What's the point of this thread? The last thread looks like nothing but banter at shitposting. And CYOAs seem to be self-contained, so why have a CYOA thread without a CYOA?

Another day, you'll be fighting (or running away from) angry yaks who kidnapped your loved one, because they mistook her for that one artist who painted "La Libertad", a poignant painting depicting the friendship between yaks and ponies - which caused the young yak Prince to be offended. "Friendship is for weak! Yaks stronk".
Of course, you"ll interact with the local population: participate in Rainbow Dash's yearly prank contest, become a model / mannequin for Rarity, find the lost mail around in Ponyville, find a job to pay the bills...
And at the end of each of these little quests, you'd receive a nice trinket to hang on the walls, put on the shelf, or even a house extension (funded by the Wonderbolts after they accidentally destroy your chimney and about an entire wall). Maybe some of those trinkets would even contain the Magic of Friendship (TM) that will, when shared with all the friends you'll have made along the way, help you defeat the greater evil that will show up during the grand finale..!

I've had that idea for a while and I believe I pitched it already, but I never found the time nor the energy to run it.

It's been about a year or so now since Fins had started his first CYOA and he's been going ever since. I love your silly pones, stories, and your worldbuilding. The Nine Lands feels so huge and alive that I feel that you could make several spinoff CYOA's, but that's kinda the idea isn't it? You can be pretty spot on when you're trying to go for a feel similar to the show too and that's always fun. I also love your schedule that seems like it was tailored just for me and being so dependable that you always let us know ahead of time if you're going to be late or not running that day. You even go out of your way to oblige the occasional draw requests that anons ask for. You've given me plenty of laughs and feels the past year and I wanted to give a little something back in some way for you giving us so much of your free time for our entertainment. You probably have one of the best fantasy based quests on here. Hopefully your current one is going to be just as good.

I really can't stress how much I appreciate that. I already made up my mind to continue running CYOAs for as long as I could keep going, but it's always nice when someone goes out of their way to do something like this. I really appreciate any fanart and words, good or bad, being noticed is what makes the journey worth it.

I'll have better and worse stories along the way, I might or might not improve in terms of writing, art, schedule and such, but as long as we're having a good time together, I'm sure I'll keep going to bed feeling exhausted and disappointed, and waking up the next morning ready to bring a better session to the table. Even though misconceptions have been dispelled her overall personality is alright. The problem is her excess of abilities and senses that even now make her seem overpowered, unrelateable, and unlikable to me. She also has a small ass.

That being said none of the War in The North cast really grab me, especially the MC.

True. Maybe he made the side characters a bit too strong initially, but you have to remember that this is still in the early game.

Once we get into late game territory, we should have exceeded them by then.

And I might have to say you're right about the characters being a little bland. I think it's because we're all basically from the same place with the same training and intentions. In the previous quest we grabbed characters that were more diverse cultural, ability, and skill wise.

Well I did actually have his body not as long in the initial sketch, but i made him a bit longer cause I thought it looked weird to have his barrel that squished.

I haven't seen any of the other characters besides Whispen,(well I think I have technically, but she's definitely the one I see the most) and now Caravan. Is there a problem with that? And of course there is the generic anon guard that you play as,(if I remember that correctly). No one really talks about the others much, which is the reason I don't know about them.

Chara developpement isn't a one post objective, but something that exists from the first post of the quest to it's last. Thus, there is nothing new to react about here. The fact that you EXPLICITELY STATED that this interaction was for the purpose or chara dev pushed even further the point that this "choice" had no value regarding the situation at hand. A "Do small talk now" prompt is generaly a weak prompt.
