I doubt she'll become the captain, and starting her own team seems a bit counterproductive to her arc.

I could see her taking up an important role in another organization though, for example if shit hits the fan and she's needed in a more conventional army role. She looks very comfortable in heavy armor and was very much at home as NMM's personal guard.

I have no doubt she would do great even in the worst case scenario, but it'd be nice to see her development in a non-catastrophic environment.

I think she would be a good captain for the Wonderbolts not that anyone can do it worse than Spitfire anyway, and I think it would be interesting to see her and Spitfire learning from each other, there's so much Spitfire can learn from Rainbow (Rainbow Falls already proved it), and there's so much Rainbow can learn from Spitfire. It would make Spitfire a better captain, and eventually, many years later, Rainbow could be a great replacement.

Unrelated, but I loved this scene in Celestial Advice. It's just a tiny scene, but it was really nice to see her friends smiling when they saw her. So cute.

In Wonderbolts Academy she encouraged a reckless pony and set her as role model for the other cadets, despite not knowing that pony's actual behavior. After realizing her mistake, he just blamed the pony she was praising.
In Rainbow Falls she tried to ditch one of her teammates and replace him, mining his confidence, and lying to other ponies. And it's even worse when you realize that the pony she tried to use as replacement was later proven to have some problems as team player with the Wonderbolts, so maybe she wouldn't even have been a good replacement.

I'm not saying that Spitfire is a terrible pony, I literally said that Rainbow can learn a lot from her. But she's really far from perfect.

Nah, Spitfire's a good pony. And I mean it, I'd like to see more of their dynamic, and I'll be more than happy if they don't forget about Spitfire's quirks and they use them to make their relationship more interesting, and eventually more valuable for them both.
I have no idea how could them write Spitfire learning something from Rainbow though. In Rainbow Falls they were equals, but now Rainbow has just accepted her place in the team, so I can't think of a good excuse to break the chain of command. Meh, a man can dream.

Yesterday I tried to visit Xioade's Deviantart. It's deactivated. It's been deactivated for like 3 years, so I definitely already knew that it was deactivated, but I had forgotten it, and it was an unpleasant re-discovery. At least there's a lot of stuff saved on Derpi, but it's a shame when artists nuke their accounts. Same with MostazaThy, to name another artist who used to draw really nice Dashes (and other ponies too but I don't care that much) and then vanished.

Completely unrelated, but after you brought attention to her duties as weather captain and her cloud-clearing abilities, it gave me an idea for a nice scenario. It literally appears in The Ticket Master she wasn't my waifu yet and I didn't pay so much attention then, but I can't recall if someone has already used this idea in a fic.
Imagine how great would it be to date someone who can literally control the weather. An awful stormy day, cold and rain, everyone else is staying home, and you both could be having a nice day in a warm, sunny spot in the park, with no one else around. Comfy as fuck.

I guess "since season 4" means that you watched season 4. Just in case, Testing Testing 1, 2, 3 is one of my favorites, you need to watch it if you haven't already.

In season 5 her only episode was Tanks for the Memories, it was good, and it has her first and only solo song, you can watch it. She also had a couple of shared episodes, The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone, where she helps the griffons with Pinkie, and Rarity Investigates!, where Rarity helps Rainbow after she's accused of a crime, both episodes were great.

In season 6 she had more episodes, but Newbie Dash and 28 Pranks Later are complete and utter shit, don't bother watching them. Stranger Than Fan Fiction was pretty good though. As for shared episodes, Top Bolt, where she and Twilight help a couple of new Wonderbolts, was really nice.

The next Dash episode is episode S07E07, it was supposed to air on May 20, but apparently Canada is going to air two episodes a week starting next week. >>29934280

They will air episode 4 on April 29, 15 minutes before Discovery Family, and episode 5 on April 30, 6 days before Discovery Family. The week after that, they will air episode 6 on May 6.

Update.

Zap2it has published the schedule for May 7, and it says that Treehouse will air a new MLP episode that day. The episode number isn't listed though, so it's still unclear if it'll be the Dash episode. Anyway, technically Zap2it is "unofficial", so it isn't 100% reliable, but Treehouse has updated the official schedule too (http://www.treehousetv.com/schedule), and it lists episode #148 (S07E50) for April 30, so it's confirmed that at least this week they will air two new episodes.

The bad part about getting the episode earlier is that we won't know who the writer is, they usually only say it a few days before the episode airs in the USA, and honestly, I would like to be prepared.

Honestly this is boring as fuck, it's ridiculously predictable. You're having the story react to Dash rather than Dash react to the story, the characters are driving the events rather than the events driving the characters.
This whole arc for example, Dash escaped with little effort and no harm whatsoever which wasn't exciting in the least (it seems like you're going for a more action orientated story so I'd assume you'd want it to be exciting and have the read on the edge of their seat) whereas if you'd made a few changes and written it differently it would have been infinitely better. For starters it could have been harder for her to escape the cell; the guard could have told her to fuck off when she tried seducing him or was far more cautious when he went into her cell perhaps her could have called someone over to look after the keys while he went in. Another thing that could have been different it how she escaped with no trouble at all. In this case maybe she could have lost her guns and had to sneak out or gone with the same full frontal assault but actually got beaten/bloodied up and only escaped by a lucky thread.
Maybe this thread is desperate and happy to have any old shit shovelled down their throat but I'd much rather be in thread where I'm proud to say that the writefags write in the thread, producing quality content. There is potential but at the moment it's perfect protagonist wish fulfilment; if the main character has a tragic back story and/or the fate of the world rests on their shoulder you'd be hitting and the Mary Sue clichés.

These are legitimate grievances. As far as this whole part goes, your right, I could have done more to make it a lot more exciting. For example just before she made her escape the fight could have been done better, and other parts even prior to this as well (hindsight is always 20/20). I will try and make sure any and all parts later are better written and have more plot driven elements to them. Having that being said, I thank you for the critiques, pointing out flaws or errors or what have you in a constructive way helps someone develop whatever it is they may be working on, in this case, the story writing in of itself.

I don't believe this, not that I'm comparing myself to any of the other writefags who have contributed to these threads in the past, but rather seeing a new writefag that isn't really very much adept in doing so, kind of helps breath new life to a thread (I think so anyway). If you disagree thats totally fine, but I only seek to improve any and all future updates/short stories that I may make for this or any other thread.
