Wasn't really talking about sprites but rather about it being considered a hyper mode at all. Kinda like in SD gundam g generations wars, there Trans-am was a very powerful buff (although life was horrible with them and they lost it as a special mode in latter sd gundam games and become just an attack)

The 00 gundam would gain a lot more utility if they had trans-am as a hyper mode that, I dunno, boosted their mobility, movement range and maybe a +100 boost to its weapons, kinda like how the shuffle alliance usually gets +1 movement plus stat buffs to the pilots in most games.

Speaking about the Celestial being gundams, do they get EN regen large or EN regen MAX in the games they were featured? The whole main gimmick about them was that so long they didn't use Trans-am, they had pretty much infinite energy after all if I remember well how their GN drive worked

And a shame at its best it only gets medium. Random shitters like the seed gundams gets EN regen despite their special gimmick was functioning like regular MS do in other settings while the celestial being gundams are only a bit better despite the whole perpetual energy.

In R, Blue Shin Getter, Daitarn 3's Sun Attacks, Zambot's Moon Attack, Grandasher, Dendoh and Ogre's energy-dumping finishers, Fuunsaiki's finisher, and Vega on her motorcycle. There's a shit load of adjusted sprites for things like Neo-1 throwing the Plasma Thunder or Voltes drawing the Tenkuuken and things like that.

The Freedom doesn't suddenly change color when SEED activates, so there's no point in giving it a new sprite. One could arguably make a case for giving it new attack animations, but that would be an entirely separate argument.

Most of the difficulty related secrets seem to be gifts to help your shitter ass out. A lot of content I'll never see because I just can't not get all the bonus objectives each level.

That said the zendradi destroyer was a fantastic artillery unit. I loved that thing, pretty much the only hard mode bonus mech I actually appreciated.

It's worse if you're actually trying. I went Easy Mode once in Alpha Gaiden for a lark, there are stages where you have seven turns to kill six enemies and there's at least one stage where it's possible to make it so you literally can't fail the objective. Never finished that run either, so I don't even know how "bad" it gets later on in.

I don't think it has any P moves and Alpha Gaiden has no Hit And Away, unfortunately, but it is pretty strong. Tops out at 3700 and has +1000 power gain on all of its weapons except the +800 MAP, and 1-10 range. But its best weapon has 4 ammo so that might be an issue.

No Sacrifice in this game unfortunately. I think the best pilot is Milia, IIRC she has Guard? And Destroid only starts with 1200 Armor so you need that, it has shit mobility.

Main plot might be tricky but they could work around with it. Do a reverse of the typical space focus they gave the occasional games instead.

Rather than trying to get deep into our solar system and beyond, have Earth be the target. That way, you could roll things like Heroic Age, OG Dancouga, Gurren Lagann and shows with humanity being oppressed on Earth.

Most of Vandread Season 1 doesn't really have that much plot outside of the odd skirmish here and there; it's mostly rom-com antics iirc.
