i have the urge to impregnate the guard

so i am conflicted

damn we could use some other guard stories, maybe something like mane 6 six guards, Anon guard, or changeling guard

This thread seems interesting.
Might read some stories, if some stories are finished some better tell me.
Or recommend me one of course.
Also I got in mind a royal guard for a story, later when I have some spare time I might write some sinopsis or short greentexts.
It's a pony who I'm already using in another story, but why the hell not use her again.

>Name: Light Cloud
>Female ofc
>Royal guard located on Cloudsdale for the protection of civilians
>Earth pony
>Got a pair of boots in her hind legs that allow her to fly, nothing extraordinary like super speed, just the average pegasi wingpower
>Gets excited while on danger/masochistic

I'm gay and suck at drawing so Ponytown had to do.
>>
>>29530700
>Cloudsdale
>Earth Pony
>Pegasus name
>Flying boots
Just make her a pegasus, jesus christ. Instead of sounding interesting, which is what I think you were going for, you made the premise sound unnecessarily complex.
>>
>>29531147
This. It won't be an interesting quirk for a unique character so much as a dumb and difficult to write gimmick and gimp. Just make it a pegasus and you'll both improve anything you write and make things 10x easier to write
>>
>>29531147
This. As she is now she's a special snowflake about two steps from Mary Sue. The key is to make her personality interesting, not her biography.

Make us care about the pony, not about the pony's special powers.

Blu/Careful if you want self-insert fantasy
Magic and Mud if you don't want to read about Anon for once

I admit I haven't read Finding It or Feather Scarf yet
>>
>>29531943
>>29531966
I can't pick just one at the moment. Each satisfies a different taste for me. Careful & Blu are tied for me with M&M bringing up second.

Finding It is stepping up to the challenge as it's already thrown a curve ball at me.

Feather Scarf is just starting as well. It's already had some good comic relief and a decent action sequence. It's potential has caught my eye.

>You lean slowly over Moondancer's spot in the crack between the door and the frame, allowing your eyes to adjust and capture the scene unfolding just outside.
>Your heart is racing.
>Your assurance to Moondancer that you could keep her safe was, of course, a lie.
>If whoever or whatever is outside wants to come in and cause trouble, and if it can get through Careful and Safe...
>Well, you could at least distract it while Moondancer climbs out the window.
>That'll have to do.

...

>At academy, you and Careful Watch took the same course on environmental awareness.
>You each excelled at the subject, but in different ways.
>Careful's "guard senses," as she refers to her skill, are those of a detective:
>She can gauge the tone or topic of a conversation from across a noisy room, read body language like a book, and guess at ponies' private intentions by casually studying their faces.
>Your own talents lie elsewhere.
>You've never understood ponies like Careful does.
>Or even like average ponies do.
>But to the characteristics of your physical environment you are exceptionally well-attuned.
>You can detect and place the position of a whisper where other ponies, even other guards, would hear nothing.
>You can feel the slightest change of a breeze, sense any shift in the ambient air pressure - though that comes partially from being a pegasus, you acknowledge - and see any sudden change, even in the dark, fast enough to react to it before anypony else in a room.

>You apply your skills now and listen to the silence in Over the Moon from your perch atop the sturdy bookshelf.
>First: the flutter of a curtain shutting. The creak of a door. Hushed conversation.
>Moondancer and Anon must be watching from the dark.
>It's for the best. They are perhaps safer being able to see any intruders first than they would be behind a locked door.
>As you learned as a filly in the house of a locksmith: locks can be picked.
>Speaking of which: a tumbler just clicked into place.
>>
>>29537292
>just coiling that spring...

Why must you hurt me so?
>>

"Door."
>You hardly even vocalize the word. It comes out as less than a whisper.
>Careful Watch picks it up as though you called across the room.
>She silently and quickly takes cover behind a bookcase near the far wall.
>You need not move. Atop the case you're on, the low light from outside doesn't reach you.
>You've invisible to any but the most observant intruder so long as you stay still.
>A draft prompts you to fluff your feathers.
>It's as much of a problem as you'll have to deal with unless - until - this becomes confrontational.

>The second tumbler clicks.

>You've always had an acute sense of time.
>In only a few seconds, the lock will give.
>Careful, you can tell, is on edge.
>She will be the first to engage the intruders.
>Verbally, at first.
>Hopefully, that will be all.
>In the best-case scenario, you will not need to intervene.

>Careful is poised, now, for the immediate danger.
>You, however, always appreciate the serenity of a moment.
>You watch her as the final tumbler clicks, as the shaft of the lock is twisted in its socket, free of its restraining pins, until the deadbolt retracts.
>Even Careful hears that.
>Her ears twitch at the sound.
>The reaction propagates through her body like water flows down a stream.
>From the top of her head to her shoulders, where her forelegs begin to bow, putting her in position to charge or pounce, as the situation warrants.
>From there to her posterior, where her tail flicks and her powerful, shapely legs flex in preparation.
>She ordinarily tucks her long mane under her helmet, but tonight she left a lock of it free in the dark.
>It sways in response to her movement.

>... she's so beautiful.

>What an intrusive thought at such a moment.
>You've always wanted to tell her, but you don't know if or when it would be appropriate, or how she would respond...
>Is it the type of thing you tell to a coworker or only a friend? Or someone more?
>>
>>29539202
>... *are* you friends, for that matter?
>You've never grasped the criteria by which other ponies decide that condition is satisfied.

>Of all your coworkers, you know Careful best, but, still, you're afraid to ask her.
>You think she'd laugh.
>That's what other ponies tend to do when you're so straightforward with them.
>It's never derisive laughter.
>You're not misanthropic enough to believe so.
>Ponies are nice, you think.
>Generally.

>Their laughter is usually... supportive?
>The type of laughter given to a pony who has just made a funny joke.
>But, in a way, that's worse.
>You don't understand jokes, so you don't make them.
>Their laughter only reminds you they don't understand you.
>You're not sure you understand yourself, either.
>You don't like that.
>Knowledge and information have always brought you comfort. Security.
>Without them, you feel vulnerable, with or without your suit of armor.

>But you digress.
>In your contemplation, all of two seconds, the intruders have entered.
>Two. Clothed in black.
>Careful has sprung forward, made her presence known.
>She barks the textbook orders at them.
>Their compliance, or lack thereof, will determine whether this turns violent.
>'Wrath is a FINAL resort.' That is the vital rule taught to all guards in training. It is sacred.
>You do not know whether it will apply here.
>You do know-

>Wait.

>Earlier, you had felt a draft.
>This building is not centrally-heated.
>There are woodstoves, but you are placed in no location where you'd feel the currents they stimulate in the air.
>You selected this spot for that reason, among others.
>And that draft...
>You had felt it BEFORE the door opened.

>You hear something.
>You don't bother wasting time to process what it is.
>You strike with your hind legs.
>There's a whiplike crack as your right hoof connects with the jaw and temple of the black-clad pony behind you.
>She topples over the bookshelve's edge, snoring unconsciously even in mid-air.

>Careful charges.

...

>"YOU WILL LEAVE."
>Careful's deafening command resonates through Over the Moon.
>Whoever received this command has not so far complied.
>You have no view of them, even from your higher spot in the door-crack, above Moondancer.
>"You have entered premises off-limits and under Royal protection. We are armed and authorized to visit Her Wrath upon you if you vandalize this place, steal from this place -"
>You hear a single hoofstep.
>"- OR TAKE A SINGLE. STEP. FURTHER."

>You know you're naive, but you hope that settles the matter.
>Maybe they'll leave peacefu-

>CRACK.

>The sound is like two-by-four splitting in half.
>A dark figure stumbles from the bookcase a combat-poised Safe is on and falls sideways to the floor.
>That pony's out-fucking-cold.
>You'd have never guessed Safe could kick so hard.
>She's not out-of-shape, but, compared to Careful, at least, she is lithe and light.

>You have no more time to dwell on this as Careful swiftly and wordlessly tackles one of the intruders in front, creating a shower of splintered wood on impact with the wall.
>>
>>29542917
>"Go," says Safe, some semblance of urgency finding its way into her ordinarily flat tone of voice.
>The intruders probably figured she was talking to them or Careful.
>She's clearly saying it to you and Moondancer over her shoulder.
>The both of you are, of course, invisible in the dark you're in.

>Moondancer prods your leg.
>"Side door. The kitchen," she whispers.
>You nod.

>More combatants join the brawl in front.
>Through the doors, the windows... look to be a dozen of them.
>You trust Careful and Safety to hold their own for the time being. They're badasses.
>But this is a lot of ponies.
>You need to get the hell out of here with Moondancer, and you need to get help.
>As you and Moondancer edge out into the hall - quietly and slowly, but steadily - you mentally prepare yourself for the sprint ahead to RGHQ - what's the fastest route...?

>Then, a shape drops down before you.
>A pony, clad in black.
>She's blocking the path to the kitchen. Nowhere to go.
>"Darklight enchantment," the pony explains, gesturing to her protruding horn, then her eyes, peering out from her mask. "We see you plain as day."

>At the sound of her voice, you fully understand the situation you are in.
>She sounds husky. Mature, but not old. Not even quite middle-aged, but close to it.
>In the dark, you can't make out many details through her black outfit, but you can see her frame.
>You can make out her wide hips and thick ass as clearly as she claims she sees you.
>No, these are no ordinary intruders.
>Not even ordinary ninjas.
>No: tonight, Over the Moon is under attack by MILF ninjas.

Wonder how many laws Equestria has on the books for this.

