FF Record Keeper told me I'm guaranteed a 5* in every 11-draw and so far it hasn't lied to me yet.

That said, I didn't want Vivi's BSB. What am I going to do with a mage BSB when I don't have my own faithga to stack with Focus/Sheepsong? I have Shout. What I need is physical SBs. Doesn't have to be en-element, but it certainly helps.

It's a nice LN. I'm not big on light novels in general, but I like this one because I like to imagine I'd do the same if put in the same scenario.

It's definitely my kind of wish fulfillment.

I'm still playing Unlimited SaGa, but what I do is do an adventure then take a break an do other stuff.

It's not like FFXI was without its flaws, but we've had this conversation too many times already.

I guess, Laura's mid to late quests tend to be a bit longer than average, where are you now? Did you get Musol Yanii yet? He's one of your most reliable characters in Laura's story so get him ASAP.
I should also warn you of one thing, Laura's scenario is particular in that you might face two different penultimate bosses depending on whether you win or lose a certain fight at one point in the game, I won't spoil you who the bosses are, it should already be pretty evident, but keep that in mind.
Also, I'd suggest you to concentrate your magic on Judy and another character, that means making Judy use almost exclusively magic, possibly from an equipment piece and not from her familiars, unless you're learning magic tablets, that will greatly help in getting Magic Blender late in the game, which is vital for advanced spellcasters, take care of Henri, he loves Key and Dagger panels in the right places.

The last time I got an FF9 5* was during the Beatrix event in January. 9 is pretty much one of my worst realms; before last night all I had was a Save the Queen and two Power Sashes. I'm going to buy a Google Play card on the way home from work tonight and do a whalepull.

Besides the Vivi BSB, I got Freya's SSB, which would be nice if I actually had a weapon for her in more than 4 realms (4, 6, 7, and 12), and two off-banner: Galbadian Elite Armor and Dragon Claw (FF4 bracer). The reason for the off-banner is because the total 5* chance is 14% but only 12% of it is allocated towards on-banner items. Squall's OSB event is when they start distributing 14% over 9 items so the off-banner chance goes back to 1% for no OSB and 0.01% for OSB.

8, 9, and 14 are my worst RS realms. Thankfully, 8 and 9 have protagonist OSB events with off-the-charts physical banners in the pipeline. 14 is split between physical and magical banners, but for some reason the new physical character (Minfillia) has her two relics on the magical banner, and Paplymo, a mage, has two relics on the physical banner. And it's not like "new character = banner 1", since in the FF2 event Guy's SSB (his only relic even now in JP) is on banner 2.

To be fair, it's an obvious choice for Demonbane's finisher theme. The real problem is that they don't actually let you use Lemuria Impact for half the game.

I am willing to be the one to voice unpopular opinions.

I think I had my Original with Impulse most of the later part of my first file, the range matchup is much closer. Linebarrel got Bakuryu because I used it as my Tobikage Combination Fodder, and those ranges are a bit closer - plus the two have decent bonuses for each other (Bakuryu likes flight since it's so slow, even as Keima, Linebarrel's only terrain issue is water, so that gets patched - they both use pretty much every stat so boosts there are always good). If you don't want that, Linebarrel/Demonbane would probably work ok, but Demonbane has nothing to the equivalent of the normal Executor so maybe not.

That depends A LOT on what your cast list looks like. Little OVAs and Movies that have two, three stages of plot aren't going to drive up a lot of the plot by themselves, so you can have more of them, but big 52+ series or other plot heavy ones you're going to need less of.

If you have more than 20 series with plot on your list, stop immediately and trim that fucker down. If you don't have any experience with making games, I suggest a really small game with a really small cast list as a test run before trying anything bigger.

If you actually want to create them yourself instead of asking about the official ones, I think the answer is very different, especially if this is a one-man job (which is highly likely)

Given what I've seen from Japanese ones, the most common "big scenarios" that actually get completed instead of dying after 3 missions have around 8-10 series and maybe 30+ missions. If you want to create a whole bunch of "might as well basically be just plot missions where you field like 3 units and beat up 5 enemies before it ends" then maybe you can add more.

Of course, this is the "optimal" number for people who have some idea on what they're doing. If you have no idea on how disciplined you are, start very small - like "5 series made up of mostly 3 episode OVA" tier small

A much more effective pair for the Doctor is Mark Drei ver H&E. Both benefit from the Range/CT Bonuses and Doctor West gets his flight covered. Their finishers and best counter attacking moves have the same ranges at that too.

O Spark and whatever Armored's best move is called matches up to Kouchou Midaremai or whatever it's called, *insert name of Heroman and Armored's entire movepool outside their finishers* matches up with the fans.

Both of these were "running out of room in squads, make least bad pairs" ones, but they are notable. Jack and Demonbane mainly spent their time using their 1-4/5 Punch on things and close in moves, but I never let enemies assault from the 6-7 range gap since by that point Demonbane was pissing movement range due to having Dash and the Shantak. SSX went with Dannova with the intention of Boost Nova Knuckle and SSX's one P move being the main P option, and then most of the rest of the time being spamming of Koueique/Katenrou (or whatever they are, I hate SD Gundam attack names for people not Zhang Fei) along with Final Dancouhou and Absolute Nova Beast.

