>You are Starlight Glimmer
>Not many ponies know this about you, but you like moths. You have a large poster of a moth in your room.
>Most ponies like butterflies, but you think moths are beautiful.
>Like the butterfly, the life cycle of the moth represents starting anew. And when the silkworm emerges from its pupa as a beautiful moth, its cocoon can be unraveled into the softest fabric in Equestria.
>But there is something unique to moths. Moths cannot navigate on their own. They navigate by transverse orientation, maintaining a constant angle relative to the moon to fly in a straight line.
>This is why moths circle artificial lights: they get confused and maintain a constant angle relative to it.
>You can’t navigate on your own either, and sometimes you’ve circled bad things because you thought they were the moon, thought they were the right thing to do.
>But friendship is the moon. Your friends help you fly straight and do the right thing.
>Most ponies like butterflies, but you think moths are beautiful.
>Maybe someday someone will find you beautiful too.

I just wanted to apologize to you guys. Not that you'd really know me, but I used to really, really hate Glimmer for some time, but things changed a bit, I took a different perspective on things. I'm sorry for how I thought of all of you and your horse, you all are pretty good. So I want to be able to stick around and contribute when I can, maybe post some drawings or something when I can. I promise it won't be shit things like that one time with all the shitposters.

t. a Rarifag.
>>
>>28858359
Do not request drawings from this person. It is almost certainly calculator.

If you are not calculator, post a timestamped picture of a physical sketch demonstrating your talent and seriousness on which you have written today's date and then we may believe you.

>>28860400
Because he's a troll. He posts other people's art, pretends they're his, offers to take requests or baits people into requesting things, then posts an intentionally deplorable "drawing" and then says his signature punchline of "oh fuck, forgot my name".

The image he posted in >>28860430 is not his own work. He has used this tactic before, including saying he's not a shitposter.

Real drawfags will just draw things. We have seen this happen many times. If he's sincere, which he's not, he'll just draw things for us without needing requests. Notice him avoid the simple litmus test.

Calculator sometimes baited people two moves in advance.

If you were one of those shitposters, you saw what he's like and would not demand an apology, especially after participating in that chronic shitposting that destroyed two of our threads.

If you want to post Glimmer with us you're welcome to.
>>
>>28860863
No, you're right, I should apologize. I just got a bit irritated that it was being treated as fact that I was someone I'm not, when I was really trying to be genuine. inb4 that's what Glimmer felt.

I wasn't one of the shitposters, but I did think you deserved it before. And I hated Glimmer. But then I ended up realizing she wasn't an evil sociopath, and if you feel anything for her like how I feel about my waifu, I felt absolutely awful. So I'm sorry.

I'll post a picture of Trixie, Rarity and Glimmer tonight. And after that if you ever want to see any Rarity and Glimmer pics, I'll do them, as well as provide any content if the shitposting comes up again. I hope that's a way if making uo how I felt about all of you.

>>28860952
She is not an evil sociopath, but I believe she is a sociopath. She cannot help it; she was born that way. Her moral compass is strongly attenuated and awry: even after her reformation she mind-controlled Big Mac to make him loquacious and mind-controlled her friends to expedite her goals. But she tries to be good, and I would not love her otherwise. I like to think of the whole arc as a sort of beautiful friendship lesson about how even sociopaths can learn some verisimilitude of friendship.

>>28860667
The first response to that greentext was ironic since I'm the vector artist who makes abuse edits, the "nice sadist". But that greentext is testimony that I also sincerely love her and can contribute sweet things too.

Between the two things she did as a villain and Every Little Thing I think it's pretty obvious she has sociopathic tendencies. Manipulate ponies as tools.
>>
>>28859091
Why does he have the nickname Calculator?
>>
>>28866454
It hasn't been stated in the show, so it isn't canon.
>>
>>28868459
He chose it. Who knows. When he posts the intentionally deplorable iphone drawing he puts his name in the name field and says his punchline of "oh fuck, forgot [to put] my name [in the namefield] again".

