Nah, he isn't wrong. With lower and lower ratings the station is more likely to skip episodes when there's some kind of event. Even if they're getting money for the merchandising promo, it's clear they put special events above it. 50 with a couple of 49 ones was the norm up until Go-Busters, and since then 48 has been the standard (counting the Rider crossover episode). Now it'll likely go even lower.

We're also seeing all shows since Kyoryuger finding excuses to have multiple episodes without new monsters of the week suits, which is probably another effect of the lower ratings.

Wild Force was Gaoranger which is kinda average IMO.
Time Force was Timeranger which is fantastic, but it isn't fully subbed yet.
In Space was Megaranger, which really didn't have much to do with space aside from their mech being a space center. It's really good.
Lost Galaxy was Gingaman which is a series about spiritualism and believing in nature and stuff and it's pretty good as well.

18 episodes into Shikenger as my first sentai after it was recommended to me last thread, really enjoying it so far, but there's just one little thing that has ruined the last two episodes for me. Completely ruins my immersion. The suit actors for the 5 regular Shikens fit the out-of-suit actors' frames and figures almost perfectly. Shinken Gold's suit actor is way too built and thick compared to Genta's OOS actor, who is at least as skinny as Takeru or Ryunosuke.
It just fucking ruins what is otherwise a really enjoyable show for some reason and I hate it. I hate the fact that it upsets me this much as well. Fuck autism

Jiro Okamoto's a big guy. He's a classic suit actor, but I'd have to agree about him being miscast for Shinken Gold.
If they can't get any bigger face actors, he's better off staying as armored characters like he has been the last decade or so.
Despite his lack of spryness these days, he's more or less kept that famous strength and endurance of his, so he's perfect for those really heavy looking suits, like he's been pulling of in Zyuohger as Azald.

i work for a company that produces some props for toei shows and we've done sentai before, here's what I can say about kyuuranger

main team is red blue white green and black. green and white are females. this series will have the largest amount of rangers, 18. suits are based on constellations. red is leo, blue is serpens (snake), white is dorado (swordfish), green is chameleon

suit designs finalized less than a month ago. seven "main" suits and the rest are color swaps of four patterns (same design, different colors)
