The list of Bad Ends in R I remember:

~Daitarn's ending happened.
~Nadesico was going through PoD
~UC Gundam was going through CCA
~The Gaizock managed to somehow survive Zambot's ending, making all of the sacrifice pointless
~The Gundam Wing EW coup SUCCEEDED.
~Basically all of the Super Robots (Mazingers, Getters, Invincibles, Dendoh, Choudenjis, maybe the G Gundams) were forced into retirement.

Probably something else horrible too though. The big one is the EW thing - while the main character and his/her cohorts were previously going "Well we really can't change the past because that might cause serious issues" (and unintentionally changing the past in major ways along the while), it's during the EW fight where they finally give that up for good and try to start actively fixing things.

In V the system is a little different, every map you sortie with half SP (by default, there are pilot skills and ace bonuses and other things that can raise this) but you regenerate a bit every turn (like 5 by default, again this can be raised via skills and tac customize bonuses and etc)

It seems like it makes things harder at the beginning, but later on when everyone has higher max SP and you've raised the regeneration rates and have a couple spirit bots that build it faster than they can use it, it makes shit even easier than the old games

So if I'm understanding akurasu right, to get the true ending and final stages in V, you need to reach the end of the game with at least 25 ace pilots (plus one great ace), right? Did you guys get this true route on your first run, or not until NG+? If yes to the former, did you feel like you really had to go out of your way to accomplish it, or did it just happen on its own anyway? I just finished stage 35 and I think I have about 13 aces now, with quite a few of my frontliners close to ace and a few more benchwarmers that'll hit it soon from sub-orders, so I should definitely be on track to get it on this first run, it just feels tedious having to make sure my favorite units aren't hogging all the kills

Setsuna's outrageously strong for a Gundam in V. He gets two pilots, much stronger attacks than any other Gundam, and unlike, say, Crossbone X-1, he's a melee unit that actually has a decent movement rate.

Thinking it over again, maybe the voice actor bringing back shenanigans for Sentai in future SRWs can still be solved.
Just pick the show which is going on, or the old show with some form of special/V-Cinema coming out (in this year's case, Kyuranger and Dekaranger), and gather the cast to do the voice acting occasionally while the filming session was still going on (which is more than an year for the on-going series).
But the problem is that the series Bamco can choose are very limited, and it will be very predictable which Sentai will be appearing. Another thing is that the on-going shows mostly appeal to kiddies, while SRW focuses on an much older demographic and needs old Sentai series (in which gathering the cast will be a problem itself)

X-O only needs "punch" and "do something remotely special" to make a unit playable, and sometimes they skip the second of those. This is especially notable because - and this is the big thing - they've been fucking nuts in the last few months hinting at playable Wawna.

But instead we get Betreida and it's weird. Not like Betreida specifically is weird, Kanoko's the most likely to join you before the end for the most part and is also one of the more popular characters of the show (because she's Best Girl) - it's just that when X-O releases units, usually it's at the point in the plot when they should be showing up, or it's things they've been pointing towards for a while. Probably Aquarion, wouldn't even surprise me if that thing grew time travel out of its ass. Some of the Star Driver mechs have control over aspects of time and one of them can probably do some minor shit in Fifth Phase, but we don't see enough evidence to support that (And IIRC Yoddock isn't in X-O yet technically). Maybe something from E7, dunno, not really big on that series? The God Sigma villains time traveled. FMP involved some time travel with the Whispered.

...maybe Goshogun too? I dunno. It can do lots of teleporting stuff at the very least, and Beamler is pretty powerful. Has someone here seen that? And Rom and crew travel to other universes at the end of their show going into the OVAs, so I guess they could probably time travel by leaving and entering at a different point in time.

Technically five.

When you link with a Cybody properly, you get the same Phase the mech's on. In normal operation that's the First Phase - so Takuto got Tauburn's First Phase when he learned the value of life and got the mark passed down, Wako got it saving Sugata's life, that sort of thing. But each time a Maiden Cybody gets its seal broken, that goes up a phase, up to the Fifth Phase, at which point you can materialize your nuke-proof god robot wherever the fuck you feel like (because Zero Time is broken) and do all sorts of ridiculous shit on top of whatever your normal phase abilities were - we see very little of this unfortunately, but what we do see included Takuto outflying fucking military jets OUTSIDE OF HIS ROBOT. It's also possible to go a phase below your robot if you lack the mark through some technological stuff the Glittering Crux created.

The weird exception is Kanoko, who apparently either used Betreida's abilities at some point well before she had the mark when none of the abilities were open to that sort of thing, or lost Betreida's mark at some point, because she used it on that one girl's mother well before the series despite not having the mark until the final episode.

I don't know much about SRW damage formulas, I'm guessing the reason this thing hits like a fucking freight train even before upgrades is because as a mobile armor it has a larger size class and that gives it battleship damage scaling or something along those lines, right? Threw this thing straight into battle with an underlevelled Ple Two as pilot and it's hitting for like 9000 damage already, I can't wait to see how scary it gets when I full custom it

Well, Nier's western version did have Papa Nier instead of Brother Nier.
There's also a few games who have dad protagonists, Romancing SaGa 2 for instance starts with Leon as the first protagonist, then goes on to his son's generation, Dragon Quest V did the same.
Point is games are usually meant for a younger audience, putting dad MCs is not common for that reason, young people aren't really interested in dad stories.