He's been around forever, was the king of shitposting in 2007 but re-emerged only recently.
>>
>>28868497
Trixie is narcissistic, Pinkie has ADHD tendencies, Twilight used to have anxiety issues, Rainbow Dash has validation issues, Maud has high-functioning autism, and Starlight has sociopathic tendencies. This isn't difficult. You don't need the word "narcissistic" to appear in the show to know that Trixie is narcissistic.
>>
>>28864462
>>28864646
Thank you to both of you, I really appreciate that. I do especially understand that feeling, it is maleficent to go after someone and their waifu, I genuinely believe that.

>>28868531
Well I think people might be misunderstanding that "sociopathic tendencies" is a bad thing, it is just something she's working on. According to the comics at least, she's improved quite a bit.
>>
>>28868830
I want to love her until all her problems are gone
>>
>>28868776
Psychopathy is an incurable innate neurological disorder, an encephalographically detectable miswiring of the physical brain.

She can try to be good (and maybe that's what goodness is), but she will never have a developed moral compass like you or I. For her it must be an analytic understanding, like how high-functioning autists can analytically learn social skills.

It's so sweet that's she's cultivating whatever spark of conscience she has to try to be good despite her impairment.

>>28868840 for this post.

And yes, her sociopathy and her trying to be good in spite of it is part of why I love her.
>>
>>28868840
I listened to a TED talk on psychopathy and the speaker said something that made me feel bad for them.

He said that for the psychopath, other humans are like cardboard cutouts, that it's a very lonely existence. That's how it must be if they are incapable of empathy, incapable of understanding that other humans are human beings with persons inside of them rather than objects to be manipulated for their own gain. But they don't know what they lack, so they don't suffer.

I don't think Starlight is that for gone, otherwise she wouldn't value friendship as much as she does. She might have problems, but she is not completely mental, just like the rest of the mane6 all seem to have some mental issues.

holy shit, Prith, where are you?

>>
>>28868952
She is pretty far gone; even after her reformation, she mind-controlled her friends without a scruple. And what did she do subsequent seeing she had turned them into mindless slaves? Order them around, not a scruple. Things were going well; she did not see the problem. Even when she apologized, it seemed she didn't understand what for what she was apologizing. In another episode, she cast a spell on Big Mac to make him loquacious, played with him like a toy.

She has a little spark of conscience. Just a little, just enough to see that friendship is good. But maybe she cannot understand what friendship or connection are but can see their shadow, that she is happier with friends and that makes it good.

She is broken and I love her.

>You are Starlight Glimmer
>You cannot even think. You are writhing in agony. You sometimes cannot even scream. 2,000 volts are coursing through your body, two diodes attached to each of your hind hooves, and two to each of your forehooves.
>The hoof is one of the most sensitive parts of the pony; the nerve bundles within them are like the nerve bundles within teeth.
>Your muscles spasm uncontrollably, and your hooves are locked upright. You cannot buckle, and you are buckling.
>There is only excruciation. If you could think, this would be worse than Hell. Your face is soaked with tears, yet you cannot feel it, are not aware of it. There is only pain beyond imagination.
>It’s over. Anon is hugging you, assuring you that everything is ok. You begin sobbing again, sobbing harder than you ever have and as hard as you sobbed five minutes ago. You are still in Hell and in another five minutes, he’ll turn the voltage back on.
>Anon pours ice water on you to soak you; it increases conductivity. You are soaking and sobbing; you cannot even think you are sobbing so hard.
>Anon resumes hugging you, petting your wet fur. The frying blackened your hooves and it is agony to stand.
>Anon stops hugging you and returns to the control board. Between your sobs you form your first coherent thought in ten minutes. You look at him and whimper, “no."
>You are back in the other Hell.

I have about as much respect for your "rules" as I have for toilet paper.

These threads used to be wonderful. We had no need for retarded "rules" and we knew when to let it die when it lost its luster. Now, they're shit.
>>
>>28873150
It's just two rules. There's no issue with discussing old-Glim but when you begin slinging mud like you immediately did that makes for a toxic thread, and when you post my abuse edits that makes for a toxic thread.

I believe it was you who wrote about how you wanted to strap Glimmer to a parilla and run heavy electric shocks through her over the course of months until she reverted to old-Glim. I love nu-Glim but that was what inspired my short green >>28869376. I make most of the content in this thread you enjoy. There are just two rules to the thread's social contract.
>>
>>28873296
These aren't even rules; they aren't enforced. They're more like guidelines.