Trespass
Breaking and entering
Either disobeying the orders of a guard or resisting arrest
Assault (attempted harm -- even if failed. The pony sneaking up on Safe probably qualifies and we will surely see more).
Maybe battery if one of these flabby mamas lands a punch.
Mayhem, robbery, or destruction of property are likely at this point, but haven't happened yet.

I wonder how they treat organized crime. From the way Careful was talking earlier, it seems like Equestria has some equivalent of the Riot Act that's enforceable after some "screw up" -- probably something like if some number or proportion are convicted of conspiracy to commit a crime or complicity in a crime (the law probably also names certain crimes or a class of crimes ), they can be forcibly disbanded by the guard.

Also, a guard rather than a police force suggests an older legal system. Trials may be inquisitorial rather than adversarial. And while previously, the respectable ponies in MILFs could have convinced judges that testimony of some smut seller was hardly trustworthy, and that of course an unsavory establishment in a high crime area would experience robberies, nothing to do with us of course. This time may only be different because two of the Royal Guard were posted there to moderate a protest earlier and caught in the attack. I wonder if assault on a guard is treason?
>>
>>29542918
Let's hope they were just planning on some window breaking and roughing up for intimidation.
>>
>>29542918
I don't even understand why ninjas are suddenly attacking.
>>
>>29543617
The Mothers in League against Filthiness (MILFs) are a vehement censorship organization in Canterlot. They're known to conduct a campaign of protest, public shaming, and intimidation of patrons and owners.

Moondancer doesn't censor her bookstore's collection nor does she separate books by "appropriateness," so she became a target.

It's not too much of a stretch to believe that the MILFs campaign of intimidation could rise to a little after-hours operation to smash windows, forcibly remove objective material, or rough up stubborn owners.

The whole thing is likely parodied very loosely after the WCTU (Prohibitionist group in the US prominent from 1870's-1920's) or MADD.
>>
>>29542918
Way back there was a bit about the magical books in the esoterica section that can float around on their own.
Woudn't it be funny if a MILF ninja was assaulted by a book?

So I just started reading Magic and Mud thinking it'd be something interesting involving a Unicorn and Earth pony guard being at odds with each other and Anon would be able to help resolve it
But there's absolutley no slice of life elements in it at all, and there's no Anon either
So why is Sectopod posting it here exactly? It doesn't look like it fits into the established guardmare+anon niche at all. From what I've read it looks like it's just edgy, gritty and depressin for the sake of it

Does the MC ever start having emotions?

>The MILF back Moonie up against a wall.
>Standing in front of a bookshelf, she hefts a bat menacingly in her hooves.
>Just as she raises the bat to strike, a hefty tome slides forward from the very top of the bookshelf.
>Moonie involuntarily glances up, and the MILF ninja tilts her head back to follow her gaze.
>The book teeters perilously on the edge for a moment before slamming into the MILF's face, knocking her cold

>"I suppose you're wondering-OHHhhh!-"
>You wind up and kick that pony as hard as you can before she can elaborate.
>You guess that was your fight-or-flight reaction going off.
>You're surprised.
>You thought you were more of a pussy.
>She careens into a wood-and-glass display case a few feet away, which splinters and shatters on impact.
>"CELESTIA, Anon!" exclaims Moondance, all at once exasperated, frightened, and exhilirated.
"THEY'RE FUCKING NINJAS, MOON. NO CHANCES."
>You scoop her up underarm and bolt for the kitchen.

>It's too late: the door from the kitchen to the outside is blocked by two ponies.
>The whole cabal is here in Over the Moon, you think.
>A dozen of them at least. Likely more.
>The sounds of Careful and Safe fighting persist in the other room, but, as capable as they are, you struggle to imagine their holding off every single intruder tonight.
>They're here to wreck the shop, you gather, from those of them you've seen off to the sides, unoccupied with the skirmish in front.
>They're destroying shelves, flinging books to the floor, tearing out pages.
>Your heart sinks into your stomach.
>More than fear, now, you feel pity.
>Moondancer doesn't deserve this.
>>

>"You need to understand, Moondancer," explains one of the guards at the door. "You pushed us to this. It's our only recourse, if you insist upon acting against common decency, on having your friends abuse their power to-"

>An electric spark flashes at the tip of her ear and propogates down, through her head, along her side, and out her back-left hoof into the floor, like a lightning bolt arcing across the sky.
>It glows red through her body like a finger held to a flashlight, visible even through her pitch-black outfit.
>She slumps over, twitching.
>It was Moondancer who interrupted the monologue this time.

>"OUT!!!" Moondancer screams at the other guard, who promptly bolts out the door, leaving it ajar.
>The cold drifts in from outside.
>You stare.

"... Fuck. Moonie. Did you-?"
>"No chances," she says, at once furiously and miserably.
>A tear, glowing and ionized from her spell, drips from her face to the floor, crackling and hissing as it soaks into the wood.

>She takes a slow, deep breath, desperately trying to compose herself in the midst of this chaos.
>"Knocked her out," she manages to say. "Can't do another. I need..."
>She looks back into the main room at the fight unfolding.
>Her expression is absolutely hopeless.
>She heads for the door, unaware or ignorant of the chill coming in through it.
>"I need to get help," she continues. "Stay. Keep it safe. Please."
"I will."
>You don't even want to look back at what's happening, but you guess you'll have to.
>"See you soon."
>She steps out into the cold.

Holy shit this is a late update coming. I really do apologize for my absence though I hope this makes up for it.

