifically filter all trip codes and I don't want to cut myself off to those people. I have a very obvious style of syntax though, so I'm hard to miss.

I have that survey linked in the thread as well as data I've gathered from season six and this season if you're interested. The poll itself should take you about twenty minutes, depending on how many episodes you've watched no, you don't have to have watched every episode to participate and I explain that in detail in the poll. Considering the laser-guided focus on a single plot element and overlooking the fact that it was about Rarity figuring out that Sweetie Belle was growing up and coming to terms with the changes (considering the whole B-plot was basically reinforcing this point), further ignoring that it's perfectly reasonable to believe an older person of a family might be use to treating a younger member of a family the way they treated them when they were children or infants directly because that was just their familiarity to interacting with them, ignoring it being played up for being a television program, I'd say yeah you guys are being rather pedantic on this one. I'll put off arguing about it for the time being since some people haven't had the luxury to have seen it yet and be back for the sticky intended for it.

Cute episode, Fluttershy knowing exactly what she wants from the beginning and carrying through with it even with others thinking otherwise was great and showed that she has learned some things over the seasons. I also liked her presenting her idea to the rest of the mane 6 first, as well as having a callback to an earlier episode with Big Daddy McColt. The idea for the episode was OK. However the pacing in the first half or so was incredibly slow and mostly consisted of dragging out "Fluttershy wants a sanctuary" for way too long. The second half was fine, but overall, that brings the episode to a 7/10. It could probably have been an 8 with better pacing.