I can't bring myself to like Nu-Glim because I can't *relate* to Nu-Glim, and I can't find any other reason to like her. Every time I see her, I'm reminded of Old Glim and how she was lobotomized by Hasbro. Seeing her get lobotomized was like seeing *myself* be lobotomized, so strongly did I relate to her.

The fact that Glimmer threads have gotten considerably worse since Starlight's reformation has not helped matters.
>>
>>28873330
She was certainly the best villain by far and the least monodimensional, but still fairly monodimensional. She was not a real character. We did not even know her; now we do. She is still the same Glim, only grown.

But Nu-Glim *is* shit.

Old Glim is wonderful. Such a nuanced and realistic character. Could easily be identified and empathized with.

But then we got stuck with Nu-Glim, a shrill little cunt whose character and motivations are about as consistent as a bad LSD trip. Sure, M.A. Larson came up with the shitty idea that she became the way she was because of something that happened in her childhood, but Haber comes in and turns a pile of shit into a heap of radioactive toxic waste. Sunburst is worse-looking than most OC's I've come across, and Thorax borders on parody.

Simply put, Nu-Glim is wasted potential in equine form. I hate her.
>>
>>28874613
Alright, you can have that opinion. But notice I said the toxic part was saying her fans are shit, i.e. hating each other.
>>
>>28874626
There's nothing toxic about honesty.

Not intrinsically, but think things through. What kind of thread would you prefer, one in which people can post and make content for both old-Glim and nu-Glim and discuss both civilly, or one in which you can post both old-Glim and nu-Glim and people are calling each other shit and spewing hate at each other?

Fantasizing about beating Glim and posting it on 4chan doesn't make you any better in a fight. Moreover, comparing abuse to fighting is comparing apples to oranges.
>>
>>28874683
But the problem is I never, ever see content for Old Glim. It's always Nu-Glim. And as much as I really like the occasional piece where Nu-Glim gets beaten, or raped, or murdered, or the like; I can't help but feel withdrawn from my old fixation. Granted, I could go to DB or Fimfiction for any number of other ponies getting abused or tortured, but although it is enjoyable, it's just not the same.

It's not a single loop within a multigraph. It's got many cycles. It's simply a cyclic network.

>>28874962
It's really not, because you can't model the brain with a graph without layers upon layers of abstraction. You can call it a network, because the word is broad enough to cover it. And isn't "feedback loop" redundant in the context of graph theory? A (oriented) cycle always forms a feedback if you represent a dynamical system using a graph (normally called a network). And why call it a loop when it's a whole bunch of loops? "Feedback network" seems way more elegant to me.

>>28876697
Yes. Being friends with a sociopath can be challenging, but considering she's trying to understand goodness she just needs love and understanding.

>>28876732
The fact it would be a challenge is what would make it stimulating. I would be unable to grow blasé.
>>
>>28876773
>it would be a challenge
It could very possibly ruin your life.

And she's literally incapable of comprehending your "love and understanding" in any capacity apart from an analytical one. You're giving her a license to manipulate and use you for her own gain. It's pointless.
>>
>>28876811
I am always fantasizing about hurting her because pony is an outlet for fantasy, but I have a conscience that suppresses sadism. We are talking about how I would actually be with her in an asexual relationship if she were truly real.

Yes, I am giving her a license to try to manipulate and use me for her own gain. So I would have to always try to outwit her. It would be like an unwitting constant game of chess, constant intellectual stimulation. I would always come closer to understanding and invariably outmaneuvering her only for her to change the game again. I would love that so much.
>>
>>28876921
But you have a conscience. Which, as far as this sort of thing is concerned, is a weakness. A *crippling* weakness. E.g. you can't put poison in Sunburst's wine because killing is wrong, you can't forge her signature on an abusive contract because forgery is wrong, you can't stalk her to gather information about her routines because stalking is wrong, et cetera. You either won't do these things or you will with a cost to your psyche whereas she can do them without scruples. She has a significant advantage over you even if you are slightly superior to her from an intellectual standpoint.
>>
>>28876969
I would never kill but I would forge her signature on an abusive contract if cornered, even beat her if in assiduous analysis factoring ethical modalities and its recursively psycho-analytical long-term effect on her move-set as a function of her cogitation I determine it condonable and preferable.