>A moment passes, the still air permeating the seemingly awkward situation. The six armored griffons survey the area around them as the pullers look on. You yourself avert your gaze from that of the ambassador before you. After what seems an eternity, the stillness is broken by hearty laughter.
>”Coppertail! It’s good to see you friend, even if your means of travel is unbearably gaudy!” Eastwood chuckles aloud and approaches though is met with weapons drawn in his direction. The white and brown passenger speaks up, his reply full and warm, a near fatherly tone.
>”East! Such a warm welcome for me in the west! You’re looking as dull as ever!” The pair laugh, the professor even more so with weapons aimed at him. It’s at this point that things have completely been flipped on you. You’d think, maybe once throughout this whole assignment, that someone would have let you in on the grapevine but apparently not. Next time, you’re going right up to Lt. Guns and making him give you everything information wise on every detail. In the time it takes you to think this, Coppertail has gotten out of the carriage and ordered his men to stand down.
>”How long has it been now?” The ambassador chuckled.
>”Too damn long, that’s for sure. It is good to see you still kicking though.”
>”That I could drink to. A trip to the Badlands not three months ago nearly left me a very singed turkey in some crater.”
>”How’d that work out?”
>”Oh you know, if they’re sentient…”
>They shared one more echoing laugh that drowned out the already mute environment. After they finished, the tone turned slightly more serious.
>”So then, I see you’ve come prepared.” Said the gray teacher.
>>
>>29557718
>”Well, it’s more for Moltus. I can handle myself.” The professor looked past his cohort and onto the brass platform were the aged griffon still sat, looking on to the castle before him.
>”Lord Moltus!” Eastwood called, “How are you doing this day?”
>A quiet moment passed before Moltus’ head gradually moved in their direction. With your superb hearing, you’re certain that you could hear what sounded like a creaking of a door. When his eyes met theirs, he took a deep breath.
>“What!” He squawked.
>“I said how are you today!” Eastwood returned. Moltus paused, taking another deep breath.
>“Fine! Better if we can hurry this along.” His withered voice was gravely and brittle. Poor man, you thought to yourself.
>“It’s true, it would be better if we could get him out of this weather and to somewhere where he could get more comfortable.” Coppertail agreed.
>”Alright alright, let’s start heading that way.” Eastwood then turned and began to lead the brigade but stopped as he realized you and the others were still there, as if he’d completely forgotten your existence momentarily. “Oh right. Copper, this is… Uh… Gleam. She’s to lead you safely to the castle.”
>Instinctually, you stand straight and put your hoof to your head in a salute. The leather clad griffon smiles and approaches you.
>”Ah, hello Miss Gleam. Tell me, what’s your rank and file solider.” Without missing a beat, you answer.
“Corporal Gleam, 1034th of the 70th regiment in Equestria’s Royal Guard, Sir!”
>”And are you head of this small band of soldiers ma’am?”
“Yes Sir!”
>He gazes about at the placement of pony guard and nods. “Seems Celestia is following our requests and has done well on her end. I believe it’s time we depart Corporal Gleam.”
“Yes Sir!”
>>
>>29557721
>With that, you turn to Split and the other and direct them to take positions around the cart and for the aerial units to begin to get in position as well. The scouts wait patiently about a hundred paces ahead on the path.
>”Very good.” He begins to turn around but then stops, remembering something. He turned back, leaning in his feathered face and golden beak. He spoke softly enough that the others would most likely not hear.
>”And are you my escort for the rest of the evening?” Again, you answer promptly.
“Yes Sir!”
>Satisfied, he leans back and continues to the carriage. Giving Eastwood a nod.
>”Well unfortunately, we must be off now. Of course, we can chat on the way but we must have a drink before I leave for home.”
>”For sure, how about the Rusty Bucket. Hopefully you can still stomach it. It would be fitting though.” The ebony stallion retorted.
>”Oh please, I have had worse than their stale cockatrice eggs. The Bucket will be nothing this time around!”
>They shared another hearty chuckle before he got situated in the cart. Eastwood went about gathering the students and any loose papers that were left strewn about the open field. When everyone was ready, you turned sharply and began a march. Much to your relief, that pesky splinter has fallen out to the now practiced mechanical motion of your caboose locomotion.
(time later)
>It was more of a relief than you can imagine to finally be moving again. Truly traveling from that modestly open and chilled plateau up the cobbled stone road beneath you. It felt good to move muscles that seemed to be stiff and frozen. Whether that be from the lack of movement or the past few dew ridden mornings, you couldn’t tell. Still, it meant all this was coming to a close, and you would soon be back home, resting on your favorite cushion contemplating that painting. The whole scarecrow idea seemed to catch your fancy. Maybe it would be the one to bust back open that creative mind of yours.
>>
>>29557725
>While you enjoyed the moment, you could tell by the look on Split’s face that he wasn’t enjoying any of this in the slightest. Though he appeared more inclined to listen to the old buddies recount their tales of a particular lack of merriment and sparse gallantry. It was literally too old men talking about ‘back in their day’ and so on. Only in this case they weren’t nearly as old as Moltus. You hope the elevation doesn’t affect him on any physical level. You’re not sure if you can find a horseshoe box that big to bury him.
>Arrival in the city of Canterlot brought on expected results. Ponies from all regal walks of life began to peer out windows and stop on the sidewalk to observe the procession. For the most part, everypony respected the authority of you and your small band of guard. Either that or they were intimidated by the bastions of pain that encircled the cart. Regardless, it made traversing the streets of the grand city much more doable.
>A well-known fork in the road was coming up, one that split into a pathway for the castle gates and one for the university. Noticing this as well, you hear a commanding voice boom out behind you, most certainly Coppertail’s.
>”Hold!” He calls. In unison, the ‘shink’ of armor coming to rest is heard as the griffon knights stop their movement. You come to a stop as well, looking behind you as well as at the passing citizens, smiling and waving to the foreign visitors.
>”Well East, this sadly is where we must part ways. See you in a few days.”
>”Alright Copper, take care. Come on kiddies, time to go home.” Eastwood nods to the Coppertail and ushers his students down the right path. After watching his friend depart, the ambassador spoke again.
>”Forward!” As his order sounded, you all picked up were you left off and take the left path. The sun was being slowly brought down to bring evening to the royal city. Shadows were cast and enveloped your entourage.
>>
>>29557726
>A small distance later, you arrive at the castle and pass through the various posts, the castle guards already knowing who would be arriving. Gee, it would be nice if someone would inform you for once. Never mind that. With the carriage stopped and parked near the entrance, you begin to escort the dignitaries through the arched halls of the castle. Rather slowly, mind you, due to Moltus lagging behind. Inevitably however, you arrive at the large double wide doors to the throne room; you, Shot, and other in the front, foreign party in the middle, and four other guards bringing up the rear.
>Celestia sat high on her throne on the far end of the room while Luna was close by on ground level. A small number of guards were on either side of them. You continue your march to a few meters from the throne itself. The princess of the sun then spoke up.
>”It’s good to see your arrival was save, Sir Coppertail and Lord Moltus.” Copper smiled then replied.
>”Well, was only due to your fine guard here. I’d be lost without them. This place is labyrinthine.” He laughed.
>“Yes it can be from time to time. Shall we proceed to the dining hall for an evening’s meal? You must be famished from the trip.” Celestia proffered, returning the smile.
>”Ah that would be wonderful! Please lead on.” Coppertail said elated.
>Celestia gracefully descended the steps of the throne and led the promenade through a side door of the expansive room. Leaving the throne room, you passed into a long hallway leading to the dining room. Pushing through the ornate doors, being sure to stay a close distance to your charge, you enter a prepared arrangement of wide tables with a surprising lack of chairs. There were only chairs for your guests and the princess’. You took up a position standing next to the dignitaries. Or at least as close as their groupies would let you.
>>
>>29557730
>What followed was a finely choreographed display of various stages of meals and preparation being presented. You’d seen the sequence a thousand times it seems and the dexterity of these waiters still astounds you. Magnificent chandeliers lit the elegant hall. Coupled with the majestic paintings on the wall and deep colored floral design of the floor and table spreads truly put your dining room table to shame. You’ve been on the receiving end of this treatment once, when you were first inducted to the guard. A modest affair by their standards, it was a far cry from anything you’ve had before or since.
>After the meals were finished and the plates cleared, it seemed everyone was now brought back to the reason why they had met in the castle in the first place.
After Celestia thanked the last exiting waiter, her face turned stoic bringing the subject matter up. “I’m sorry to hear your arrival to be pressed by timing. It was unfortunate news when I received it.”
>”Indeed” Luna agreed.
>The feeling was mutual as Coppertail nodded. “Yes, no one would’ve expected his condition to take such a drastic turn.” They both stayed silent for a moment before Moltus broke in.
>”That is how it is to be. It is willed. Though the Archduchess will be a fine ruler in his stead.” He exclaimed remarkably well considering his condition. You guess the food and elevation might have something to do with it.
>It was odd, really this whole situation. Not only this passing of power thing, but how rushed they seemed. Sure some pleasantries are in order and you suppose this isn’t a vacation but still. You’re not entirely sure. Is this how swiftly people in power actually do and say things? Then why the hell hasn’t your landlord fixed your door knocker. Ridiculous.
>”This is true, we’ve seen what she is capable of and has proven her valor many times to Equestria and her people.” Luna added.
>>
>>29557731
>”And with the stability of your nation secured, the king may rest peacefully.” Celestia chimed. The wizened ambassador acknowledged with a solemn expression. Moltus asserted himself once more.
>”Speaking of resting peacefully, I think it’s time I had a lie down. Small talk only shows what we all already know. We can speak on the particulars later tomorrow.”
>Celestia’s features brightened once more, inclined to move on from the current topic. “Yes, we’ll continue this discussion tomorrow. For now, rest well. It’s been a tiring trip I’m sure. Everything is prepared for you and your things will have been moved to your rooms by now. Hopefully everything is to your liking. If you need anything, ask your assigned guard. Gleam, Split, would you please lead Lord Moltus and Sir Coppertail to their rooms? Chambers 4 and 5 I believe. A second watch should be there to accompany you on your lookout.”
>You snap a salute, remaining firm and strong. Ah responsibility, what a beautiful thing. It feels empowering. Makes you feel like you are trusted. More or less you’re happy these other feathered guards can leave you alone to your thoughts without staring from you assume to be daggers at you. They had to have been. Not only are you watching over their prided nobles, but just looking at their equipment and weapons could cut you. Speaking of…
>”Crest, Flame, please lead their guards to the temporary barracks.” The two forward scouts salute and begin to motion for the knights to follow.
>”The rest of you are dismissed. Moltus, Coppertail, take care.” Celestia finishes, lowering her head and standing from the table.
>”Rest well.” Adds Luna, following suite and lowering her head joining her sister through the same door they entered.
>”Thank you, sisters.” The leather bound dignitary thanks, bowing. Raising up, he looks towards you with that same gaze. “Shall we depart then?”
>>
>>29557735
>You nod and begin to lead him out of the dinning hall and down the corridor, opposite the direction that the other two are leading the griffon guard. Walking along, you turn back to split and see he’s moving slowly alongside Moltus. He offers to sturdy the wobbly cleric but is slapped away. He looks to you and burgundy shrugs. You shrug back and continue guiding Coppertail.
>The winding halls and endless doors are in fact labyrinthine. They were designed as such on purpose to make it difficult for anyone breaking in to find their way around. In just under a year though, you seem to have the general layout mapped out. As the last bits of sunlight cascaded through the stained windows above you, Coppertail found it a great time to talk.
>”So Miss Gleam, how long have you been in the guard?” He retained that gentle tone. Reaffirming yourself, you answered.
“I’ve been in the Guard for nearly a year now, Sir.”
>”Is that so? You seem like you have good resolve.”
“Thank you, Sir.”
>Silence pervades, as does the clacking of your hooves and his talons on the marble floor. A minute or so passes before he speaks again.
>”Were you born here in Canterlot?”
“Yes, Sir.”
>”Many family members live here in the city?”
“No, Sir.”
>His questioning stops for a moment as you round a corner and ascend a flight of stairs. Unfolding a wing as you walk, he picks some dirt from his feathers, ruffles them, then lays them flat once more. He remains quiet from a while, then continues.
>How about… What fighting style do you prefer?”
“I’m trained in both aerial maneuvers and hoof to hoof combat. Martial weapons are second nature. You’re in good hooves, Sir.”
>And you pass through the archway leading to the guest chambers. You guess Shot will have a hell of a time with Moltus. Even more so if he’s as talkative as this one.
>”You can drop the ‘Sir’. You can just call me Copper.”
>>
>>29557737
“Sorry, Sir. I can’t do that.” You’re not entirely sure if he forgot that fact or he’s just trying to be nice. You appreciate it though.
>”Well then Corporal Gleam,” He put on a mock stern disposition, “What do you enjoy doing in your free time, Soldier?”
>Do you answer honestly? Well, of course you would. You’re just not really used to this kind behavior, and from a dignitary no less. The usual escorts consist of well-known designers, merchants or performers and they hardly gave you the time of day. It’s just different. This one in general is just different.
“I paint, Sir.”
>”Oh, painting! Fascinating. I used to paint myself. If you wield a brush as well as you perform your duties to your kingdom, I’m sure you’re wonderful at it.” He ended his statement with what felt like genuine interest. You don’t know, he seems nice.
>Before you know it you arrive at his room. Cracking the door open, you peer in to find what you can only assume to be his bags already brought in and sitting at the foot of the bed. The room is decorated in a very Celestia inspired layout, grand, bright and white. If only it were daylight that is. You enter the chamber and find a torch sconce. Reaching into your supply pouch under a plate, you pull out a flint and light it. You then look around for something like a lantern. Finding one hung loosely on the wall by the door, you grab and light that one as well, shedding moderate flame light in the room.
>Coppertail begins to go about taking his sword off and placing his helmet down. “A beautiful room, wouldn’t you agree?”
“Yes, Sir.” You agree and glance around for any more lights. Failing to find any, you stand at attention.
>”Corporal, would you assist me in doffing my armor?” The mildly weathered griffon asks.
“Yes, Sir.”
>>
>>29557739
>You step forward and begin to assist the ambassador using your nimble mouth and unused wings in doffing his elegant leather bindings, setting each piece aside as it slides off his form. With each component falling away, you could smell the foreign material and the new scent of griffon being exposed to fresh air. A few minutes pass before you place the last section down next to the accumulated pile. You step back and salute.
“If you need anything, I’ll be right outside this door, Sir. Rest well.”
>You turn and begin to head towards the closed door before you feel footsteps walking behind you.
>”But Miss Gleam, aren’t you staying?” Coppertail asks, walking to your side.
>What
“Excuse me, Sir?”
>Coppertails maroon tail trailed on the ground as moved in front of you to where the torch light could properly illuminate his features. The projection of light from the mild fire danced on his alabaster face, reflecting his golden beak and equally golden eyes. His feathers on his chest were slightly ruffled and he wore that same expression of expectancy you gathered early.
>”Didn’t you say you were the one to be my escort for the evening?” All right, bad vibes initiated. You take a step back, giving some distance between the two of you.
“I… did, Sir.” For the first time all day, your façade faltered. You didn’t fully understand what he meant by it.
>”You were assigned to me by the princess, no?” He took a few calm steps forward, his gentle smile didn’t falter however.
“I was.”
>You take a step back followed by another. Before you know it, you bump into the pile of armor now set next to his unpacked bags. He continues his advance up to you, standing but a foot or two away.
>>
>>29557741
>”And it has been quite a long trip. To be honest, I was looking forward to this since my arrival.” His soothing tone and gaze began to grip you again with petrification, much like it did when you first saw him. Is this what you think it is? Could he really be saying all this? There’s no way he wants to… Your eyes begin to widen at the realization and implication of his actions.
>He reached out a talon and placed it on your frozen cheek.
>”You must be tired from all the hard work you’ve done. Now allow me to assist you in doffing your armor so we may begin.”

