I watch all my anime alone and I don't go to anywhere to discuss it because every anime community online is trash, but I've been seeing it everywhere recently (mentioned on nicolive and /jp/).
I'm watching it and aside from the terrible CG I don't see why anyone would talk about it or even watch it - I very nearly dropped it if not continuing just to find out what happened (the setting).
Like the OP is selling really well too, on iTunes at least, so maybe there's something to it that I'm not aware of?

Did you at least make it to episode 4? That was when the popularity exploded in Japan.

Anyway, you've got a show with cute girls, some sense of adventure and also mystery with the setting, while also featuring episodic encounters that introduce new girls with new personalities every episode. For example, tons of fanart of the new episode have been for a character that only appeared for 2 minutes, rather than lion or moose girls that had more screentime.

And so far it's doing a better job of tying the episodic stuff and character development together than some other shows that tried the same (like the current Little Witch Academia tv series).

The animation is 3d and very low budget, but 3d isn't really seen as a negative in Japan, unlike in the west. And as far as the budget goes, it only really had stupid stuff like characters walking on top of bushes or talking without moving their mouths in episode 1. Afterwards, although it's obviously still low budget, the only problem really is some clipping.

Was any chances for the 20th Hesei Rider to NOT be an anniversary Rider? With Decade's popularity and his premise as an anniversary Rider representing (primarily) 10 years of Kamen Rider being easy to reproduce, it seems like a no brainer to do it again every 10 years. Instead this time the 2nd decade Rider onward will have complete seasons.

With Foundation X back, it could theorized tgat the next decade Rider will be based on Foundation X instead of Shocker. Foundation X have been the primary antagonists acting behind the scenes for almost 10 years, studying all the gimmicks this decade has introduced. Iirc, they never really explained what their ultimate goal was in studying these things. I mean, sure it's easy to conclude that they're evil people wanting to control the world. However, what they primarily want to do to achieve it has not been unveiled.

So, with all that information they gathered, they could very well make a Rider system capable of using all of them. They may have reached the conclusion that ultimately they should use all the gimmicks.

So the story for the next decade Rider could be that Foundation X makes this Rider to defeat the Riders of this world. Foundation X has a situation unique from the first decade, as their universe is singular, well-connected, and filled with Kamen Riders (sans maybe Gaim which likes to pop in an out of existence). So they have a rather strong opposing force stopping them from their plans. Though of course, like all main Kamen Rider this "NuDecade" will end up using his evil powers for good.

Should all this end up being true for the most part, it would make me quite excuted for the 20th Rider aince it would have a more contained story that doesn't revolve around universe/time hopping unlike the majority of Rider crossover stories. It would be more straight forward and down to earth.

Technically, some materials for Decade mentioned that the King Dark there didn't have a pilot inside, unlike the original.

In fact, it wasn't even supposed to be the original King Dark or an AU counterpart, but a "King Dark II/2nd generation" - a successor robot as shown on the design notes. They threw that entire concept away in order to claim that it was the actual King Dark marketing material though, in spite of Decade's version looking little like the original aside from the face.

In fact, even by Let's Go Kamen Riders, they changed the suit's shoulders, belt and added a cape when they used it to portray the original King Dark in Let's Go Kamen Riders. The suit here seems to be just carrying on from Let's Go, although its belt hasn't been visible yet.

Godai and Shouichi are lovers not fighters, so they're out.
Shiji is directly opposed to TATAKAE so he's out
Takumi just isn't much of a fighter, so he's out.
Kenzaki is a pretty decent fighter by the end of the show, but he never really shows any prowess out of suit.
Hibiki has been training all his life and is practically superhuman. He's probably the best fighter.
Tendou is pretty similar. He's been training for some years now and is an accomplished fighter. He's 3rd best.
>Ryotaro. Unless Momo is possessing him he is by and far the worst.
Wataru is almost as bad at fighting as Ryotaro
Tsukasa is also practically super human because Decade. He was able to keep up with an Orphan's strength, while untransformed. 2nd best.
Philip cant fight, and Shotaro is OK if he's not too busy tipping his fedora.
Eiji is an alright fighter.
Gentaro can fight decently well. He holds his own against monsters while un-transformed a lot at the end of the series.
Haruto isn't much of a fighter, he prefers magic
Kouta is very athletic but not a great hand to hand fighter.
Tomari is decent. He's a cop he knows how to get into a brawl.
I didnt watch ghost so i have no opinion.