I am writing a greentext about living with Starlight the sociopath in such a relationship.
>>
>>28877224
You would forge your waifu's name on an abusive contract, but you wouldn't kill anyone?

You have one strange moral compass, my friend.
>>
>>28877293
I would plan my moves to avoid that scenario if possible; it is more logical and more ethical to in constant apprehension formulatively veer her verisimilitudinously good than to act inimically to that.

>>28877386
But why play an inherently amoral game when your primary concern is morals?

And you know you say you want to "share the thread and be friends" or whatever but you just don't stop. granted you stopped posting the pics but I find your text to be some of the most disturbing things I've seen on this board and actually on this site and Ive seen A LOT.

But it's true. We didn't choose to be sadists. The environments in which we were raised made us that way.

Maybe if the world had shown us more sympathy during our formative years, we would know what it felt like to have sympathy for others.

I kind of would.
I love her bitchiness.
>>
>You are Anon.
>You have been living with Starlight Glimmer for two months.
>She tries to be good, but she is incapable of understanding the concept.
>For Starlight the psychopath it is like trying to be good in an RPG in which everyone else is an NPC. It is still nothing but manipulation, and because everyone else has always been an NPC she has no reference for what real goodness is. She was born into a world of NPCs, and that’s all she’s ever known
>But of course, you’re not an NPC, and while she obviously knows this she does not really. Language cannot penetrate her psychopathy. It’s in her wiring.
>But you love her. You even love her to a great part due to it.
>You just woke up. It is Sunday morning.
>You wrap your arms around her. She is soft and warm.
>“Good morning Anon,” she mumbles.
Habit. She is half-asleep. No ulterior motive.
>You continue hugging her.
>After a few minutes you crawl out of bed. She curls up a bit and winces her eyes only slightly.
Manipulation.
>You take a shower.
>>
>>28882742
>When you emerge from the shower she is not in the room anymore. You dress.
>You find her in the kitchen cooking breakfast.
She wants something.
She is an intelligent mare. She even knows you know this.
But it is like game theory: playing along is a Nash Equilibrium. It keeps her kind.
>“If you know ignorance, do you know ignorance?”
Not what you expected. You have insinuated that if she ever bores you, you will leave. Leverage is good.
The obvious meta-ironic answer is ‘I don’t know,’ but that’s rather pedestrian and doesn’t turn the tables on her.
– “Do you?”
>She pauses.
>“If you think so.”
The undertone was an antimetathesis of the original premise: that she’s as ignorant as you think she is, yet you are ignorant. Clever mare.
>“I’d like to go to the aquarium today.”
There’s the request. She didn’t even ask if you’d like to. She could have gone alone, but she likes your company. That’s how you know she loves you.
>She thinks sea slugs are cute. You once got her a plush sea cucumber, but she threw it away.
– “We’ll go.”
>>
>>28882749
>“When threatened, sea cucumbers can discharge their intestines to ensnare predators in their toxic insides, which they then regrow.”
>You like seeing her happy.
>You continue around the aquarium.
>“If you cut a sea cucumber into pieces each piece can regrow into a new sea cucumber.”
>“The Blue Sea Slug feeds on the Portuguese Mane-Of-War.”
>“Nudibranches concentrate toxins from the sponges they eat.”
>What a cute pony. You love spending time with her. And when she immerses herself in a topic she forgets her constant manipulation. You love the usual repartee, but it is sometimes nice to relax. She’s almost a normal pony when she’s like this. You are glad she’s seldom like this.
>You and she begin walking home.

