Let's establish two things.

1) Watching the show for the references is completely retarded, there's a lot more to enjoy about it than that, and the references are so fleeting that if they're the main reason you like the show, you'll be miserable like 70+% of the time you spend watching it.

2) The references are usually a good bit of harmless fun, and they're never very intrusive, so getting butthurt over the fact that they're in the show and claiming that they're the worst part of it is even more retarded than championing as the show's best aspect.
