However, I would say that being a brony is also defined as having a general value set and attitude towards the show, in terms of being very sincere, preaching the love and tolerance stuff, or at least generally having a more positive outlook on the show for certain reasons. We can't really advance the conversation because what bring a brony is means different things to both of us, so it really just kinda end with an "agree to disagree".