if Anon grabs and cuddles a stallion who just stuck his hoof into a pile of goo that used to be his horse friends head and starting screaming, thats fine.

A few of the regulars here do not like implied or explicit M/M and will be vocal if you write it. I can't even introduce straight male characters without getting worried responses about looming cuckoldry.

Light or implied F/F stuff flies fine. A lesbian romance as a critical plot element probably wouldn't.

In short: it's the guard mare thread. We're serious about the "mare" part and serious about mare parts.

And the very unclear intention of his written introduction for...whatever the orange nerdhorse's name was, and Anon's encouragement for him to get close to Moondancer. He brought that on himself.
>>
>>29564705
Me too. But I don't want to rush creativity either.
>>
>>29570056
Probably getting distracted mid sex scene whenever he starts writing it.
>>
>>29569890
Yeah, and I don't think it helped that the "encouragement" conversation came after Careful and Anon already spoke about Moonie. I'm still liking the story though.

>>29570119
Kek, your probably right.
>>
>>29566111
>>29565932
I get the hate on M/M faggery but it's the F/F hate Im lost on, I mean it's twice the amount of guard mare puss and half as gay as M/F stuff
>>
>>29571428
IKR!? It's either to be fair or hate & fear of homosexuality. I don't care to read about M/M but it doesn't deserve the level of hate it draws.
>>
>>29571428
If it isn't anon and a guardsmare, it doesn't belong here.
>>
Guard mare centric without an Anon is fine too. The two new ongoings are good examples.

F/F isn't wanted so much as tolerated when this is followed
>>29572206
it isn't fear, you faggots are just annoying pieces of lazy shit with your own general that is too shit for even you fudgepackers to fix, then you useless shits go around looking for handouts and shitpost everywhere else. tldr, we will ignore your existence so long as you leave the good people around you the fuck alone. We don't even call the cops for noise complaints, and you faggots STILL managed to ruin it for yourselves. Death is the only solution...hmmm. Nazi pone guard story when?
>>
When will the pastries get updated?
>>
>>29573733
Don't know.
>>
>>29573707
Wow, good example of a knee jerk reaction. I'm just postulating on reasons not advocating for them. Like I said I don't want to read M/M. I don't swing that way. But I'm not going to go make more noise trying to drive them away. I'll just report/ignore and move on. I like this thread the way it is. I can read what I like without having to sift through what I don't like.
Having said that, I wouldn't mind some M/F/F or even light F/F. And Platonic situations as described here >>29565887 and here >>29569790 could provide some dramatic or humorous elements a story could use.
>>
>>29575181
As much as that MIGHT work, the dedicated faggot shitposters we still have lurking would try and push any foothold they can get, the less there is the better. If its just a joke and doesn't go farther than that then it could be fine...but we all know that cant happen without SOME (so called) PEOPLE, ruining it. Oh well, not much to be done about it then.
>>
>>29575210

>Today is a rotten day out.
>The sun is quite warm, but not enough to be a bother.
>The wind is soft and welcoming, causing a slight rustle of tree leaves.
>And the birds, oh the birds. Their singing is just so therapeutic.
>"Would you like me to take your order now madam?"
"Yes, please."
>Surely today is a day to stay indoors.
"I'd like some nice chamomile tea and a slice of carrot pie."
>"And to whom does this order address?"
>What? What kind of establishment requires the client's name!?
"Well, I'm sorry then I shall take my business elsewhere, when I entered I did not expect the Equestrian Inquisition!"
>Suddenly the door is kicked open.

---

"Nobody expects the Equestrian Inquisition!"
>You are Anonymous, Inquisitor.
>You are appointed by Princess Celestia to sniff out heresy and punish those who betray her teachings.
>And today your inquisitorial senses have brought you to a dark and brooding establishment in the middle of Canterlot.
"Among our weapons are surprise, fear and an almost fanatical devotion to the Sun!"
>Every patron quickly exits the premises.
>You beckon the Guard mare you deputized over.
>Her coat a simple beige going towards white as it gets close to her muzzle and belly.
>And from her tail and the lock of hair sticking from under her helmet and going across her brow you can tell her mane is of a tan sort with specks of red.
>A very nice looking unicorn mare, if a tad on the shorter side compared to the rest of the guard.
>But that wasn't why you picked her.
>Her name is Cardinal Light, you picked her because of that.
"Cardinal, read the charges."
>"Inquisitor." She addresses your rank before unfurling a scroll with her magics. "Sunset Lotus. You are hereby charged with heresy on three counts: heresy by thought, heresy by word and heresy by deed."
>Cardinal's voice is calm and collected, if a little too squeaky for your tastes.
>How can she give intimidating indictments sounding like a filly?
"Do you confess!?"
>>
>>29577867
>>29578240
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of the clueless newfag, I will fear no shitpost; for the writefags art with me; thy mouse and thy keyboard they comfort me.
>>
>>29578289

>"I don't understand what I'm being accused of!"
"Then I will make you understand!"
>Such is the requisites of your job, they almost always deny their accusations.
>Cardinal Light shuts the door behind her and uses her magic to flip the sign from open to closed.
>You move towards the heretic, your boots noisy against the floorboards.
>"Please, whatever it was you believe I did, I didn't d- Release me creature!"
>You grab the tiny pone and lie her down on a nearby table.
"Do you confess!?"
>"S-Stop!"
>You move your hand towards her head.
"Do. You. Confess?"
>The owner of the establishment already receded into the back, he didn't want to witness what was about to transpire.
>Cardinal's emerald green eyes show some reservations but her duty to the crown and her duties to you stop her from turning away.
>"I don't know wha- Ah~!?"
>You move to strike, brushing the back of your finger across her mane.
>She tries to fight it, tears in her eyes.
"Confess!"
>"P-P-Please have mercy!"
>You unfurl your finger and unleash the dreaded ear scritches.
>The mare's voice is cut short as her body seems to melt into your touch, making the process of holding her down easier.
>Cardinal finally can't look any longer and tears her eyes from the scene, though she can still hear the incoherent mumblings of the pony causing her cheeks to redden.
"Do you confess your heresy?"
>You stop your torturous methods momentarily, the pony a pile of furry mush on the table.
>"I-I confess... I do not care much for the sun... please, mercy..."
>Heresy.
>Heresy most foul.
"Cardinal, fetch me... the comfy chair!"
>Cardinal's eyes widen at what you are suggesting. Her armor can be heard as she shakes a bit in her hooves and brushes her thighs together, in discomfort no doubt.
>This fresh guard seems a bit weak towards this line of work...
"Chop chop Cardinal Light, heresy must be punished swiftly."
>"Y-Yes Inquisitor."
>>
>>29578301

