There are two definitions of "feral". Normal people use "feral" to describe a wild animal descended from domesticated animals. For furries, at least by my understanding, "feral" means animals that aren't "anthro" but still have intelligence and big eyes.

You're using the furry definition. By the furry definition, I think you're right that ponies are feral, but they are not feral by the usual definition. Furry feral is a subset of furry.

Have you looked into constructing form and lighting? This pic doesn't seem to have a defined light source. The bloom effect makes it less noticeable, but for example, above her right eye just under her hair its whiter. Where is that light coming from? And then on her nose there's no difference in shading.
The basic shapes seem right though, and I like the concept.

A few things to note:
-fairly distinct albeit low detailed style, while I grasp the sketchiness was used in places to promote a degree of shading depth, I would clean those up and use more hard shading techniques (A layer of transparent black often works nicely) to avoid the messy look. What you did on part of her mane that's behind her head looks nice, and could also be used as opposed to the aforementioned.
-Her eyes, while positioned correctly, having pupils of vastly differing sizes that likewise are not looking the same way, which is distracting.
-You're missing a '?' at the end of cutie in her dialogue

All in all it's reasonably competent. You should do some requests.

But the magical spirit whatsit turns into a little black unicorn babby that Twilight Sparkle names "Nyx" and adopts.