Show don't tell, Lector. I expect this sort of shit from the typical greentexting hack, but you? You should know better.
>>
>>28882837
But it is all mind-games. It is what is happening in your mind. What you say is a good rule of thumb, but this level there is no way to tell what is in the mind than to tell what is in the mind. Maybe you didn't realise that.
>>
What the hell! How did the last two posts get deleted!
>>
>>28882760
>When you and she had arrived at the aquarium she had conveniently forgotten to bring any bits. She is a superb liar and passed it off as an accident. Even if it were it would be ideal if she remunerates you; every pawn is necessary, and this is a matter of her perception of you.
She knows you would not leave her over something so small, that at worst you would view it as a lesson that you must always anticipate this. If you steal from her to make a point that would break the equilibrium. Silence cuts your losses.
>Has she stolen from you? A while ago you concocted a safeguard and test. You leave a few bits on your desk as a decoy. You clandestinely keep a larger sum of bits in your locked desk drawer for which you hide the key, but not extremely carefully. You keep most of your wage in a vault that you keep secret.
>The strategy is this: She knows the bits in the drawer are a test. The second level of apprehension is that the larger hidden sum of bits is genuine. Thus, she might think that that second tier is not a test when it is. However, on a tertiary level, the level at which she surely is, she realises that you anticipated the second tier, and thus knows that you know what she is like and are careful in monitoring and preventing her inclinations, too assiduous to try stealing from you without losing you. She has not stolen from you.
She won the aquarium bits, and her goal was not the bits but to make a point. It wasn’t many bits, and now you are the wiser for it. Maybe it was a poor move on her part after all.
>>
>>28882924
>At home, you go to your study quarters as she studies and practices magic in your shared room, which is mostly hers.
>You know that she once mind-controlled her friends because she didn’t realise it was wrong. She was just trying to get what she wanted. Like her mentor, Twilight does not betray the breadth of her sagacity, but in private conversation, you learned she saw through Glimmer from the start, which is why she was firm but not angry when Glimmer mind-controlled her friends. You respect her for her commitment to friendship prudentially extended even to well-meaning psychopaths.
>It is dinner.
>“Did you have a nice time at the aquarium Anon?”
– “”I had a very nice time. Sea slugs have interesting defences. If you mind knowing what I think of them, I don’t know.”
>A true statement, but also slightly odd. She is a brilliant mare; she would take note. Mind knowing. Defenses. Don’t know. If you knew what defences Twilight laid, there is a possibility she could know. But she cannot be sure this is what you meant; after all, your statement made sense on its own, friends trust friends, and knowledge is power. And you cannot give her an inch of power.
>Besides, you know she finds you fun. She likes the repartee.
>You love her very much, this broken pony. She tries to be good.
>At night you wrap your arms around her. She is soft and warm.
>>
>>28882905
And now you're being patronizing to your readers in a sad attempt to deflect criticism. Such a pity. Tsk. When will you learn that greentext is a very shitty format for telling stories like this?

>>28882915
Scruffy is many things. Competent is not one of them.
>>
>>28882933
Then at least it's not an issue with my writing but an issue with that greentext cannot tell this type of story well.

I worked very hard on formulating these mind-games.

Also, I'm not Lector.
>>
>>28882958
Of course. You're Vector these days. My mistake.

And it's not just greentext, but the whole second person, present tense package. Direct narration of the protagonist's thoughts is well and good in moderation, but here, the *reader* is the protagonist, so you end up shoving thoughts into the reader's head that he likely wouldn't actually be thinking in that situation. I would've been perfectly fine with it if it were a traditional third or first person story.

Maybe you feel compelled to write this way because it's le epin fourchan culture. But the Glimmer thread has always been an oddball anyway, so you might as well make these sorts of deviations for the good of your craft. Again, you should know better
>>
>>28882933
You're right. I should have written in proper paragraphs. It's just that everyone writes in greentext; it's the custom. It's how you let people know you're telling a story. Who reads paragraphs? You go to fimfiction for that. I made the best I could out of greentext.

And "Tsk tsk, you should know better?" I don't think you realise how much of a condescending asshole that makes you. You don't have to try to make others feel bad to make your point.
>>
>>28883038
>Who reads paragraphs?
More people than you might think. At least, anyone with enough brains to parse your polysyllabic lexicon and multi-layered plot intrigues in the first place, which 90% of greentext readers don't.

