Gaim is the best probably, W, OOO, Fourze, Drive and Ex-Aid are worth checking out.

Shinkenger was the last top tier sentai. The worst is Ninninger, everything is worth watching though.

For Sentai: Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, Tokumei Sentai Go-Busters

For Ultra: Ultra Galaxy Mega Monster Battle, Mega Monster Battle: Ultra Galaxy Legends, Ultraman Zero: The Revenge of Belial. Haven't seen X but it looks good, skip Ginga for sure.

If you want something super old school but modern, try BIMA Satria Garuda. The sequel's too toy-focused for me, but the first season feels like old Rider. Speaking of, a lot of older series have been subbed properly since you left. We have Kuuga and Agito and Stronger. Holy fucking shit I just realized that you weren't around for Kuuga besides the shit HK subs, go watch MCS' Kuuga.
