can't go wrong with chainmail, its good for cutting but not so good for getting stabbed or getting brained with a wooden mallet, however considering tonics a fucking dragon I don't think she has to worry very much about getting stabbed.

blunt force trauma would still be an issue but there is not much you could do about that short of strapping explosive reactive armour plating on her to deflect the blow, doubt equestria has that though.

And i suppose she could get a breastplate to go over it and protect her core some more without doing too much to restrict mobility, no boobplate though or you'd trigger the /tg/ realismfag in me

It may suit her well in the future to have a tunic and a jacket of sorts made from a sort of spill-resistant material. The shape and cut would be flattering but it would cover the chest. Think of something that could stave off harm from a shattering glass vessel filled with not so fun ingredients.