>I don't think you realise how much of a condescending asshole that makes you.
But I do. That was why I did it; I felt I was responding to like with like.
>>
>>28883094
That's how I felt when I said, "Maybe you didn't realise this." Responding to like with like when you said >>28882837. You didn't make any coherent point in that post. You just called me a hack and patronisingly said I should know better. You are a very patronising person; you are currently being patronising to 90% of greentext readers by saying they don't have enough brains to understand me.

And thanks for recognising the multi-layered plot intrigues.
>>
>>28883159
I did not say you were a hack. I said you were behaving like one. I said you should know better because I believe that you're capable of doing better.

If I thought you were a hack, I wouldn't have bothered reading your work in the first place, or perhaps skimmed through it and responded with snide remarks if I were in an amicable mood.
>>
>>28883203
Thanks anon. You are still condescending to most of the board, and you were patronising to me, but I suppose it's inextricable from the weltanschauung that begets your valid point. I appreciate and will integrate your excellent input.

To quote Comrade Syme:
>‘You haven’t a real appreciation of Newspeak, Winston,’ [Syme] said almost sadly. ‘Even when you write it you’re still thinking in Oldspeak. I’ve read some of those pieces that you write in ‘The Times’ occasionally. They’re good enough, but they’re translations. In your heart you’d prefer to stick to Oldspeak, with all its vagueness and its useless shades of meaning.

You've addressed the biggest issue, thus have made a tremendous improvement, but this still reads like greentext. Still choppy; stilted; undescriptive.

Despite that, though, it's good. But I think you're capable of doubleplusgood.

Well, first of all, I was very ill. I was institutionalised for months. But I never really loved her like I love Glimmer. She had been more like a toy; Glimmer I love as a pony. This has been implicit in the likes of my moth greentext at the beginning of this thread, among so much more.

I can relate to anons here on beating and sometimes torturing the pony they love. I stick to that.

This is the first time I've found a thread that loves ponies the same way I do, and how amazing, they love the same as I.

This thread means so much to me. It is part of why I try so hard to always be kind.

Pseudo-facetiously, your paranoia sounds like something they could help.

But really, you don't want to end up institutionalized. It's awful. And I did not realize how onerous living with bipolar had been until it was stabilized. You don't know how much better things can be.

It took a long time to find the right meds that work for me. It is nuanced and contingent upon many hidden variables. But do you know what vow all doctors take, their foremost maxim and principal principle? "Do No Harm."

I already have been. Several times. Hasn't helped one bit.

>But do you know what vow all doctors take, their foremost maxim and principal principle?
Doctors take the Hippocratic Oath. And teenage boys claim to be eighteen when they view pornography online. I don't buy any of it.
>>
>>28897221
Maybe if you would try staying on meds and actually communicate with your doctors you won't be institutionalized again.

I'm all kinds of "fucked up" too. During my latest depressive episode, I kept hallucinating voices telling me to kill myself. I could have conversations with them and they wouldn't stop. I scheduled an emergency meeting with my psychiatrist and he gave me meds that helped immensely.

They can make your life so much better if you trust them and try. It's just not a mathematical science.

Or they can end it. I've seen that happen before, once with a close family member. I've seen them make peoples' lives worse more often; not once have I seen them make lives better.

But maybe you've somehow stumbled on one of the very few people who don't treat it like the racket it really is. I don't have that much faith in my good fortune.
>>
>>28897392
>what would they have to gain from prescribing the wrong meds?
Causing more problems with the patient means more repeat business. If the patient ever gets suspicious that the medication could be causing the problem, the doctor could easily excuse it by claiming that the medicine simply needs a simple adjustment, then making the change in prescription accordingly. And since the patient is presumably mentally handicapped, and the doctor is a certified professional in the field, his word is taken over the patient's in practically all cases.

The patient (i.e. the sole witness to the crime) isn't taken seriously, so the doctor gets away with it. Malpractice isn't illegal if you don't get caught.
>>
>>28897332
We're derailing the thread but what would they have to gain from prescribing the wrong meds? A malpractice lawsuit?

Doctors spend 10 years in higher education to become the experts you can trust. You know as well as I that you can be very irrational. Consider that this is such an instance.

50% of homeless people are schizophrenic, and they are homeless because in their schizophrenia they refuse to take meds.
>>
>>28897433
I thought you might say that.

