All the main 6 were done already once. Two books we have coming up, apart from the two up there, are the Trixie book and the Twilight princess book. I'm thinking they're running out of things to book after Spike and the CMC, so if the series lasts long enough then they'll go back to the main 6 I think.

I liked No Second Prances for the interactions she had with Trixie and Twilight, but this book was pretty great as a focus on her. I think I'll have to watch the episode one more time till I can say which was better.

Being able to be a part of a game night with the main 6 plus Spike, Starlight, and anyone else they normally have sounds like it would be really fun. I'd be curious how a game of something like Twilight Imperium would turn out if I could convince enough of them to dedicate a day to it.

Its pretty simple; here's how it goes:

Starlight and twilight are trying to work together to perfect a time distortion spell of a past unicorn that couldn't get it right. As far as I can tell, the spell was supposed to create a localized Time dilation effect so that the caster experiences time faster in a bubble while the outside world goes at normal pace. Either way, its not really an important part of the story except as a throwaway justification for starlight's actions.


Anyways, starlight is feeling stressed by twilight wanting to do everything together, and wants to work on the spell alone instead of together; Twilight doesn't seem to get this and is micromanaging starlight a bit, which is the cause of starlight's stress. Starlight wishes there was a way for her to essentially get alone time away from twilight to work on the spell herself, and randomly the castle seems to create a room out of nowhere for starlight to do that in.

Starlight goes into the room, begins working on the spell, everything seems great to her; when she leaves the room twilight calls her into the throne room with all the other 6, because apparently Starlight's attempts to make the spell work have started making everyone all around ponyville experience hyper time, more or less, and have been randomly speeding up and slowing down.
This also is COMPLETELY unimportant to the actual plot.

Anyways, Twilight stresses out because she thinks its something that she (twilight) did, starlight doesn't want to fess up, and twilight insists that the two of them work together to figure out what's wrong.

Starlight still has issues working with others and wants to go back to her alone room, like some kind of magical neet, and work in peace, but also doesn't want to tell twilight about the room or what she's been doing in there.

Twilight ends up picking up on this, tells starlight to go visit Sunburst in canterlot, and says she'll take care of things herself and not to worry.

Starlight immediately steals a bunch of food and locks herself up in the room, and begins working on the spell.

Starlight starts stealing more food by dragging it through the castle telekinetically, and spike notices the Loaves of bread flying around and tells twilight.

twilight shows up, and it turns out that Starlight has created a magical vortex of death "Accidentally" by mistake.

twilight and starlight are both so tired from working on spells that they have no juice left; Twilight wonders why starlight was trying to hide from her, Starlight tells her that she's an introvert and doesn't like to spend every single waking second with her friends, twilight realizes she's been trying to micromanage Starlight as a student instead of giving her freedom to act on her own, and both realize their mistakes, and work together to end the death vortex before it engulfs all of ponyville.

They give a throwaway line later that the room that starlight found was a Magical amplification chamber, which is why she was powerful enough to make a death vortex "Accidentally" on her own.

She's not the new 7th member, that much is evident by the fact she won't be in the movie, or at least isn't a part of the main cast. What's probably going to happen is the S6 finale will be another shitty "Wow, isn't Twilight great?!" with Starlight featured as her sidekick. Then Starlight's character arc will close and she'll fuck off. She'll probably appear now and then in S7, but she won't have a major role again as there will be another new character.

Starlight is the pony word's equivilent to Sunset shimmer, and all signs point to her being more or less an alicorn in the human world, what with her toys all having wings and her daydream form.


Starlight is the most magical pony yet shown in the show, and is even better at magic than twilight herself, not to mention she's being trained in friendship personally as twilight's protege/Partner.

She's 100% going to become an alicorn soon.
as for the other 5 becoming alicorns, The others are just twilight's retainers, they don't have the Potential to be rulers/princesses like Starlight and twilight did/do; I mean starlight herself is very clearly destined to be a ruler of some type given her backstory and introduction.

The S6 finale is about Glimmer and Discord which for me, it downgrade Discord into becoming a supposrtive character. Instead having his full reofrmation episode that make him a hero, he will need to share the same scenario with Glimmer. She's completely pointless and forced into the series. She has the same arc as Discord and same perosnality as Sunset Shimmer. And beside being a villain and getting reformed there is not a single idea behind her character to make the series more interesting. She's just there being an addtional bg pony.

Her Self loathing is a shittier version of Luna's ex-villain past (especially since luna had a much better reason for becoming a villain); in order for self loathing to really come across as a good characteristic, you generally want a competent reason for their evil actions, not just "A boy moved away". Otherwise they're just reminding the audience about how retarded they were. Fuck, they should have come up with a good reason for her equality schtick, because it wasn't a bad angle, except for the shitty origin. I mean, fuck, Snowfall frost's backstory was drastically better than Starlight's.

Her self loathing comes from the fact that she stole the literal identity from everyone in that village over such a stupid reason, and the fact that she was willing to destroy all of equestria just to get back at the m6 for taking that away from her. Yeah I would loathe myself pretty hard if I did something like that. Was her backstory botched in the show? Yes, but my impression from that episode was that her loosing her friend was the thing that STARTED her down that path. It wasn't a process of "oh I lost a friend so I'm gonna go fuck over an entire village" kinda thing, I'm sure it was that small insecurity after losing her only friend that just snowballed until she formed that village. And besides she was like 8 at the time. Hopefully they expand on her backstory in future episodes, but I'm not that optimistic from this past seasons writing.
Glimmers self loathing is even better (in my Opinion) than luna's because of the fact that her motivations were shit. Believe it or not a lot of people including myself have developed bad ideologies/ made bad decisions such as glimmers over relatively trivial experiences and loathe themselves for it. This personally is why I find her character so relatable/ likable.
