I'd consider anything that can't be undone irredeemable. There aren't many things that fall under that. Murder and causing permanent brain damage that renders someone unable to function as a person.
Forgiveness is important to redemption because redemption is entirely a matter of how you are perceived. You have to earn them both just the same.
If no one thinks you're redeemed, then either you live among people entirely unfair in their judgement, or you haven't done enough.
The issue with murder is that you have destroyed the opinion most important to your redemption.

The prompts are weak sometimes and the QM is going a bit too meta at times, but I like the mystery and the atmosphere, discovering stuff and all.

Actually I didn't notice that similitude until a few hours ago. Probably related to how I didn't read that one past... when the fire pony breaks her wing I think?
But I (Conciously, at least) drew more inspiration from a weird PS1 japanese game... the name eludes me, but in it there was something similar to the end of the world and you are in a crazy tower searching something, going deeper and deeper. Everyone is mutated, there is this angel who gives you weapons from time to time, and you have to kill monsters for consumables to replain your contantly depleeting dexterity.
Now that I think I never finished it, the controls turned me off.

Agreed, and the puzzles I through off were more of a subtle, constant gameplay variety (Too subtle maybe, we only unlocked Ponka's memories) rather than enough ones in the map itself. The second floor will have more map puzzles, at least.

+/- Artstyle is subjective for some, monsters verge on goofy, which can kill the mood, text aspect is okay at best.

Hijack is a mostly lighthearted adventure quest set in a moderately altered Equestria. The premise is simplistic, and allows for player input over the course the current MC takes while still maintaining an overall goal. The MCs are (usually) tasked with discovering and recovering items of power. Said items are mostly explained to be from other worlds, and are often references to other bodies of fiction. This metajoke of sorts presents the player the unspoken rule that Equestria shares a link with other fictional worlds they are familiar with, which allows for a certain amount of metagaming to aid in dealing with the items. This could be problematic where it a requirement of effectively dealing with them, but Hijacker has yet to punish players for not recognizing an item or threat from other works. The setting itself is generally true to canon Equestria. Most of its deviations from canon lie in the introduction of the new, such as alternative royal guard uniforms and areas not seen in-show. Canon characters are present, and well handled overall, with deviations from canon personalities generally only happening for the sake of comedy.
The CYOA has utilized both narrative and system based combat, with noncombat situations being entirely handled through narrative. The system based combat had mixed reception, generally well received at first, but with it becoming apparent over time that while players largely enjoyed seeing the characters do well in a more complex style of combat, not many were interested or willing to make suggestions during said combat. This is partly due to the structured nature of the system creating the idea of an 'ideal' path, which lead to some leaving the commends to others who had demonstrated an understanding of the system already.

Butch is okay, I guess, but not as entertaining as previous PCs. Using Steel and Tara as an example, they spent a good amount of time as supporting characters before being played as, so Hij had plenty of opportunity to show us their personalities beforehand. Butch had some of this himself, but not quite at the same level. When it came time to choose a character, I had plenty of "I wanna play as that" for Steel/Tara, but not nearly as much for Butch. Death in the Afternoon
You play as a feminine stallion getting a new job as a bartender at a bar. After a silly mix up where your boss, and a customer thinks you're female, you strike up a relationship with a griffon customer.It's an actual building relationship, not just fuck him and done.You spend your days interacting with the bar's customers and learn about them and their problems. It also includes a switching mechanic that allows you to play other employees of the bar, which is currently 1 pony.
It's an image quest with nice art, which is an immediate plus, and the relationship with the griffon is fun to pursue. But that's all that holds up the entire quest. The characters are bland, so the conversations with them come off as random Skyrim NPCs. What options do I have to press to get the backstory I'm not really all that interested in? The setting is virtually non-existent. Little to no detail is given to the the areas, even after having been in the bar almost the entirety of the quest I still have no idea how it looks or how it's laid out. There's a town with shops nearby, but aside from the lightning being dim, that's as far as it's been described, even after having been there. The QM also has a problem with directing player-controlled characters based on motivations the players know nothing about.
25k words in and the quest is still as described in the first paragraph, which was established a few posts in. There's nothing to accomplish, no goals to achieve, the setting is barely there. You talk to patrons, learn their backstory tidbit, and do nothing with it. Or flirt with the griffon and watch as their relationship changes.
Overall wouldn't recommend. The QM seems like he might be changing it up slightly in the last few posts, but we'll have to see how that plays out.

Good: The MC. I know it can be subjective, but I really like Sharpie. That quirky aspect of her is great and fun to play.
Tally is fantastic too. She's a great side character to have, and I love the balance between Twitch's work life and Sharpie's home life with her friends.
The jobs are fun as well, for the most part. It's always exciting doing illegal stuff. Playing on that mare's mistrust of the government was really fun.
+/-: It started off strong, but the quest can often get meandering with the pacing, as was the case with Heat. I feel we spend far too long doing certain things before doing the next. Namely the cop interrogations over the last few weeks and the maid job. After 130,000 words and 4 months in, we're not even 1/7 of the way done with paying our debt.
The QM has a plan for fixing this, which is nice.
Bad: Sexuality arguments. They're gone, thank God, and I hope they don't come back.

