No it doesn't. Ducktales, Chip & Dale and the Lilo & Stich, Aladdin, Tarzan, Hercules, Emperor's New Groove tv series do.

a) Half of those are TV-Y7, not TV-Y (even Ducktales is TV-Y7). Y7 provides immensely more freedom. By children's cartoon, my intent was TV-Y.

b) I don't know what Vogel has to do with this considering I'm talking about the best MLP episodes.

c) Adjusting for intended specification, I said the best episodes have some of the best writing possible for a TV-Y children's cartoon (I didn't even say very best). If you think the very best MLP episodes don't even compare to the best of Ducktales because Ducktales is in an entirely different tier... what?

That said, while I haven't watched any other TV-Y cartoon since childhood, I'm pretty sure the best MLP episodes have just about the best writing possible for a TV-Y cartoon. Even in S6, Top Bolt was about resolving a friendship problem arising from a codependent relationship, yet was suitable for 3-year-olds all the same. It is somewhat extraordinary what MLP pulls off within its highly constrained medium.
