Don't worry about any changes you've made. I've jotted them down in the canon story.

Feel free to make up some new areas and stuff in Papoville cause I've got the feeling you might feel a bit restricted due to much not getting done during the run + no clue where things may head in the future.

The only major things you might want to keep in mind are The mane 6 are in a status similar to the captured star spirits in paper Mario. Meaning we won't see them for a long while. Everyone else is fine though (minus the princesses, I've got future plans involving them.
in the case the train does get fixed, be wary not to venture too far. Otherwise you could get lost and never find your way back.

I don't know if I would blame that, I think he still gave plenty of opportunities for things to go either way. It just seems like there's a very strong pro-sex contingent of players who don't really care about anything else but lewd. Some of the lewd inputs were so crude I actually wasn't sure if the quest was being raided but it's the middle of the night so it seems unlikely. Lewd or comfy preferences aside, sex seems like a really bad decision for our character right now.

I think it's a problem of having the character's orientation laid out on the table from the getgo; since it's (usually) one of the few actual characteristics they have since there hasn't been a story to flesh them out yet, it gets a lot more focus than it might if it were revealed later on down the line after more interesting traits have been established.

Granted when you don't mention it you run the risk of eternal waffling and harem building because even without it someone is going to waifu everyone with more dimensions than a piece of cardboard, because the average anon is a very sexually driven individual.

So basically we're all fucked, no matter how much the CYOA MC is or isn't.

Fuck. I love Unique, by far it was my favorite quest, and I was getting really frustrated with Sloth for not trying to fix it after the shit storm.

Reading this is very disappointing, but also somewhat soothing. I sympathise with Sloth, and I'm not upset at him, but the whole situation is just sad as fuck. If a QM has lost motivation then I do think it's best to not run, though I also think that the QM should at least attempt to give some sort of ending at that point. I'm sad that Chalk will never get that.

Entertaining the idea of hijacking Unique is interesting, but I simply don't feel like I could do it justice.

Sloth, I don't know if you're even lurking here anymore. If you are, though, know that we understand. We're not pissed with you. Disappointed, yes, but not at you - we're sharing in the sadness that something you were clearly pouring yourself into is no longer fun or even pleasant to push further. And at least one person here understands what you ran into - and can say, don't blame yourself too much. Mistakes were made, but don't tear yourself up over it - QMing is fucking hard.

I genuinely don't understand why Sloth had such an issue. I mean the hammer dropped when he tried to fix a bunch of things that the players knew nothing about in a way that completely excluded the players from acting. Unique was about secrecy, hidden information, and a world that refused to explain its mechanics from the word go. The players don't and never knew anything for certain. If you can't fix your headcanon wipe it all out, get reacquainted with everything you said for certain in the quest and create something else. Every quest's lore is just a bunch of building blocks, even if you fuck up and knock them all down you can still put them back together in a different way that works.

What threw me for a loop in that last thread was the implication that the streets had ponies in them that weren't trying to fight us. It was implied that it was a normal thing, so all the streets I previously thought were barren apparently had ponies on them.