>She leaves through the door for a few moments before reentering, pushing a cushiony chair with a flowery pattern, the kind you might remember from your grandma having during your visits.
>You lift the heretic to your arms and take her to the chair, she gives no resistance, already realizing the hopelessness of her situation.
>You plop her down on it and turn the mobile chair around towards the panoramic window, the memory foamed cushions taking to her shape as the pony instinctively nudges herself deeper into it, the warm sunny day giving her a sunny vista.
>It's kinda weird how cozy she looks while having a face of absolute fear.
>These ponies really take it the wrong way when you force comfyness upon them like this.
"As attunement for your crimes, as decreed by Princess Celestia herself, you will sit in the comfy chair until lunchtime enjoying this b-e-a-utiful day, with only a cup of coffee at eleven. Is that clear?"
>She nods.
>You take this opportunity to sit down yourself and motion for Cardinal to join you, poor girl seems to need a rest, if the erratic breathing and unsteady footing is anything to go by.
"Hey! Can we get some service in here!?" you call out through the cafe.
>From the kitchen comes the owner, completely frazzled, after all, the Inquisition is to be taken seriously.
>"W-W-What can I get you?"
"How about a nice fluffy donut and some orange juice? You want anything Guardsmare Light?"
>"G-Glas- uh- glass of cold water, please."
>Geez this girl is weird.
>"Coming right up."
>You sit there, at the table closest to the comfy chair, for a moment before Cardinal asks you a question.
>"How, Inquisitor? H-How are you able to do such things without any hesitation, sir?"
"Hm? What, my job?"
>She nods.
"Piece of cake really, it just comes naturally for me, I see a cute poner and I feel the need to just do about everything to it: head patting, nose booping, chin and ear scratching, belly rubs... you name it and I want to do it."
>>
>>29578312

>Cardinal starts breathing really hard.
"'Course, I had no idea how ponies felt about stuff like that, but thankfully, Princess Celestia was able to apply my... er, "talent" to be of benefit to her kingdom."
>You're the best at what you do, and what you do is very nice.
>Your orders arrive and Cardinal quickly gulps down her water while dabbing her sweating forehead.
>You've never seen such a reaction to witnessing and talking about the unconsensual snuggling of poners.
>You bite into your pastry and settle in for the couple of hours you'll be staying overseeing that Sunset something's punishment.
>Cardinal's a weird one.

>You sneak back into the storefront and behind the counter, evading the remaining intruders.
>They're either knocked-out, fighting, or focusing on wrecking what remains untouched in the store.
>As you squat to keep your head down, an unwelcome pain radiates from your leg.
>It's from booting that unicorn, of course.
>You're just now feeling the damage done, descending from an incredible adrenaline high.
>Newton's third law's a bitch. You feel the same kick that pony did right in your shin and ankle.
>For the first time, you envy Careful getting to wear her heavy-ass armor. The plating and padding would have distributed the impact nicely.
>Instead, you're definitely bruised, and possibly strained or fractured.
>You're upright for now, but once you're down, you won't be walking off.
>You could fight one more like that unicorn, maybe two if your life depends on it.
>A pathetic figure, but, then, you're not the one decked out in medieval hardware.

>Your attention turns back to the scene unfolding on the other side of the counter.
>Keep Over the Moon as intact as possible. That's what Moonie asked. That's what you need to do.
>Careful and Safe are occupied up front. It's on you.
>You need to act quickly and decisively to save what's left of the shop.
>... and you have no idea how.

>You sigh, pressing your palms to your temples.
>CLINK.
>It's hopeless. You can't possibly-
>CLINK.
>A noise catches your attention.
>Something metal coming loose. Rattling. Rolling.
>You hazard a peek around the counter.

>Ninja. Separated from the rest.
>She's a pegasus, but she's grounded.
>She has... they look like hedge trimmers.
>As something shiny rolls and rattles away from her, you realize what she's up to.
>The bookshelves here are tall, wooden, old, and closely-spaced, so they've been bolted down for safety and security.
>This pony is prying these supports from the floor, one-by-one.
>You don't need a PhD to figure out what she'll do once she reaches the last one.

Honestly knocked over bookcases would just make it harder to get to the books to deface them. It'd be a huge pain to clean up, but nearly all the books would survive with a few bent pages at worst, and it would prevent others from getting at the books to rip out pages.

But hey, if there are like 5 of them left, maybe between the guards up front and you sneaking around picking a couple of them off, you can incapacitate, apprehend, or repel all of them.

Although, that would make a compelling story element. I've heard advice on story-building that you build up your protagonists, get the reader to care about them, then hurt them and let the recovery play out.

The reader in me doesn't want any of our beloved ponies to die. Perhaps, gravely injured and at deaths door? (But, I think we all know Careful would fight to the death to protect her charge. Let alone her love.) Alas, like Anon >>29580407 says; It is authors choice and I have complete faith a good story will be brought forth no matter the conclusion.

>The fuzz on her muzzle tickles your nose, while the blush on her cheeks warms your own up.
>Then she positions herself just a little differently.
>She keeps her head above yours, holding your chest down with a single hoof.
>Her mane, messy and poofy, gently brushes your neck.

"Well, yeah, a family always sounded nice to me, but here... I don't know, I don't even think I'd be able to have one."

"I don't think I'd be, ah... 'compatible', so to speak, with anyone other than a human."

What's with the aversion to taking something to the inevitable conclusion?
If you aren't playing for keeps then why bother investing the time into a relationship? Just pay an escort or don't even bother with sex either, it's better for everybody.
Then again, considering today's society and how shitty people can be, the only winning move is not to even play, so I kind of understand you if you're thinking about women, but if you'd still do that to two cute, loving guard pones in cuddly ponyland then you are the biggest faggot.

Given the bat is also involved... Is polygamy legal? Or more of an open relationship thing?

Could have real fun if the bats unique genes are compatible where most ponies are not. Only one way to find out. Rut the bat!
>>
galvanized
>>
>>29589107
The ponies have a polygomist/"herd" society in almost all the fanfics I've read. It's probably true of Blu's story as well.

Gene differences? Hmm interesting idea. What would the offspring be? Satyr? Minotaur? Centaur? Or is a spell involved that allows the offspring to be what the mother is with characteristics from both parents.
OK, now I'm over thinking things.
>>
>>29589426
Headcanon may suggest herding is a thing. Established canon would seem to show otherwise though.

>You hum softly to yourself as you wash yourself in a river
>The water is deep enough that it comes up to your belly
>But you’ve got a sturdy hoofhold on the rocks at the bottom, so there was no danger of being washed away
>After all, you’d gone through the training to make your body a fortress
>If there was one thing Equestria didn’t skimp on nowadays, it was their military training
>There were of course, other countries that had much harsher, much longer, and much more grueling training
>The Clydesdales of the North were one that came to mind
>But they were big ponies
>As in: The top of your head only comes up to about their lower chest-ish area
>You quiver all over for a moment as you remember your old calendar that you kept in your room
>The oddly sexual pinup one for mares
>How it ended up in your possession, you never knew
>You push those sort of thoughts away before this became more than just a wash up
“Scrubscrubscrub…”
>You mutter hastily underneath your breath before dunking your head underneath the water to wet your mane
>You resurface and brush the wet mane from your face, running your hooves through it
>You wished you had some shampoo, or something
>But that was just another thing you’d come to do without out in the field
>Still
>The water was crisp, clean, and clear
>And it felt so good to relax and wash yourself off
>It also gave you some much needed time to think
>According to the map, the next artifact was somewhere in Prance
>As in: One of the countries you’re currently at war with, Prance
>As in: The country currently being ruled over by a being made of shadows and fear
>Could be worse, right?

>Who are you kidding
>Certainly not yourself
>This was the kind of stuff saved for the real elite of the Equestrian military
>Those kinds of ponies you aren’t supposed to know about, but you just know they exist
>And what were you?
>A mare that wasn’t even good enough to get into the Royal Guard
>With an imperfect magical spell you’re really good at
>You levitate your helmet over and into your hooves
>You wrinkle your nose a bit
>You levitate the helmet again, blinking a few times
“Weird…”
>Your normally orange-hued magic seemed to have gold sparkles in it
>You’re not sure if those were there before, but it doesn’t seem to have affected your magical capabilities so far
>You just assume it’s always been there and you’d never noticed
>You wipe away some of the dirt from your helmet
>Cleaning it like this, you finally notice all of the scratches and dents it has
>But it’s a sturdy piece of armor
>And it’ll go through a lot more before you stopped this war
>You do the same for the rest of your armor, and dry yourself off as you wait for your underclothes to dry
>As you wait, you decide to study the maps
>The older one you had folded up shows signs of its age
>It’s browning and faded, but doesn’t seem to be tearing much
>It helped you learn however that taking things from the past back to the present doesn’t come without a cost
>Before you’d taken it, it showed the location of every single artifact at once
>Now it seems to only show one at a time
>And upon finding it, the marker on the map vanishes
>Maybe it’s proximity or something?
>You couldn’t understand it for the most part, only that it works
>You were of course messing with the very fabric of time itself
>This was the sort of thing that more experienced Unicorns than you had tried and failed at

