I had a feeling it would be okay but thought the doctors and video games theme would be messy as fuck.

It turned out really good and the video game doctors thing worked out surprisingly well. As shows that heavily reference video games go it handled it really well, it wasn't too reliant on references but it was pretty consistent on giving little things to make that aspect feel relevant.

How much did anybody fight for anything in Gaim? I can tell you now, the only real answers are Ryoma and Kaito. Kaito suppressed the infection and was able to become an Overlord out of sheer will, Ryoma masterminded literally everything.

Everyone else got their powers given to them by their superiors, be it Ryoma/Yggdrasill, Sidd or Sagara.

I also feel like Ex-Aid might also have been one of the funniest Rider shows in general, despite it's overall serious tone.
