Well if you buy them you're helping out with more releases being sold in the west past Carranger, but the quality itself is kinda middling. Zyuranger has yellow subs with bad fonts while the others drop it for normal white subs with a slightly better font while also the translations are kinda all over the place. Sometimes they translate words like "gattai" and sometimes they don't.

Zyuranger wasn't translated by Shout and it's better quality as a result. Toei did it with the intent to air it on the ToeiJapan Channel they did that failed miserably.

Shout was able to release Zyuranger because it was low investment for Toei, Saban, and Shout.

Seasons afterwards however meant Shout had to translate and after Zyuranger's subs, which are alright past some poor QCing and rotating terms, the wonderful fans at Rangerboard sent them to TV-N to see what Toku fans expect from subs...

Dairanger and Kakuranger took a hit from this and more reasonable fans complained about it.

For Ohranger they just used MFC's fansubs.

Finished the Go-Busters vs Go-Busters V Cinema. Its a basically a writers "screw you" movie. Its basically a what if Go-Busters followed the clichés movie. Its amazing on how it indulges in it while still following the writers personal formula. It even has Führer.

I think it's a little early to be saying whether characters will or won't be relevant to the plot overall. I'm guessing Stinger/Orange is going to be a big player this season too, and I think Naga and Balance may too, plus we'll see how relevant Shou Rompo ends up after he becomes RyuuPurple. But again, that's equally baseless speculation.

I can agree that the show is overly red-focused in general, though. Zyuohger was better about that than recent years.