+/-: I really don't enjoy playing as Thorax, and I really don't enjoy the investigation part of it either. It's a shame cause that's the whole idea behind the quest. I know some do, and it's not bad, I just can't be asked to give a shit about it.

Spicy Quest
You're a stallion with an unhealthy obsession with spices that has been roped into helping save your town by stopping a hoard of invading demons. Somehow. Your companions are a big pegasus mare that's convinced you've got her pregnant, a weed smoking earth pony, and an injured griffon.
Each party member is distinct, silly, and fun. Their interactions are enjoyable and everything retains a comedic element. Which is an interesting set up against a setting that is serious and has serious consequences. Injuries can happen and are dealt with, the town will be overrun if the main party fails. I expect there might be a conflict eventually between the comedic characters and the setting, but that hasn't happened yet.
The images are mainly supplemental to the text, and the text is fine for the most part. You can always tell what's happening, who's saying what, and there's not a ton of grammar errors. The image quality varies randomly throughout the quest, but even when it's low quality it communicates what it's supposed to. Either the scene is communicated humorously or the setting is detailed.
The quest seems stuck in a rut recently, but it seems likely that it will pull out soon.
Overall, would recommend. It's an adventure that doesn't let it take itself too seriously.

Good: I really enjoy most of inept's characters. Threshold was a great action quest with interesting monsters for the most part, a surprisingly neat gimmick, and fun setting.

FiT: I'm not really sure how to feel with this one. It doesn't really work great as a quest, and I find it hard to get invested in the story itself.
Bad: Over-reliance on MS Paint. I know she's accustomed to using it, but she's using it as an excuse for not improving. Good: All characters are great. Everyone you come across feels there's more to them and it helps bring it all to life. Pleeny's learned well from Archipelago and knows how to keep the pace from stalling out. The MC is a lovable ball of energy that's very fun to play. Currently at the end of the most interesting and satisfying mystery I've ever seen in a cyoa, complete with twists and all.
Bad: There's alot of misspelling compared to most cyoa's. Environment descriptions seem below average to me.

I used to use paint and you can 'kinda' do layering.
You can do an option that lets you erase only one colour from the canvas so if you use some bright colour for a sketch layer you can draw the finished art on top of it then erase the brightly coloured sketch layer from behind.

Good: Best use of narrative fight I've seen so far, characters are colourful, even the ones you see only once. The sense of goal and reward is smartly used and paced to get the ball rolling without being overwhelming.
+/-: The MCs internal struggle and it's interactions with the other characters. Downtime is nice to pace the action and egt some rest, but it's much more average than the rest of the quest.
Bad: the nature of the system, even if invisible, is holding the action down according to me. Attempting incredibly reckless stunts or trying to "power up" under dramaticall circumstances is discouraged despite being the heart of capeshit action (again, according to me). The players even stopped trying doing anything cheesy with the exception of puns, and always prefer safety and reliabilty over everything else.

the most prominent of which is the fact that I can't decide what to do with it and the quest has been sufffering ever since.
A lack of direction is very dangerous to a quest
Almost as dangerous as not picking apart feedback and determining if its actually valid.
Maybe the quest was strong because it didnt have super deep and gripping story.
Maybe it was good because it was all good fun, stupid, clever, and quick.
Maybe it was good because I was doing something simple and contained, instead of changing shit up arbitrarily
Maybe it was good because I didn't try to dip into every pot under the sun for no fucking reason.
Maybe it was good because I wanted it to be like the show: Just plain good in its own way.
I really wish I had the foresight to understand that there are some problems with every quest that cant be quelled.
Someone who hates systems will never like my combat, and I should have had the insight to understand that doesn't mean it was a problem. If anything, I should have seen it as a sign that I had a neat little niche to settle into.
And most importantly?I should have rewatched Suited for Success.

Stuck in the Middle With You
You are a moth stallion, which means you're gay and feminine, that gets hired at a clothing shop. Your new boss is a private investigator and ropes you and your new co-worker into that job as well for some reason. The focus of the quest tries to be on the investigation, but in reality it's on the budding relationship with your co-worker.
The writing style isn't really coherent enough to support a detail-oriented focus. The MC often goes off in a one direction and has to be reigned back in by the players to go where they want to go. The posts will only be tentatively connected to each other (Thimble will be crying for some reason in one post and then stop immediately next post), and description is often very lacking. Everything progresses too fast as if the QM is in a rush to get everything out.
This leads to the focus being on the relationship, which doesn't require a detailed description. The progression of the relationship was too fast, but bear-able. The investigation does serve a role however. It's something to do, a goal to accomplish while the players focus on the relationship. It's an avenue for detailing the town, world, and other characters more without getting in the way. In effect, it's what Death in the Afternoon needs.
Would recommend if you want to read about a gay moth and a gay bat doing things together. Wouldn't recommend as an investigative mystery.