Can you not see how it's irrational? If you're mentally ill you need to stay on meds anyway. You'll continue seeing the psychiatrist forever regardless, like how I've been seeing this one for two years.
>>
>>28897451
>You'll continue seeing the psychiatrist forever regardless
True, but the interval between each visit is longer the more stable the patient's situation. A patient whose dosages are perfectly fine might see his doctor every month, or every two months. A patient whose dosages constantly need to be adjusted might see his doctor every week. Assuming the patient pays per visit, that's at least four times the monthly revenue, not mentioning the pleasure involved in keeping patients in a constant state of confusion and anguish.

Why do you think neo-psychology uses subconscious as a source for correct diagnostic?
Its because people never open completely, they lie even when they are being helped, but their subconscious cannot lie

I think thats why glimny is still so false and feels forced, she wants to be honest but she just cant
In FiM universe people cant understand that and they hate her, what a bunch of morons

This has got to be the most cancerous place on the board. Even glimmer doesn't deserve this. You've failed your waifu.
>>
>>28899954
Well, my personal experience at the very least has been pretty different. Some doctors genuinely want to help people, though it might come as a shock to you. True, some others don't, but guess what? The ones who don't care really just want you out of their face. There's no enjoyment in watching you fail to improve, you're just boring and obnoxious, and they want you out of their face. Even the worst doc I met wasn't malicious, he just wanted things to get done with the whole thing. Again, most people out in the real world don't enjoy watching others really suffer unless it's deserved.
>Why would anyone competent enough to get through medical school give a single solitary fuck about anyone else?
From what I've seen, that's how some people find meaning in life. Here people obsess over technicolor horses because it fills some gap in their heart, for others, being kind does the same job. Sure it sounds stupid, but it's not like happy horse land is some beacon of logic either.
You really gotta accept that while human beings are generally bad, you're making them out to be more depraved than they really are. Again, you're thinking that others are sadists like you. For most, watching those you hate suffer is likable, but watching those you love suffer is heartbreaking. You gotta adapt or they world's gonna throw you to the side. And before you say it already has, things can still get much worse.

It's substantially better than most, and you have fair attention to detail, but I would not quite be able to masturbate to it.

I think the main problem is the bruising is too saturated — fix this, and that'll fix most of it — but you should also pay attention to the implicit contours of the face. I suggest having the bruise more closely follow the eye line, especially near the bridge of her nose.

I see you have a small trickle of blood from her nostrils. I suggest also some light bruising there too and making the trickle a bit more salient. As is it sort of looks like a distracting pixel.

The mouth trickle is fine, but you have to ask yourself: what is the narrative? I can make sense of that only by that she bit her tongue when Anon punched her, which is a nice touch.

Well, maybe you now went too far in the other direction—there's now no red, which means the bruise happened a long time ago—but I'm a perfectionist so pardon me.

But I have another piece of substantial advice, more important that hue. It is important to highlight the distinctness of the swollen lower eyelid. It gives depth and unf. Otherwise it's just a red-purple splotch.

When I do these I use two bruising layers, one of which is for that.

I love Starlight so much. Why won't the Glimmerbeaters just fuck off to their own thread?
>>
>>28922161
I love Starlight very much too and some of us have been contributing sweet things and non-abuse as well. I'm here because I participate in, enjoy, and contribute much more than just abuse. This thread is for Glimmer. It's unfortunate many people decided to leave.
>>
>>28922161
they are like bullies on a playground destroying sandcastles. they aren't here because of their "love for sandcastles". they are here because they love to destroy them. someone has to build them and that's you.
>>
>>28922234
Why would we try to destroy the thread devoted to the pony we love? All we did was discuss our way of loving her too, and other than that we participated in content and discussion like any other glimmerfag.
>>
>>28922282
the thread would be the playground in that analogy, not the sandcastles.
>>
>>28922320
Then what are the sandcastles? We have destroyed nothing in the thread, nor any abstract concept associated with anything in the thread. All that happened is many people left.

