Well shit, there's goes my good day. So what's the deal? Why's Vinyl so special? You don't see this kind of thing happening to any of the other background ponies, like Lyra. Is it because we're so chill and never complain, or does someone on the writing staff have a liking for our little vixen?

I'm not sure how I feel about her recent appearances either. On one hand, more Vinyl is always better, and she does always fit the scene. But on the other, the more she shows up, the higher the likelihood of them fucking something up or even worse, we get another Derpygate. Still, either way, at least she IS showing up, which is more than she's done in the past.

Probably because Vinyl has a really unique design. She instantly stands out among the crowd.

I kind of consider the recent influx of Vinyl to be on par with Derpy's frequent appearances in Season 2. As long as it fits the story, I think they'll be fine.

Guy with the collection here. The filenames all start with "Viny"" and end with some word relating to the pic's topic because all of her images were mixed in with all other ponies. Kudos for actually making a hybrid card that follows the design rules for hybrid cards, i.e. that the card should fit as a mono colored card of either color.

Also cards that aren't enchantments or artifacts don't just "give +X/+X". It's either "until end of turn", counters, or something that is conditional on the card being present on the battlefield. That Vinyl Scratch's ability would be impossible to track.

Yeah it isn't finished yet, the rules text is just a sketch of how the card functions and makes sense only to me. I have a rules lawyer friend that looks over my stuff and helps me formulate the card effect to match the current in vogue wording as they keep fiddling with the terminology and errata.
