L pretty much removes all the conflict from Destiny entirely. Some like it, but in my opinion it kind of removes the heart of the story.

Honestly the AG reuse isn't the issue. It's the blatant reuse from Alpha 1 for a fuckload of units juxtaposed with the new-to-Impact animation looking really good for early PS2 era stuff that makes the issue. Special shoutout to the Char Zaku, which has a new attack that has blatantly more animation than all of the other things on its movelist put together.


Impact has a number of issues but it's overall still nowhere near the worst game. That said, playing on console is going to mean a lot of time spent saving, so watch that.

Pretty normal for end-of-month events. They're typically the ones aimed at getting skittles fans to send money in.

That said, concern yourself less with that and more with the 3 blue tickets you get each time you do the three special stages, which give lots of Rs and have decent SSR rates.

For now. They get better the more you use them in an event.

As a fun aside, the first of this type of event didn't have UCs in that, so it was not only possible to literally go infinite, everyone did it. (It costed 45, AP Restores would get you 4 plays thusly. 4 stage plays got you 12 tickets, which you turned in, and if it got you more than 6 Rs - or 3 Rs and an SR - it'd mean you could sell those for green tickets, that you could then instantly turn into AP Restores, and then continue on. Was broken as fuck.). That's why it can give UCs but not Cs.

There's not a whole lot of strategy to these games is there?

Pretty much, some other modern games have additional gimmicks like squads, shields and so on, but the basics are still those you mentioned, Wonkysoft titles just take those to the extreme.

At what point does a show have enough mechanical elements to be considered for SRW?

So, I'm finishing my second Z2.Z run thus completing my Z2 experience.

Didn't play Z, since I don't own PS2 and PS2-emulators don't work for me, but I've read that big Z walkthrough. It seemed so much more interesting than Z2.

Is there any reason why Z2 was such a mediocre game? I mean it had its moments, but for such big and varied roster it seems like a total waste. Very few actually interesting stages.
I was especially disappointed with lack of interesting in-battle quotes. Re-using Wing lines from Alpha and almost complete lack of interactions between different series is one thing, but many series (like Code Geass) didn't even have that many in-series interactions (I don't think any Geass bosses had anything to say to anyone besides Zero). It's a fucking Code Geass, not Orguss or God Sigma! Zero is fucking the leader of the whole group!
That's just plain bullshit.

P.S. Is there any real differences between A and A Portable? Which one is better for the play and why?

My favorite parts of Evangelion are where they act like a super robot team and Shinji gets to be a shining star.