>All the more reason not to screw it up now
>The slow, rhythmic thumping of Sandstone’s steps get progressively louder until he’s standing behind you, looming over you
>”Have you become sufficiently clean, Rewind?”
“Yes yes, Just letting my clothes dry off now.”
>”Did you remember to clean behind your ears?”
>You scrunch your muzzle
“Of course I did.”
>”And did yo-“
“What are you, my dad?”
>There’s a momentary pause following your interruption
>The large sphere that houses Sandstone’s brain seems to rotate slightly
>”How old are you.”
>Your jaw drops
>Sandstone pats your head gently
>”There is no need to be upset. It was a joke.”
>You stare daggers at the offending golem
>”You do not possess any traits of a half-zebra.”
>You huff and roll your eyes before returning to studying the map
“So we’re gonna have to go to Prance.”
>Sandstone leans down, casting an ever larger shadow over you and the map
>”You are aware that it is the stronghold of our enemy, correct?”
>Not the entire country, but he had a point
“Yeah, I know. But if it’s where the map is telling us to go, then we don’t really have a choice, do we?”
>”Affirmative. Based solely on distance, our journey will take several days before factoring in weather and terrain.”
>This time you tilt your head at him quizzically
“Why didn’t you factor in weather and terrain then?”
>”I do not have the ability to predict or monitor weather patterns unless I acquire Pegasi Weather team intel for said region. Likewise, I do not know the topographical layout of lands I have never been to.”
>It’s a mouthful, but you understand it just fine
>>
>>29591018
>Unfortunately, time was just the least of your worries
“I still don’t know how we’re getting into Prance in the first place. The borders are heavily guarded.”
>You trot over to your clothes that have been drying for quite some time and don them once more
>”Correct. Their superior firepower makes them a threat when faced head on.”
“There’s also the fact that it’s just us two against what could very well be an entire platoon of guards.”
>You go through the steps to secure your armor to your body, buttoning your collar over your breastplate when done and sliding your helmet on last
>”Stealth is most likely our best option.”
>Stealth
>With a several ton bipedal golem following you around
>You’d laugh were it not for the fact that it really was your only option
“How do you propose we do that? It’s not like you’re very inconspicuous.”
>”You are correct. I am not suited for stealth missions.”
>You strap the Killer7 to your foreleg, making sure the shock absorber is firmly attached
>”Proposed Solution: You may have to attempt the infiltration on your own.”
>You stop in your tracks as you start to turn around
>Alone?
>You were no stranger to being alone of course
>But splitting up this early on?
>You quash those thoughts for now
“Let’s just focus on one thing at a time. First, we’ve gotta get to Prance.”
>”Affirmative. Please climb aboard.”
>Sandstone extends his hand
>You do a quick recheck of everything in your pack
>The artifacts are still there and so is the map
>The magic one is folded and tucked away in your breast pocket under your armor
>Satisfied that everything is there, you climb into Sandstone’s hand, where he then deposits you on his shoulder

>DAY 1
>You have your map unfurled and splayed out across Sandstone’s head-area
>You’re currently studying the best possible route to Prance
>And as of now that looked like it was over, or through the chasm that separates Germaneigh and Prance
>You show the map to Sandstone and he too looks it over as he carries you through the woods
>”The Burning Gulch? I am unaware of any paths around or over. It is an extremely dangerous area to linger around.”
>He wasn’t wrong
>The Burning Gulch had appeared before the war when the tectonic plates beneath Prance and Germaneigh separated
>The ground around it still likes to crumble inwards, making the gulch ever larger with each passing year
>As the lava that bubbled up to the surface cooled, it created some interesting rock formations
>But even now it was still dangerous to even be around
>There’s a reason why they still call it the Burning Gulch
>Because the lava within has never cooled
>So falling in is generally a bad idea
“Think of it this way though: If we do manage to cross it, I doubt we’d encounter much resistance. Nopony in Prance would expect somepony to infiltrate that way!”
>”Because it is highly illogical.”
>You say nothing and silently raise your eyebrow at the golem
“Since when has anything we’ve done so far been logical? We’ve been messing around with time itself.”
>”I only said that it was illogical, not that it was not a clever plan. It is as clever as it is dangerous.”
>You take the map back and run your gaze across it intently
>Of course there was nothing on it that could help
>Nopony wanted to go anywhere near the Burning Gulch to map it out
>>

>Thump
>Thump
>Thump
>Thump
>The vibrations from Sandstone’s steps rattle you ever so slightly with each one
“Hey, Sandstone.”
>”Yes, Rewind?”
“Do you ever get tired anymore?”
>The sphere swivels up as if he’s looking at you
>Perhaps he is
>You don’t know how he perceives the world
>”Negative. I am unable to feel exhaustion or fatigue.”
>You think back to your years in school
“Aren’t you technically awake indefinitely? Isn’t that bad for your brain?”
>”Technically, yes. However, thanks to the magic used in the construction of my body, as well as the housing crystal itself, my brain is nourished and healed nigh constantly.”
“Well, that’s good then.”
>The sphere swivels back as he looks ahead
>”Only the best for Zebrican War Constructs.”
>There’s a sustained period of silence in your journey as Sandstone trudges through the dense woodland
>Only the sounds of his steps, the crunching of branches, and birdsong are present
“So how does that magic work anyway?”
>”It is an enchantment contained within the runes etched into each layer of my body. The sphere itself acts as its own source of magic.”
>You examine some of the runes on his shoulder, as well as the now healed tattoo you’ve got on the back of your foreleg
>They’re similar in design, but there are noticeable differences
>”There are thousands upon thousands of runic symbols that the Architects must know to create a golem. Which is why becoming one is grounds for praise alone.”
>The woods are slowly becoming less dense as you go on, perhaps you were nearing the edge of the forest
“What would happen if there were no Architec-”
>”Then nopony would have to be subjected to this kind of existence.”
>>
>>29591044
>You’re almost taken aback by his startlingly fast answer
“I uh… Was going to ask what would happen if somepony attacked and there were none around.”
>Sandstone stops for a moment
>”My apologies Rewind. I did not intend any rudeness.”
>”In an emergency situation, all that is needed to create a golem is the housing sphere. When covered in a thin layer of the surrounding material on the ground and charged with magic, the sphere itself will pull in the materials needed to create another golem.”
>He ducks under a lower hanging branch and continues
>”However, a golem created this way is unstable, and must constantly take in materials to keep its form.”
>It’s almost relaxing hearing Sandstone teach you about this
>This sort of thing was never covered at length in your classes
>Most likely because it’s a closely guarded secret
“I’ll keep that in mind just in case. Wouldn’t want to lose you now would I?”
>You pat the golem’s head
>”I do not plan on letting my chassis be destroyed. There is no cause for worry.”
>He reaches up and pats your head as well
>You can feel your cheeks redden slightly
>You’re glad that he can’t see your face right now

>Then, galloping from the back to the front.

>Careful and Safe are good at their work.
>Backup will be here in minutes, and you have the nice, comfy job of keeping this pony-

>"Mm. Mm... pl..."
"You seriously want to talk."

"Don't you pull that. I know you know you're cute."

>"Oof," you hear Safe exclaim.
>Then there's a flap of wings, followed by a "put me down! PUT ME DOWN!"
>Predictably, there's a thump as something heavy falls to the floor.

>At the sound, your captive starts shaking.
>Hard. Like she's freezing cold.
>It's the only thing close to resistance she gives against your continuing grasp.
>The movement's definitely involuntary. Fear or shock.
>Probably at getting caught, but, still.

>You act before you let your judgement get the better of you.
"I'll... let you take some deep breaths."
>She looks at you.
"DON'T call for help."
>You allow the 'or else' to linger, unsaid.
>She nods.

>You remove her mask.
>Should know what she looks like, just in case.
>Some of her mane comes loose, but the rest of it's tucked away.

>It's exactly what you'd do in her position, her arrest all but inevitable now.
>You won't fall for it.

"You could have pressed charges. You could have avoided coming here to do this. It's too late even if I believed you."

>"You saw what I was doing. It would have made a mess, but nothing would have been badly damaged. They'd all see I tried to do my part, so I'd be safe, and Moondancer would just be... inconvenienced."

>You think on this.

"You had to get involved before they knew you well enough to blackmail you."

>"I j-just thought it would be a good way to meet other mares like me. Moms. I didn't know much about the politics. They're innocuous on the surface, aren't they? T-this is the first time they've been caught so bad... I think."

>You look at her as she talks.
>She's younger. Maybe Careful's age.
>You could believe -- maybe -- she really was just naive.
>But that doesn't mean you should let her go.
>Actions have consequences. Naivety-independent.

"You want to get off the hook. Fine. You gotta give me something more, though. I can't just take your word."
>She hesitates.
"I'm not letting you go, but maybe I can still help you. Could you name everyone else here tonight? Even if they, say, took you alone, separate from them? Prove this was premeditated, not just some ragtag group?"
>She nods.
"Well, they'll be here soon, and I can tell them you'll do that. That you didn't do any harm. Besides... well, I jumped you, so whatever. But give me something. You understand I can't trust you until you do."
>>
>>29593340
>She starts to speak, hesitates, and closes her mouth.
>She's the picture of apprehension.
"What they blackmailed you for. Tell me. I won't tell a soul if you're not lying. I'm not some... vengeful person. But I've got nothing to trust you on. If it's THAT bad, that just makes it better collateral."

>She looks close to cracking. Maybe crying. Or puking.
"We have minutes. Maybe seconds. Out. With. It."

>"I-I'm... Honey Hive. Because I... my talent... job... is..."
"You beekeep. Sell honey."
>She nods.
>"Times were hard. Lost my swarm to a cold snap last year. I was out of inventory. My little foal and I were hungry. And... and I..."
>She stifles a sob.
>"I had nothing to sell but... except... I sold... mysel-"

>She's floating away from you.
>No.
>Wait.
>You're floating away from her.
>There's just no sensation of movement.
>Weird.
>Are you having a seizure or something?
>Hallucinating?
>And everything... it's tinted purple?

>That's when you see the unicorn you kicked into the glass-paneled bookshelf.
>She's on front of you.
>Also, below you.
>Her horn is glowing.
>This is probably bad.
>>
>>29593348
>She's unsteady on her four legs.
>Her uniform's torn in places, she's bleeding from scratches here and there...
>But, other than that, she looks fine.
>Nothing broken.
>Nothing injured beyond salves, bandages, and bedrests.
>Ponies are more durable than you thought, you think, helplessly.

>She speaks:
>"Let's see. How. You. Like it."

