I did in fact do 3/4 of the work on all mediums, not just the script writing.

The writers always had a meeting with both me and Renzetti during the creation of a script. So I did at least 33% of the script writing when it came to episodes. Maybe in the credits we should not only write: Lauren Faust, Rob Renzetti, X writer per episode, but also each contribution like Larson contributing with a cup of coffee to keep me awake so I can finish writing the script. Rob Renzetti for keeping the scenes in correct order.

And yes thank you very much most of the ideas and characterizations were mine. Just because Jayson Thiessen convinced me to let his "stubborn as a mule" joke pass my quality control doesn't mean that suddenly Dhx Media did 99% of the work and came up with all the qualitiy.

Unless you also wanted me to animate 26/26 of the episodes in order to be considered like I did something, yes I did in fact storyboard and animate 80% of Rainbow Dash's flight sequences along a few others. The rest handled the 20% for Rainbow.

And what is it with praising some talentless executive who can't take a hint to fuck off for 1 episode script? who replaced me just to pander to you mentally challenged manchildren with a bunch of equally mentally insane characterizations like Discord, Luna, Twilight in Lesson Zero, Pinkie Pie in a Friend In Deed.
Party of One is my weakest script, I wanted it to be more like The Flinstones secret birthday party episode, but Meghan can't do jackshit right.

I don't think you understand how writing for cartoon series goes. It's not a "team effort" full of perfect harmony of ideas and non-conflicting directions. It's a wild zoo full of rabid animals and you're the zookeeper, you're the big shot in charge who has to make sure everything runs smoothly, You can't allow them to deviate from your idea out of a sudden for no reason.
Minor stuff may slip, but most of the characterization needs to remain the same throughout the series. The main character cannot suddenly start crying and develop a hobby, fear, like/dislikes unless it's for the plot, or you can't just flanderize because it's for the plot.
Same reason why seasons 2-6 haven't seen any real change in tone and execution, compared to season 1 which is drastically different in every single medium, not just the writing. It's different in art style, expressions, perspectives, storyboarding, animation style, soundtrack, sfx, songs, lyrics, jokes, character relationships, production pacing, behind the scenes, etc.

For example in S1 we did not pair up veteran storyboarders with newcomer storyboarders.
We did not have the writer doing the script by himself, then sending it to the higher ups for editing and then sent back a mercilessly butchered up script by the executive.
In S1 we at least had the decency to not let the writer spend 3 weeks writing a script only to tell him some dishonest communistic crap like "Thanks for being a great part of the production behind this team, we however took the liberty of modifying 90% of your work to match our demographic and new direction, here's the new script. Implement it or get lost, as in lose your job".

How the hell do you think you can stop a somebody who dumped 15 million dollars into the entire show, owning most of the G4 incarnation. He owns the animated show, even if he doesn't own the toys and the brand name. And the asshole gets to do what he wants with the thing he owns.

You know what's annoying about this thread? OP isn't bringing new info to the table. If any of you kept up with what the show staff have actually been saying in interviews about the production of MLP, in terms of the business and process and not in terms of whether Spike has two dicks in canon, you'd know OP is just repeating what's already been said.

The actual staff seems to be as frustrated as anybody by how MLP has shaped up, while the execs scramble to get involved, make changes, and put their names on a pre-existing success.

How did /mlp/ get so spergy that when somebody complains about this completely legitimate and fatal problem with the show, we get the equivalent of "lalala can't hear you"? Did /mlp/ really ditch everyone who wasn't retarded?
