I've only had 2 lucid pony dreams, but it's been a long time and it'll probably never happen again.

As for the identities of the Twilights, the concept is obviously borrowed from R&M, but it was a short thought experiment in what would happen with an Equestrian multiverse.

Twilight would almost certainly discover inter dimensional travel, as would her counterparts. Eventually they created a pocket universe consisting entirely of Twilight Sparkle.
Well, not so much created as they took it over, forming a "council" of sorts that would handle all sorts of matters and emergencies throughout the multiverse.

Some universes existed already, others spawned from tinkering with the various timelines.

Equestria 001 is the original Equestria. It's the one we saw on the show. As you might have guessed, Alicorn Seven is the Twilight from here, and the most recent addition, as even in the multiverse alicorn Twilights are rare.
Equestria 002 is the result of a universe where the events of the first episode went awry, Twilight didn't make any friends and NMM took over. Twilight in this Universe is a mere secretary, nonetheless with significant political influence thanks to her intellectual prowess.
Equestria 069 is a pre-existing universe that is a lot more adult in nature. Over the course of history, entire societies dedicated to sex and BDSM have arisen in this universe under a centralized control.
Equestria 320 is an Equestria with very big ponies. 321 is an Equestria with dinosaur-sized ponies.
Equestria 228 resulted when Celestia, accidentally or not, killed Luna instead of banishing her. This Equestria is in constant civil war and the Twilight here is just another Warlord.
Equestria 179 resulted when a temporal displacement swapped the lineage of Twilight and Rainbow Dash.
Equestria 202 is a strange Equestria where the Sisters never existed, meaning Equestria was united by Twilight's bloodline rather than them. As a direct descendant, Athena Sparkle is revered as a guardian, queen goddess, and many more of her people.