>Again, there's no sensation of movement whatsoever, but the shop flips upside-down and backwards.
>Or, rather, you flip head-over-heels.
>Honey Hive is standing upside-down, on the ceiling.
>Or, rather, upright, on the... you get the idea.
>You thought she'd look smug. Satisfied.
>After all, she successfully distracted you with her bullshit until her friend came around.

>She looks horrified.

>She stares helplessly into your eyes, like she was drowning and someone threw her a raft, only to sink it with an arrow.

>She starts getting smaller.
>And smaller.
>The injured unicorn zips past you above - er, below - your head, even though she's standing in place.
>The room spins slowly around you until you see the shattered wreck of the glass-paneled bookshelf.
>It rushes towards you.

I usually write straight in a post, so I get satisfied as soon as I hit the 2000 character limit for the night.

Time time I've copied the whole story over to a local document... you know, like I should have from the start. So I wrote in that document, this time, until there was a logical pause in the story, instead of to a specific character count, like I would in a thread reply.

This seems to be working better. Of course it is now 3AM and I have to be up in the morning. But now it seems like I'll actually finish Chapter 2 soon.

Hypethetical situation, IF he had been able to grab a book or candlestick as he was being pulled away. Would he have been able to throw it? No because it's within the "magic field"? Or it's not within the magic field since he grab it after being pulled away and therefore can throw it?

>Hell, you'd pay to meet a real monkey with a knife.

>This one, though, felt real.
>It felt so real the feelings you had in it linger in your head.
>Better sit up, get some water, and banish them from your head.
>A few minutes awake will clear them out.
>You take a deep breath, open your eyes, and crawl out of bed, being careful not to wake a snoozing Safety First.
>Wouldn't be polite, what, with her taking the first shift to guard Over the Moon.
>Even if she did keep you up for a while with platonic pillow-talk.

>You look down on the bed to see her and Moonie sadly separated.
>She's not completely covered with the ragged yet comfy old quilt Moondancer has adorned the thing with.
>Without your body heat, she shivers pathetically.
>This is as a log settles in the woodstove, still crackling audibly, no less.
>You sigh and flip the quilt down, exposing both the ponies to the "night air."
>Moondancer, by some fluke, is positioned with her head pressed into her pillow and her rear sticking up, snoozing soundly.
>You flip her tail off her back to cover her decency, pick her up, and plop her closer to the center of the mattress.
>You do the same with Safe.
>Like magnets, they instinctively flip over and latch onto each other in their sleep.
>The pony urge to cuddle must operate on some subconscious neurological circuit.
>You re-cover them with the quilt and head out to the main area of Over the Moon.

>"I'm sorry. You're okay now."

>What, at this time?
>She's on duty, and you're exhausted.
"I'm tired. Gonna get my zees."

I'd have been considerably less hospitable.

It would take every ounce of diplomacy to thank the Princess for her concern, and allow that I might require a guard posted _outside_ my door.

I might also volunteer to inform Ms. Van Guard that she is on leave, and state that she would most likely prefer to remain here for the time being unless commanded elsewhere.

Thank the Princess for her timely concern, express a need to rest, and close the door on her and her entourage. Done.

I'll be that guy. In all honestly this should be canon as its realistic. Anon is clearly in danger still, and any competent commander would not allow an obviously injured guard to continue in those duties until recovery.

The bats removal from her post until recovered as well as increased guard are exactly what Anon could expect in that circumstance.

It would actually add a bit of entertainment to see how Anon still ruts pone given the increased attention...

Aww yeah. All that hot stallion cock at anons disposal. Time to shove it down the throat and up the ass of anon.
>>
>>29611444
You may have top digits, but it's been eight days since the incident in story.

If either Princess wanted to interview Anon after his kidnapping, Brave and Vannie would be under orders to send word when he awoke. Failing that or if they are off-duty, another guard posted at the hospital or the staff could have informed them.

And Anon walked straight into the castle. No way he didn't pass at least one guard to report his arrival.

There are a whole lot of dead griffons in the badlands, at a Griffon outpost, that Luna may have personally sacked.

Either the Princesses are still too busy dealing with the political shitstorm, or they're deliberately giving Anon some space.

I'm not writing my own green to be good, I'm writing it because if I don't the story will only ever exist in my head and will disappear forever when I die and that would be a waste, even if it's just amateur writing for a small audience that doesn't know who I am.

Just write one or two posts about Kyrie. It doesn't have to be fucking Ulysses. That it will generate content for this thread is merely a helpful side-effect.

>You woke up a few minutes ago in this hospital room.
>It's the early afternoon now.
>You've spent your time awake examining yourself.
>Your left arm is in a cast and sling, first of all.
>You have limited range of motion in your fingers, and none whatsoever in your elbow or wrist.
>Must have been bad for them to splint it like that.
>At least you can move it at the shoulder, which isn't broken but still is sore as hell.

>The rest of you is mobile, but not much better off.
>You've counted stitches in a dozen places, and those are only the ones you can see.
>It hurts too much to twist around and look, but you're pretty sure there are more in your ass and thigh, left side. Must have been the primary region of impact.

>Many more superficial abrasions and lacerations on your arms, legs, chest, and back have been treated with a salve.
>Your neck, mercifully, seems to be okay, but your head aches terribly.

>It's quiet in here.
>Incredibly so.
>No sounds from outside the door.
>Either it's well-insulated, or it's an otherwise quiet day in the hospital.
>You wish there were at least some noise. Some hustle and bustle to listen to other than the ringing in your ears.
>>
>>29625278
>You pour yourself a glass of water from a pitcher left to the side of your bed.
>It's not very cool, but you're parched.
>You sip at it and contemplate your situation.
>For the first time in a while, you feel lonely.
>Your family's not here, you think, not for the first time. They never will be.
>There was no one to tell them your medical information, make decisions or sign things on your behalf when you went into surgery.
>There was no one here waiting while you were unconscious, in case anything else went wrong.
>There was-

>A pegasus pony you don't recognize enters through the door.
>"You're awake," she observes.

>Who...?
>Wait.
>You know that voice.
>>
>>29625283
>It's Safety First.
>You've just never seen her in the light without her armor and goggles.
>Not that unusual, considering you've known her less than twenty-four hours, but still.

>"Are you well?"
"I think so."
>The words come out as a dry croak. You take another sip of water.
"Good."
>She puts on the same smile she tried last night: the one that looks like she must practice in a mirror, that she has to consciously remind herself to put on in situations like these.
>You're flattered.

>She sits down in a chair besides your bed, content to wait in silence, it seems.
>Works for you. It kind of hurt to talk, anyway.
>You take the opportunity to look her over.
>You've never seen her like this in the light, after all.
>Her coat's not so much a solid blue as a white-blue, like glacial ice.
>Her mane, like some ponies', is two-colored: mostly a dark, near-navy blue, but with a wide streak of brighter blue, like freshly-picked blueberries.
>Without her helmet on, it falls to shoulder-length.
>The brighter-blue portion and some of the navy covers her left eye, and part of her face with it.
>If you didn't know her, you'd mistake her as shy for choosing the style.
>For all you know, of course, she could be around everyone but you and Careful, given her awkward disposition.
>You wonder: would she have been so forward with you if anyone else had introduced her?
>But you digress. Her cutie mark, you finally notice, appears to be a cross-section of a brass pin-and-tumbler lock.

>A similarity strikes you between her and Careful.
>'... SAFEty First.'
>>
>>29625286
"Is your dad a locksmith?"
>You ask it seemingly out of nowhere, but Safe doesn't hesitate at all in replying.
>"Yes. My mom, too. I learned all about it at a very early age. I got my cutie mark when I picked my five-hundredth lock. They were disappointed when I turned out to be interested in different facets of public security."
>One other question nags at your mind.
"Where's Careful?"

>Safe leans in close to you, looking at you oddly intently.
>"She is debriefing our commanding officer. On last night's occurences."
>She studies your face as you react.
>You think... she's trying to lie?
>Well, okay.
>'A' for effort.
>You nod.
"I understand. She must be busy."

>Safe smiles and sits back down, satisfied from your reaction that she successfully relayed the narrative somepony must have given her. Maybe Careful?
>You guess you really do understand, but you also worry a little. Why else wouldn't she be here?
>You can't stop your concern from showing, but you don't want to disappoint Safe.
>With all else that's been fucked up today, she doesn't need to know she can't lie worth a damn, too.
>That would be like a Maraschino cherry on top of this fucked-up day, you feel.
>Come on, Anon.
>Find a way not to ruin this last pony's day.

"I'm not feeling too well, Safe."
>Technically the truth. Good start.
>"Oh. Shall I get a bucket?"
>Stupid cute pony.
"Not like that. I... I just need a hug."
>"Okay! That's easier. And there's less risk of splashing."
>She flutters to the side of your bed and wriggles under your right arm.
>You suspect she'd perch on you again, like when she met you, if your medical circumstances did not prohibit it.
>"Is this good?"
"This is good."
>It is.

>You sit with Safe, taking calm pleasure for a moment in the fact that, for at least one pony, you've prevented today from going completely to hell.

