The whole thing with Mugen was showing the emotions and memories they felt about Takeru, it could've been done way better but that's probably what they were going for.

This is both correct and wrong. While this was concept that was apart of Mugen's motif, Ghost was about death. There were subtle and not-so-subtle nods to death at every given moment, and the polarization of living life to create and to cherish those emotion-filled memories. However, Drive's Chase does this arguably better, and Ex-Aid dabbles with the concept of life and death better.

So Emu refers to charaters by their names.
Hiro refers to characters through titles like "intern" or "unlicensed sham."
Taiga refers to characters by their Rider names.
And Masamune refers to characters by their game titles.

Am I missing anything?

Sorry, but I love it. It means they put thought into the entire overarching story and that every plot point means something and when you get to the ending, everything fits together and gives you this amazing feeling.

Too many authors just wing it like little shits and then hand wave plotholes that could have been easily fixed if they just thought about it for one second. Even when you have multiple writers, if they would just talk for one day about story ideas, they could avoid conflicting plot lines, but too many are stuck up their own ass about how good their work is, or actively sabotage other writers.

Haruto was also a great character in the show (even better in the movies tho'). The main issue with Wizard is that, even though all the characters in the show had an interesting concept, the writer(s) failed to develop them and give them actual backstories and arcs.

The ring creator was a very interesting character and a lot of people were speculating stuff about him... and yet he ended up with no backstory or arcs (except that one time he mentioned he created rings for Fueki).

Shunpei was the chuuni character in a magic-themed show. You would have expected him to pursue his dream of becoming a wizard... instead he was doing nothing but being retarded in the head for 51 episode (or was it 49?)

Besides that, the only other issue with Wizard is that they took a plot that could have been solved in 15-20 episodes and extended it to 49/51. If they focused on making arcs and sub-plots with the characters, the show would have been so much better. But I don't know who fucked so bad and the show turned like this...

But overall, I still like Wizard. It's a show that kept true to its premise of being a magic-themed show.

Ex-Aid pretty much proved it.

I like most of Rider series, including even Kiva and Wizard, but all of them had big problems, which can't be ignored, since they take quite a lot from these very shows. Even Gaim.
Ex-Aid has problems, but relatively small ones, which are easily overwhelmed by the sheer amount of great stuff.
I don't remember last time I wanted to rewatch a KR episode immediately, but I've been doing it with Ex-Aid pretty often so far. These two last episodes were exceptional.

The actual problem was that the Riders beyond them were obviously extras and generally sidelined right after their debut arcs aside from specific episodes. I still prefer that to Ryuki's formula though, where the extra Riders beyond the core 4 were all limited to specific arcs. Aside from the last 10 episodes, with the Alternatives, Tiger and soon Imperer all coexisting with the main 4, it felt like the entire battle royale premise was wasted.

It was mostly a problem with Gridon, imo, because he obviously had agency with a huge plot point (Hase's death) that dragged on and on for no good reason even though it could have been obviously handled on much earlier. Even "secondary" Riders like Minato or Ryoma still got their own fair share of screen time during Banana Edgelord and Grapeshit's shenanigans.

Mars in general was a big waste though. They hyped him up as a god, and yet he had trouble with Gaim form switching and was beaten down badly by Gaim as soon as he used Kachidoki and Kiwami. And then he returns in a -weakened- form for the last episode, like he wasn't weak enough before. To make it all worse he actually loses to freaking Micchy in the finale, and only escapes due to ""You can't kill this body!", only for god Gaim to appear and save the day. It's like... why would you even write the villain to be so pathetic? I'm still surprised the same person wrote Gaim's part in Full Throttle and Megahex, who actually seemed like a real God-level threat (well, before the crossover part, but that was written by Sanjo).

About Ghost, I liked the series more than I was expecting, of course there are several problems, such as the search for the Eyecons that was initially very fast, the ghosts they needed to be real characters, they needed more attention, Being in the series, Makoto should have a bigger importance in the end because of the Deep Specter Ghost Eyecon. It and Agito are still my favorite seasons honestly, I know that most people here didn't like Drive until after the halfway point but I think I just prefer KR when it has that light police element in there. It's not flawless by any means but the only major issues I had with it were that for most of the show it refused to let Chase do stuff without Gou being a complete shitter or vice versa, and didn't really stop until the endgame. That and the obnixious belt jingles but every show is worse than the previous one in that regard, it's just how KR is now and I've accepted that.

Waiting on Ex-Aid to finish before even ranking it against others (a shit ending can affect my view of a show a lot personally, W's the best example of this) but so far I think it's pretty good although it'd be way better without the weakly-handled doctor angle in my opinion. 20-ish straight episodes of Hiiro constantly going

W's only movie tie-in (if that can even be called a tie-in) was Shotaro having the Lost Driver to turn into Joker, but the plot was mostly self-sufficient and executed its purpose pretty well until the last minute. Having the movie villain being shoehorned in what should have just been Micchy and Jonouchi coming to term with themselves and taking up Kouta's legacy just leaves a horrible taste to my mouth, personally.
