Seasons one and 2 were great and I have a lot of respect for Faust's contributions to the show, but the show from season 4 onward is the best it has ever been.

I want Sunset Shimmer and Flash Sentry to get back together.

I would actually love it if the mane 6 had serious love interests.

The 1986 MLP movie is terrible.

Yeah, I like how we can get slice of life episodes that are important to the plot. I like how the season premiers of S6 and S7 have been more like The Best Night Ever, while the finales are still the high stakes action episodes.

I'm pretty sure Celestia isn't multiple thousands of years old. She was probably Mane 6 age when she banished Luna.

I think Starlight is a good thing for the show, and a decreased focus on the Mane 6 is healthy for their characters.

I think Season 5 was the best season in many ways.

I actually liked the idea of Twilicorn but feel they fucked up the execution narrative-wise
SAYS is good because it has great Mane 6 interaction

Polsky was a good writer
Glim Glam is best new character
I recognize the flaws in the execution of her past reveal but don't think it's terrible or ruins her
Gauntlet of Fire is solid, but not great
S7 premiere is 2nd best premiere behind RoH
S1 is the best season nut I still like the show even if it's changed
I do hope they reboot the universe with G5 in a way that's closer to Faust's original vision and have an overarching plot and world that's planned out in it's entirety like Avatar

TTG is so bad it's ruining CN and the Renaissance it started having in 2010. It's doing that because it is, despite being terrible, HUGELY POOPULAR. It's pretty easy to see why the PPG remake turned out as hyper-cancertastic as it did with that influence in mind.

TTG was born of some competition or something and I remember on of its competitors was a cartoon by Lauren Faust. I know her star has fallen here (for some good reasons), but I am sure anything by LF would be better and far less destructive than the POS that is TTG.

I was thinking more along the lines of /mlp/ being exposed to the fandom and how it seems more and more prominent figures in the community lurk and post here. /mlp/ has always been a kind of Elephant Graveyard with regards to the fandom; something to be acknowledged, but never interacted with; a sort of gated community where the gate is made up entirely by the imaginations of those outside.

Can't say much on Cadance and Shining Armor, but I think the Crystal Empire could have been a pretty sweet plotline if they introduced it a little later on, say in Season 4 or 5, and actually spent some time developing it.
