Through ups and downs somehow this franchise has managed to hang on to this very day.

Ultras and kaiju would crossover, but I can't recall seeing anything that set these series on the same Earth. Whether by accident or design, Tsuburaya was always very loose with continuity. I've seen some fans who says that the merged Mebius timeline is itself a distinct universe. Personally, I don't think about it much. I like to think that each Ultra is distinct and unique, and any cross pollination is the same character that travels across time and universes.

I thought it was cute. More interesting than Kemono Friends for sure. But I believe the show failed to get the attention they wanted it to get.

I think a big mistake that Tsuburaya made with Kaiju Girls is that every other figure or depiction of a given Kaiju seems to be an entirely different girl/character, while most popular '_____ as girls' keep the same characters for everything, so people can get attached to them as mascots.

For example, this version of Eleking was introduced when Tsuburaya was first experimenting with the idea. I remember the statue sold out and even inspired some cosplays, so you think they would want to follow the success of this character right? Instead you have a totally different girl representing Eleking in the cartoon.

Looking at these, I have to wonder why they chose the capsule trio as the main girls... I know they are the designated 'good' kaiju and are associated with an Ultra, but they don't seem as popular as a lot of the other kaiju they made girls of.

That's because they're from a different series. Tsuburaya make 2 kaiju girl manga and figure series, the Pop comic version and the Galaxy Days version. The anime is based of the Galaxy Days version.

I kind of hope Geed gets a form all his own, like Orb did. All of his forms so far have been fusions.

I do like that Orb continues to use Spacium Zeperion despite having Origin. While Origin is his original/true form, all it really has going for it is the big elemental sword. Without that, it doesn't really do anything special and is a pretty vanilla form.
