Bringing in another monster for Shin to fight could be a great idea, especially if they still keep the tone of the first, where Shin isn't fighting in a manner to protect Japan, but just because theres another creature in his line of sight. Well the thing is, the world of Shin Godzilla is a lot more grounded. The first movie was great because it establishes a world where this shit has never happened and the governments of the world are rushing to try and figure out a solution. For a sequel, you have only two routes
1. Keep it only to Godzilla, and set it in a world that has worked desperately to develop anti-Godzilla measures, since this is more grounded, it's unlikely they would throw in Moguera or Mecha Godzilla, so it would be more military weaponry to fight back. In this setting the governments would be more quick to react, would have better countermeasures, and unlikely to panic, and Godzilla would have to get even bigger and more destructive to create a credible threat. With this, it loses the charm of the first movie, because it's no longer about an unprepared government rushing to deal with a completely alien entity, it's a prepared and wizened government just trying to keep up with a dangerous threat.
and 2. Introduce a new element of danger, a second monster. By the time a sequel takes place, as I said in the previous part, Japan and the world in general, would be ready to fight Godzilla when he thaws, they would have weapons specifically designed to hurt and stop Godzilla, and most likely contingency plans in case Godzilla evolves more. What they would not be prepared for is a completely new threat showing up on par with Godzilla. It would bring back that same entertainment factor as the first one with a brand new twist; the government knows how to deal with Godzilla, and is prepared, but now they have to deal with Godzilla, and something completely brand new thats doing the same shit, desperation and panic would set in as destruction reins even faster and wider spread.

So if you take those routes into consideration, if they did stick to a single monster sequel, then it's likely it would not come close to the same entertainment value as the first.

It's an RPG, not a management game. It's likely based on Dark Half, where you swap between playing the villain and the hero, and they have different mechanics. Hell, Taddle Fantasy is clearly very focused on magic usage rather than straight fighting, and even has minion based summons, and the villain in Dark Half's gameplay is completely magic based and using monster allies to fight alongside you.

Rewatching Chou Super Hero Taisen's full trailer, I'm really starting to fear this will be a Kaneda movie - notably, no one uses any special attacks at all in the footage that has been shown. I think you're being a bit narrow-minded. There's plenty you could do with a sequel and still have Godzilla as the main threat.

For instance, focusing on the idea of the tenuous victory the Japan government is enjoying in the wake of Godzilla's hibernation, how much clout they've built up despite basically getting lucky, and the paranoia and growing hysteria that threatens the country amidst fears of Godzilla reawakening and worse (i.e., Godzilla's "spawn"). There's plenty of room for a story on par with the first installment.

Well sure, but again, it wouldn't be nearly as entertaining. Because in that kind of plot, to bring about that sort of tension, you'd have to fill the majority of the movie with politics, not to mention it would kind of step over the ending where the governments of the world work together to stop Godzilla, and give hope to the future despite the threat, so having them devolve right back into hysteria would be kind of pointless, especially if you're suggesting it's set so close behind the first that Japan hasn't developed countermeasures. So there would be very little screen time to cover Godzilla's revival, and any possible danger he presents would fall flat because of lack of time, and having to stop Godzilla by the end of the movie, so it would end with them beating Godzilla without accommodating that threat he was built up to be.

Concerning Rider final forms, whats your preference? A form that is an extension of the Rider himself, or an extension of their gear? (Like how Agito's forms are his evolution, where as Kabuto is just getting new gear, or Den-O's final form is due to Ryotaro gaining the strength to fight himself, where as Fourze is just a combo of all his Switches) And do you prefer the Rider flawlessly controlling the form when it first appears, struggling to master it each time he uses it. How about a final form that effects the Rider's self, compared to just a regular suit that he can take on and off without consequence?