In hindsight Strike Freedom/SSX and Dancouga Nova MAXGOD/Hind Kind would likely have done the job better, but oh well.

I've noticed that, on one of my later runs I'm going to go fuck around with it. With this one I did Glen Neidr since most of the flight conferring people I had were short range fighters and it was literally the only thing that could really make use of Dr. West's Resupply as well as grant him flight and match his ranges remotely well - Vardant doesn't work since its range spam move has shit for ammo, Bilbine matches better with the similarly flight needing Wingle, YF-29 only gained the property of "giving partner flight" on Stage 52, Linebarrel was needed in a different squad, etc. etc.

Eh, but only if you keep him in Fighter, and there's really not much point in doing so if he's the partner of the two since Battroid trades 5 mobility for a Sword, 200 armor, a barrier, and I think a shield? And two extra moves, one of which is nice for ammo consumption. And its finisher costs ammo, which can be raised with B Save, which he wants anyway. The S rank is totally pointless since Mary Zhuge gives it to you in either form.

I know that Battroid's the better form but there is a use for EN PUs on Alto. Although if you're worrying about Alto running out of steam any time sooner with B Save then you have a problem.

Alto + Al is a good pairing anyway since their ranges match and if you play offensively then Assault benefits them both nicely. Graham and Maya are also good choices for Alto's partners I find.

You do when your other attack deals piss damage and the mooks have 10000 or so HP for some of them. And that's when the problem sets in, because Naked can't sustain itself. The Super Invincible Number 28 Robo or whatever it's awesome full title is can make Glen Neidr and Naked much more sustainable, while GN/Naked can do a lot to help Dr. West out, which is why they get paired despite their ranges not matching up - also, really a case of "best out of a few not-so-good options to go with Dr. West."

I think my H&A priority list went like:

Its the opposite really. NG+ whatever when you can afford to max out everyone means that whatever you do doesn't matter because Zhuge Liang makes everyone one shot things that don't have boss class hp.

On a first run, you can't do that so things like range syncing and counter attacking on the EP actually matter.

It has an absolutely horrid join time, and the unit it inherits upgrades from is kind of average.

Good to fill out your last leader slots, but being around for exactly 1/5th of the game does not do it any favors, but with Holland's leader bonus AND Soul, it should hit like a truck.

It honestly served me really well on my run, and I don't recall having any problems with Holland, the 909, or the Devilfish.

I thought they had pretty good stats overall.

There's a lot of really good units in Z1, and this goes over to the point that you'll find yourself even using things like Nemos without feeling like you're wasting a slot, or even a leader position, on one.

Nah, just for one stage, and it's the finale at that (you can't use the combo on that stage anyway since the twins autodeploy in Zero Fafner). But if you don't pick the Fafner/SD Gundam route split, you end up having exactly one stage to pull off all those combos.

First of all, it's got decent stats, decent attacks, and you can use it reliably if you like the unit. In both a leader position, and in a supporting squaddie position. It's all about what you want.

Secondly, it's a single player robot crossover SRPG. There's genuinely no unit that's going to make it impossible for you to obtain skill points and clear all the missions in an amicable way.

The only time anyone on that team went to space, it was Great Might Gaine going with the Perfect Cannon (Before it became Might Gunner and had the attachment capabilities) and eventually being accompanied by Gouryu to shoot down a meteor. None of the Divers or Bombers ever went to space in any capacity.

Considering what Melt Shower and the Hurricane/Typhoon attacks were like in Z, I'll bet the absolute worst Hydro Cannon gets in Space is a B rank.

BX has a better music and a better UI that runs smoother, but that's sorta it. Balancing is fucking terrible (lmaoGodlion Hammer AND a +10 Will MAP at stage 15), extreme lack of stage and event variety, most returning series are handled with varying levels of mediocrity. The sprites and animations are better on paper, but the execution isn't handled all that well. Sprites often rely on haphazard gradients for coloring and the vast majority of the animation department still don't know how to animate well with symbols, barring minds behind the main AGE cast animations. Bottom line is, the visuals are still lacking, but for different reasons.

This. Dunbine was about the only exception for returning representation. GGG's showing was lazy as shit, while Unicorn and anything not Setsuna in Trailblazer have little presence.

It is nice that, between UX and BX, we finally have games with a decent number of secrets that allow you to get a "perfect" run and get all the secrets. I wish they'd come up with the concept sooner, or stuck with it.

Odds of V doing similar are pretty low, I'd say, but that's also dependent on how many secrets the game is even going to have.

It's really hard to say. Most likely, given the Zs, it's going to have lots of item secrets, but those aside... UC Gundam always offers a decent slate of secrets, and while some of the series aren't so good with giving you lots of options (PoD) some of the others are.
