Circle's magic system is based on the classic Greek elements, plus the addition of order and chaos. Order is also equated with enthalpy, and chaos with entropy. For example you could make ice by adding water to order, on the rationale that ice contains more enthalpy than water.

Order and chaos are also associated with refinement and reversals, respectively, so you could make ice another way by combining chaos, fire, and order. At least that's how I understand it.

Magic is cast via circle. Circles can be drawn in the dirt or tattooed on an asshole thief's tongue. Probably other places too.

Sticking with one technique can earn you a reputation, which can be both beneficial and negative. You can also use points to get an assistant; different assistants can help in different ways (for instance, playing good-cop bad-cop if you fit one of the other roles).

No, Apollo can't "speak" with computers in their own language. (which is the major reason the Apollo Project was considered a massive failure since the project's initial goal required this.) This is why he only has limited types of systems he can interface with. He also has to learn how to manipulate systems he is rigged up to which is a slow process.
