Very few things in the show have been shown to be downright evil. Sure there are the major antagonists (two of which have turned around to be good-ish) and even some of the one off antagonists haven't been mustache twirlingly bad.

Cool, okay. So here's what I thought up so far. Lin's father was a monster hunter back in the day, but quit after meeting Greta and became a martial arts instructor. At seven years old he wanted to become a hunter after seeing his father save the town they lived in from a band of rabid monsters. But he refused since he knows the amount of commitment it takes to become one isn't worth it if you don't have a strong commitment for it. Lin kept pestering his father until he finally caved when he saw that he was really driven about this. Lin was supposed to go off and train officially with the minotaurs, but Greta wasn't having any of that, so his father taught him martial arts and became his instructor until he was old enough to train abroad.
Lin is the oldest out of the four satyr monster hunters at seventeen years old. Out of the four, he's the one that's had the most training (formal or informal), with ten years of experience under his belt (Simmer & Broil have five, Gumdrop has seven. His gauntlets and boots are lined with have silver plating for hunting purposes, which is why he could go toe-to-toe with monsters with his fists.
He's a funny guy and likes to play pranks a lot. But he could get a bit full of himself and gets aggressive when things don't go his way. His casual clothes consists of an aviator jacket, a dark green scarf like his mother, and an Oppai t-shirt.
As for his family, I'm thinking of making a little sister named Jade, around 12-13 years old.
Is that enough? Any thoughts or suggestions?

The issue with seeing a character once is that we have no character for them - they are a blank slate, and basically just an OC.
That's not a real issue, and you're right, we do have a ton of satyrs like that. But if you look at the ones that the thread tends to focus on... M6, royalty, and Hope.
Having a full character for the pony parent means that the satyr can be more consistent. We know nothing about Greta, and have no reason to care about Greta. So probably won't remember anything about her between your posts.

In regards to the drinking/anger problem...
Why the hell do you need a flaw?
I know that all characters are supposed to have them, but you can have it arise organically, rather than shoehorn something in. Even here, you say "I didn't want to resort to drinking". Which means the flaw is a add-on to his character.
One that pops to mind as a potential flaw is having Lin be a massive dick financially wise. He borrowed money to finance his hunting, and then paid it back. He can't see why poor people are still poor, it only takes some effort! He's really elitist, and with good reason, because he honestly is one of the best around in the business.

One picture that could well be an angel. No story. I don't want to put you down, but that won't grab the thread's attention. You need to have more than that if you want anyone else to care about this creature once you've created it speaking from experience here. Both mine and others'.

And I understand that Anon always being a White Western Cis Het Male isn't always true. Anon being a Chinese Martial Art expert, and not following local naming conventions like most satyrs do is a bit out there, but we've had worse. However, again, it isn't memorable. I like the part that explain his take in finances. He would probably be the type of guy that thinks an inspirational quote and a thumbs up is a great tip; he doesn't do it out of spite though, he generally believes that anything is possible with enough hard work. We have actual OC satyrs though, it's not really that much of a problem. How is Lin not memorable in this case, it's the only satyr name that's Chinese. It takes time to make content, this is just getting the concept out to test the waters. Before /d/non came along Dagger only had one piece of art and one story. It's more along the lines of if the charcter catches someone's eye enough. Admittedly, his concept focused on balancing the assumed monster hunting capabilities of the Fizzle twins. He's that good because he's had a lot of experience and trained with professional monster hunters. Plus, his design was inspired by feedback for Anons when asked whether I should make the next hunter a male or a female (loli). People said that they wanted someone masculine, so I went with a Jackie Chan/Bruce Lee mix that beats monsters with his fists. But if it's a big enough problem, I can always just age him down and make him inexperienced compared to the rest of the group, or just transfer his concept to his younger sister Jade.
