***READ THE GUIDE***

For those new to gunpla/plamo or even just new to this thread; please read the guide. Please read it before asking questions, as there is a chance it has already been answered there.

For those unfamiliar, "plamo" is a shortened form of "plastic model". If it's made of plastic, someone can probably help you here!
If you're new, you're gonna fuck up. Don't worry! If you're experienced, don't make the new people worry!

>Why won't anyone answer my question?
Try being specific, especially about your materials and process. Post pictures whenever possible; even if the kit/part looks bad, you are more likely to get help posting pictures.

***Graze Group Build***
Rules:
Pick any 1/144 or 1/100 kit from the Graze family (Pic Related), and paint and customize it. As far as customizing it, I'm going to place a limit on that. The limit is 50% additions to the kit.
To define 50%, look at it like this, you could take a Graze Ritter and replace the arms (including shoulders), legs, and backpack and I'd call that 50%. I'm not counting handheld bits in that. If you're unsure of something please ask in IRC, the thread, or email.

Start Date: 12/1/16
Due Date: 2/1/17

Submission format
Please submit photos in jpg via a compressed file (zip, rar, or 7zip), please don't link images to imgur or photobucket or the like. Please also include some WIP photos of the kits being constructed/painted/etc as validation that it's your custom.

Thought of getting a Gallus-J kit from 1986 and improving it with ballden arms. I know it needs glue but does it have any articulation aside from something I'd find at a 99 cent store?
>>

I'm so confused.
>>
>>15079574
I've got a couple of the ancient ZZ kits, they're decent, about what you'd get from an MSiA iirc

If you want articulation out of an old school kit you're going to have to do a mix build. With Galluss J, you at least have a really easy base to build the new joints from.
>>
>>15079585
And you wait until page 5 or so to make a new one, because this is a pretty slow board.
Why make a new one the instant the old one hits 300?
Why do it when the thread refuses to use the thread you've made because most of them filter you?
Why?
>>
>>15079586

Wow that looks really good. ZZ deserves more HGUCs and we shouldn't have to kitbash to get our own

So would you say improving it with ballden arms is worth it? I'm planning to paint it in Gallus-K colors and maybe stick some artillery on it so it doesn't really need much in terms of articulation I suppose, if it can somewhat take a knee and bends its elbows, that's all I need.

Spare PCs come in handy! Especially when kits have spare parts for whole different components that don't have PCs for them.

This one, actually. There's a different nose-cone that carries the beam launcher on an arm. Also the HGUC Unicorn Phenex does not come with a polycap for 3 sheilds, just 2 so you need a spare to get polycaps on all 3.

>modifying kits
Disgraceful. You should be ashamed, you fraud.
>>
>>15088068
More often the pegs don't fit, sometimes it's easier to cut them and super glue the pieces together. It can be frustrating.
>>
>>15087866

I think thats a fair price. The listing claims its unopened too. Shame the box is a little beat up.
>>
Hey, I have my first kits arriving at the end of the month, I thought i'd get my building supplies sorted befoehand. I own an airbrush already for warhammer, I need to get a mask after moving to a small flat in a complex. I will be airbrushing right by my window. Anyone got mask reccomendations? Would single use or reusable be better? This is the one I've been eyeing up:

I was waiting for that to come out for the longest time and when it finally came in stock I didn't want it anymore.
