Galloping Steel as it had been is probably dead, unfortunately. I've been keeping open the possibility of coming back to it, but it was a lot of effort and there just wasn't enough interest to keep me, lazy sod that I am, mustering the energy to get up early enough to run it. It wasn't uncommon for me to only have two players even at peak times. Plus the game was absolutely CRAWLING along... which admittedly is mostly my own fault, but still...

However, I don't want to just abandon the Galloping Steel universe and characters, especially when some of you are still asking about it after all this time. So, similar to how Innkeeper's considering doing some more JAD stuff as greentext, I'm thinking I might do the same with Galloping Steel if you guys would enjoy that. It'd give me a lot more flexibility to write GS when my creative juices are flowing their best (which is typically when all of you guys are asleep), and I could bounce around a bit instead of having a strictly linear progression, which would allow me to tell of some of the more exciting stuff I'd had planned for GS and gloss over the "boring bits". I could, if desired, even do Q&A with the characters, similar to how an Ask blog works.

What do you guys think? Would that be something you'd like to see, or would it just not be Galloping Steel without the moment-to-moment interactivity?

The problem was that having so few players frequently stalled the game out. Granted I'm probably still being a bit hypocritical when I continually encouraged Soundtrackanon to continue his quest despite having only two players, but the decision-making in his game was much better suited to support such a limited number of players, often consisting of just a short-list of points of interest to check out like in a point-n-click adventure game. I considered trying to re-tool GS to be more like that, but I couldn't really get it to work out in my head.

I think that whatever writing style you use will be fine. You were clearly able to emulate Pink's style quite effectively, and if you would feel comfortable continuing to do that then by all means, please do so. On the other hand, I think your writing is strong enough to stand on it's own merits, and if you want to use your own voice, I would support that too.

I admit that a lot of my pictures don't have as much detail as I'd like them to at times, but another tablet would be a waste of money. Even when I had one several years ago, I still did the same things as I do with my mouse: I'd make a sketch (just a prettier one than what you see on my biannual streams), then use the curve, line, and polygon tools in paint to do the linework over it. I've never put much emphasis on lighting or filters unless they're necessary to communicate what's happening in the picture, and even if I listen to all of you guys pleading with me to get a better program, I doubt a lot will change, even once I start understanding what other features a better program would have.
