There was no reason for 3 alternate futures (and a couple rushed ones). They could have done 2, and instead focused more on the actual story, which was the interaction between Starlight and Twilight (you know, which had been foreshadowed for the entire season). The conversation between Twilight and Starlight was the extent of the plot, the all the rest was just a diversion.
The resolution was rushed, when it didn't have to be. The plot was paper thin. And Starlights traumatic backstory was laughable

When someone thinks of an invention they need money to buy the materials they need to make that invention a reality. If they don't have that money they borrow it from people they know and return a percentage of the profits to the people they borrowed it from. That's capitalism.
