Really powerful and emotional ending, lots of continuity without it being too overbearing, Spike isn't shit, Minuette is adorable, Moondancer was great.

As far as Siege of the Crystal Empire goes, it started off really rocky but it's finally coming around, I think. The umbrum look really damn cool, and I'm hoping that with all of these revelations about how Sombra and the umbrum have been using her, Radiant Hope will have some kind of epiphany and turn on Sombra, and have some moral about recognizing toxic and dangerous relationships.

I think it's mostly because whether we're Twilight or Moondancer, we've been in this conflict before, so it hits home one way or another.
Maybe you're the person that was shy, the one who needed help and encouragement to put yourself out to the world. And then the one person you trusted the most let you down. They essentially said you're not good enough, you never can or will be.
And then, like Moondancer, you retreat back into the world you've made for yourself, because you can't bear to feel the unforgiving sting of that kind of rejection again. You bury the memory far into the back of your mind and do whatever it takes to stay away from others or things that remind you of what happened. Because the last thing you want to do is think about what happened and feel that pain all over again.
Oh, but the memory comes back, of course. Its giant horn and flappy princess wings shove themselves into your face with awkward apologies and cheap parties and dinners to cheer you up, because they don't really care about your feelings, but just want the pain off their OWN consciousness. They can never know or feel the extent of the pain they caused you. Moondancer's breakdown was probably the most emotionally charged moment in the whole show, for damn good reason.
Or hey, maybe you're on the other side, where you've done something that seemed so small and insignificant at the time, but later it turned out you really hurt somebody in the process. For all the good you try to do in the world, you're sometimes blind to the shadow you cast. And no matter what you do, no matter what you say, they can't find it in themselves to forgive you, and you're stuck not knowing what to do or how to feel.

My suspicion is that Starlight isn't actually time traveling, but rather she locks Twilight away into some strange suspension of animation where Twilight is being forced to watch Startlight meddle with the past and ruin the world.
