For what it's worth, they've been showing that Laevateinn a lot and a novel-only bad guy showed up in PV2, so they might be going into the novel plot real fast.

What's a typical mecha cliche that you like, /srwg/? Standing unfazed amidst the smoke of a recent enemy attack? Eyes lighting up in the darkness? Obari poses? Giant lasers? Missiles aplenty?

Personally, I'm a fan of post-attack steam releasing in mecha. G Generation Genesis does that with certain attacks from the Psyco Gundam Mk III and the MP Big Zam, and I know Godannar does it, though I can't think of many other mecha that do that sort of thing.

That's unlikely for the same reason we didn't get Exia R2 in Saisei.

SRW almost never does late series downgrades that would tempoarily replace a pilots usual unit. Why bother when most players will just swap them back to their usual machine ASAP.

I know we got Crossbow, which was very unusual, but that's for a lead character.

Unless the Shadow is actually better than the M9 and they make it an outright upgrade replacement they'll just stick with the M9.

The shadow was literally made for sniping, the M9 only had slight mods. It would definitely be an upgrade, but the problem is that the unit is only shown using a single weapon (though, they could just toss in standard Shadow armament like they do to the M9's).

They didn't allow custom bgm on the PS4 due to the music service they wanted to push. The only workaround some games got was being able to plug in a usb, leave the music player running, then playing the game. It didn't allow you to replace bgm.

It's like some people have mentioned, going for a PS4 is a bit beyond me at this point, and if it's a case of "buying one system to play one specific game," this is the cheaper option right now.

I can only think of maybe one other game the PS4 has besides SRW games that I'd be interested in right now, the KH 2.8, while KH III looms forever in the unseen future. I can't think of anything else that appeals at the moment, so this is the best alternative.

Now, if I had a TV that could use the HDMI plugging way the PS TV uses, that would have saved a lot of cash, but there you go.

In addition, while Kakuseijin/Tyran are amazing in the lategame, you will also find that one of the other new units is a lategame join that's fucking ridiculous - Acrobunch has 6 pilots with good SP pools and not-insignificant power. Bilbine and Dunbine can combine into a potential 4 pilot unit, so abuse that. It has no Melee attacks unfortunately.

It helps to know who is who when said show is in a crossover game like SRW. If you go in not knowing the shows AND not understanding the dialogue the game is just a set of maps where you wipe out enemy units with no context.
Playing SRW for either gameplay or story alone isn't worth it since it's not all that great. When combined though it's enough to get you hooked to do one more mission to see what happens next or what new unit you get.

Vesperia is still the best game in the series. Graces F is heavily flawed as a lot of people hate the characters. Xillia is ok but feels rushed, Xillia 2 is better but feels like an expansion pack. Zestiria is considered one of the worst games in the series, beaten only by Tempest. Berseria is seen by a lot as a return to form.

Primarily because it had extremely good interaction between the characters, it's very well-paced in its storytelling, and it was the first time in the series that you could go full DMC on enemies because of how combos worked. It reminds me of a conversation between Jack Kerouac and Allen Ginsberg way back in the day about editing. It is certainly not. The P3 movies bombed, and there's way more P4 extra stuff and almost all the spinoffs but one are heavily 4 focused except for Q which is evenly split.
