Not liking the show is understandable. The stories were predominantly aimed at the age 4 to 6 range and the pacing was terrible. The simple fact is that much that the better part of the productive fandom has produced is vastly superior to anything in the show. One example is how fan versions of specific songs have greatly improved on the originals owing in some measure to the compositions being ruined by kiddie show arrangements when they were produced.