“Sir…?”
>You’re voice no more than a whisper at this point, you futilely try to retain some semblance of authority. Something about his demeanor, or was it his unabashed forwardness, just set you off though somehow; finding a way to lull you away in a trancelike state. His warm talon caressed the side of your helmet before his fingers slowly took hold of the bottom lip, in an effort to remove it.
>Your hoof slips away to the sound of crumpling and clinking armor as the weight you were pressing down on the armor behind you had caused the neat pile to fall over. The jarring sound is enough to shake you from whatever stupor you were under the influence of.
“Sir!”
>Your voice ordered, slightly louder than originally intended, though you felt more confident with the outburst. Copper stopped his advance, his slight smile giving way to a mild frown.
>”What is it, Ms. Gleam?” He queried. You take a moment before answering to gather your thoughts. In addition, you step away from him a few good paces. Reaffirming your stance, you resume a more guard like posture. You still can’t quite look him in the face, so you opt to stare past him, through him even. It’s not much, but it helps.
“Sir, I believe there has been a misunderstanding.”
>Solid. Surely that would suffice.
>”I agree. Clearly you misunderstood your orders?”
>Uh…
“Err, no Sir. My orders where to make sure you were safe on your travel to the castle and then a post as watch mare for the evening.”
>”I had prior arrangements, however. Earlier I asked you if you were my escort for the evening.”
“Yes, Sir.”
>”Then were you lying to me?”
“N-no Sir!”
>>
>>29625881
>”Then will you disrobe so we may continue?” He took to leaning against the large bedframe, standing and crossing his arms. His tone held a mater-of-factness, as if you were just being insolent or killing time. You wouldn’t stand around for this anymore. You begin moving towards the door, determined, all the while still facing him.
“Sir, I will return shortly. I…”
>”Soldier!” He shouted. The unexpected volume and direct addressing causes you to halt mid-movement. You stand at attention.
>His stern face held no indication of humor or jostling. His stance didn’t change as you could see his eyes picking you apart from head to toe. The moment lasted what felt like an eternity. It’s only now you realize just how quiet the room and the halls outside had fallen. If you listened hard enough, you imagine you would be able to hear the grains of the Grand Hour Glass fall into their basin in the library on the other side of the castle.
>He hopped down from his lean and made his way over to you, eyes still locked on you. He stopped a few feet away, his imposing stature threating to whisk you away again, but you held fast waiting his next words.
>His downward beak then turned upwards in a smile and his eyes lightened. In an instant he regained that calm and warm face that you originally saw. He chuckled and finally spoke.
>”Haha, I can see this truly has been a miscommunication. I do apologize, Corporal. I was under the assumption you were the mare that was going to be providing my nighttime company. Guess not. Oh well, that is fine I suppose. I was looking forward to getting to know such a young and strong mare.” He laughed once more and turned tail, making way to his bags.
>>
>>29625884
>”If you don’t wish to provide entertainment tonight, that’s fine. I won’t stop you. But while you’re out doing whatever you were about to, would go and ask around and find the one that was assigned to me? Hopefully before I get too tired and decide to turn in early.”
“Yes, Sir!”
>You turn and noticeably make haste for the door. Opening it and closing it behind you in a slur of motion, you find yourself in the empty halls of the castle. You’re left there in the silence accompanied only by your flittering emotions and shortened breath.
>Did all of that really happen? Never had anyone really tried forcing themselves on you. Well, technically he didn’t really use force, you were just compelled to not resist. You take off your helmet for a moment, allowing the curtain of cobalt to fall over your face. You reach up with a free hoof and wipe your brow. You hadn’t noticed just how much you were sweating. You breathe heavy and carry your helmet down the hall.
>Did he really believe a member of the Equestrian royal guard was, well, some whore? The idea put a foul taste in your mouth as well as dampened the regality of the ‘famed’ Griffonstone ambassador. Does he think so little of ponies that something like that is expected just because he decided to show up? Forget that. Though him saying ‘strong’ as a compliment caught you quite nicely. Not often do you view yourself as the strong leading mare type, and even less so expect anypony to identify you as that kind of pony. It was nice. He’s still strange. You should probably avoid that one for now.
>Lost in thought over what’s happened in this last afternoon and evening, you completely miss somepony trying to talk to you.
>>
>>29625886
>”Em? Hey Em?” the female voice calls behind you. It take centuries and about another thirty feet when you stop to heed the caller. You turn to see Scarlet, adorned in the padded garments that typically go underneath the armor, clearly preparing for her shift. She has that look of “Where you going bitch” and, best you can tell, her shoulders and hoof are adding to the look.
“Oh! Oh oh oh. Sorry Scarlet!”
>You rush back to meet your burgundy furred friend down the corridor. “Wow, can’t even hear your best friend calling to you.”
“Again sorry,” You return sheepishly, “I guess it’s been a pretty stressful four days.”
>”I’d say so, you look absolutely ravishing.” You then follow her eyes as they gaze higher up on your form, mainly your mane. “Well well! Guess who’s showing their true self after all!”
>It takes you a moment, then you realize that you are still carrying your helmet. She… She must mean your roots! Shit! You quickly throw your dome defense back on your head, not bothering to pull your hair back. You pay for that swiftly, as once the helmet is down, you are now blinded in a forest of your own protein. You take it off and properly place it on your head, while Scarlet cackles in the desolate halls.
>”It’s not that bad, girl. Again, I can help with that.” She says through repressed laughter at your flustered state.
“Come on, B. I really can’t take it right now.”
>Strike one.
>”Alright then, tell me.” She put down her saddlebags and took to sitting on one as she listened intently. “What has my sweet Pon’Casso in a tizzy?”
>You sighed and sat on the floor, sighing deeply. If it wasn’t evident before, your stress was more so now. You begin to divulge the past few days in moderate detail, accentuating on personal opinion were appropriate.
“That’s the long and short of it.”
>>
>>29625888
>”Wow.” She says after genuinely hearing your plea of exertion. You take out your canteen and take a few sips of the warm water.
>”I can’t believe after all that…” Man you needed this water.
>”…you didn’t jump on the opportunity to let him take you and work out that tension.” Water now finds its way to the marbled floor as you spit it up. You choke briefly before regaining yourself.
“Excuse me!?” You blurt out.
>”Yeah.” Bloom mused, “I mean, when would you ever get a chance like this again? Exotic if you ask me.” She rested her head on her fore hoof and looked above, as if zoning out.
“Scarlet, really?! It was weird and creepy! I can feel chills running down my back just remembering it!” >That was an understatement. Shades of fiery crimson rose on your face as icicles tumbled down your spine.
>”I wonder if it’s barbed…”
“Scarlet! The hell woman!?”
>She stood up and wrapped a hoof around your neck and pulled you close. “Sorry to say this girl, there’s only one real resolution to all this.”
>Failing to fight back against her freakish earth pony strength, you inquire,
“What’s that?”
>”Seems to me like you gotta’ fuck a catbird.”

Again, still deciding on different ways to take this, shouldn't be another week before the next update. fingers crossed

As a side note to any writefags out there, what do you listen to if anything when writing? Me personally is Azam Ali. Random, but I'm curious.

I like the direction you took. Definitely helps bring Emerald's and Scarlet's personas into focus.

Careful did tell him cuddles are for friends too. I know snuggling with a pony would help ease my aches and pains.

>>29625288
Glad to see Anon's alright. I do hope Careful is ok as well.
>>
>>29626391
Random Anon's thoughts on Careful's whereabouts:

A. She is in a debriefing.
B. She conducting "special interrogations" of MILF ninjas.
C. She was injured taking out the MILF unicorn as is still being tended to. (Because knowing her she insisted they take care of Anon first.)
D. She's had a breakdown. (Please, no. She needs to know Anon is awake and is asking for her.)
>>
Hmm? Did we loose Feather Scarf?
>>

white noise.

on rare occasions otherwise, a song or two with a tone matching a scene I want to write up. The Prodigy for action, game soundtracks for exploration and adventure.

for cozy stuff and hanging out, just a mish-mash of anything I listened to in the mid 2000s, which is a time I regard really nostalgically (early teens, middle school, WoW was life).
>>
>>29626415
I was wondering if she may be in trouble for bringing her charge into a possibly dangerous situation. And even though she tried she still failed to protect him.
>>
>>29626641
Anon hasn't officially been her charge since short after they met. It was a routine 24 hour assignment since he'd been publicly threatened. They continue to hang out because they became friends and hooked up.

A few people mix that up due to the story title so I figure I should clear it up.

back when i wrote it was anything without long vocals, a quick chorus was fine but pop or whatever with more than hooks just killed my flow.

kek, that would be a really long assignment. CW Anon has painted such a rich world in my mind that the title has dual meaning in my headcanon. The obvious, Anon as the charge she was assigned originally and Anon, her love and as well as her close friends as the charge she chooses and holds dear.

Hmmm, true. Pony docs thinking ignorance is bliss afraid Anon knowing Careful's condition would hinder his healing. Though he is going to worry about her until he sees her regardless. Good thing Safety is there. Perhaps Moonie should come by as soon as she can as well.

(maybe this is still part 2?)
*How are Care and Moonie?
*What becomes of Honey Hive?
*Hearths Warming??

(in part 3?)
*Hearths Warming or Spring's arrival
*Resolution of the MILF arc? Is there a trial?
*expansion on the Anon, Care, Moonie and Safe relationship? Is herding/polyamory the norm in this 'universe'? (I remember Anon saying he's a 'one-mare' guy and I also remember Care expressing some attraction to Moonie.)
Perhaps the rebuilding of Over The Moon can be a vehicle for the exploration of a herd. Or at least help solidify a strong bond between the four of them.
*another cuddle pile?
*hint at how Anon arrived in Equestria

I trust you'll produce enjoyable material whatever you decide.

Yeah, I'm worried Careful is super not-okay right now.

I bet Safe would give a pretty straightforward evaluation of how bad anon looks right now. It would be good to know if we look bad enough that a pony might be concerned over our recovery before we have visitors.

Anon should be asking Safe to tell Careful that he is awake and feeling well enough to sit up, talk, and give hugs. And that he misses her, so if she is able to visit him, it'd make him feel better.