>>
>>28922339
peoples loving fantasies for glimmer. what is the fun in abusing if there is nobody to abuse? you get your healthy dose of loved glimmer from the real fans, then you can put your imagination of destroying her onto it and feed off the salt. you don't have to pretend both sides. you said it yourself, you want to beat her and hug her. just now you can constantly beat her because others will do the hugging for you. sadly now all sandcastles are destroyed and the people are at another playground, going there won't help, eventually nobody will come out to play anymore.
the only winning move is not to play or in other words, love another pony. get as far away from glimmer as possible

I don't and it's probably because you have some assumption about the nature of things that I don't have.

>>28922399
And there's the assumption: that we feed off of salt. That one anon who refused to spoiler my abuse edits enjoys salt, but I just enjoyed sharing content on hurting her with other people who also wanted to hurt her deeply.

I enjoyed it so much. It was the first time I found a thread of other people who love ponies the same way I do, and how amazing, they loved the same pony as I.

I was so, so happy anon. It must have been what other people feel like in their waifu threads all the time. And now it looks like this thread can't sustain itself and I'm going to lose that.

And that's your fault. If you actually made content, you wouldn't be in our thread, bitching about us minding our own business in our own thread.

Drink bleach, you stupid fuck. Nobody will miss you.

The analogy from my take is some like to create and some like to destroy, especially what others have built.
One is productive and the other isn't in this case.

I like how you guys like to play the victim card so much. Truly shows just how delusional you guys are.

Glimmer lovers still make content they just don't bring it here anymore or really even to this board cause they can't stand you guys

So it's shit, because that's not what's going on. What's going on is both sides are making their own castles, and your side is crying like a bunch of babies over our side using a different architectural style from yours.

>Glimmer lovers still make content they just don't bring it here anymore
Then why are you here? Go enjoy all that content, instead of waddling over here and shitting in your own pants.

>>28922563
Cut it out, please. Trying to reason with her is a clearly waste of time.
>>
>>28922578
Anon, I agree with most of what you've said if I isolate the points themselves, but your being so inflammatory is much worse than trying to reason.
>>
>>28922593
You can't fix stupid, so you might as well use it to make salt.

The actual best thing to do is ignore them entirely, but it seems like you're too idealistic to do that.
>>
>>28922617
I will believe in people's capacity for reason and civilised discussion no matter what.

Even if the anon with whom I'm discussing refuses, other anons reading the discussion may see.
>>
>>28922631
Every anon here has his mind made up already. That includes you.

I'm going to continue to drive a wedge between the two sides, because that's what needs to happen. We already have separate threads, so we're going in the right direction. You chasing after windmills is only going to make the change longer and more painful.
>>
>>28922658
If you drive a wedge in the manner you are doing it is only going to make them hate us, possibly shitpost here, which will make us hate them and the whole situation becomes worse.

It is much better if we simply respect each other (if not actually then in interaction) and each other's sovereignty.
>>
>>28922667
They're the ones shitposting here. We're not shitposting there. It needs to be established that they're not welcome in our thread, just like it's established that we're not welcome in theirs.
>>
>>28922674
But they are welcome here so long as they don't complain and contribute meaningfully, analogous to how it was fine that I had a discussion about the show in the other thread because it was not related to abuse.
>>
>>28922686
>as they don't complain and contribute meaningfully
Which isn't going to happen. You have to be realistic about these things. The world does not work like it does on MLP.
>>
>>28922694
You have to believe that for some, it might.

Even if it doesn't, we must still hold on to the ideal.
________

I move that as of the next thread, OP should read:
-----

All glimmerfags and glimmercontent welcome.

Don't complain about abuse.

Don't bicker over old-Glim vs nu-Glim.

The ideal will only turn it into shit. Just like it's doing right now.

I move that we rename this thread the 'Glimmerbuse Thread', and remove the rule against posting abuse pics.

Let's vote on it.

I am NOT participating in your ridiculously loaded and misrepresentative first poll option.

I am not saying we should keep trying to get them to come back. Just that we should accept them in principle and make that clear in the OP.

I am also not saying that we should go back to spoilering abuse images. They left despite it.

I've been coming to Glimmer threads since before Nu-Glim came along and attracted these cancerous retards like flies to shit. I didn't need it. But I did get a laugh out of the reminder that all this started over a guy asking for a gif of a black man kicking Glimmer into a wall.
