Kouta is one of the most classic Heisei Rider archetypes, and he's a perfect counterpoint to the other main Riders to be the actual heroic main character. All the other Riders get corrupted by their acquisition of power. Once Kouta realizes the real stakes of their conflict, he never loses that perspective.

He starts out wanting to just have a normal life, but then by the end he's willing to give all of that up to ensure that other people can have normal lives.

Gaim has some problems, but I never felt that Kouta's characterization itself was one of them.

It would've been really weird for him to keep being so happy-go-lucky after the bombshell of realizing he killed his friend who had turned into an Invess. It's that one-two-punch of nearly getting killed by Hawktiger, and also finding out the real nature of the Helheim fruits that really sets the tone for the rest of the series.

I dropped it right before (or after? I dunno it was the episode where they didn't want to show it but he was all glowy and shit) Takeru got infinity but the main point that made me give up was that he died and revived like three or four times. I hate that shit in Rider in general. I didn't mind in the very beginning since it was kind of the whole point of the show, and with the one that introduced boost I was willing to just sit through it. But then they did it again (and I think I heard they did it in the movie but it's not like I saw that) I just didn't have the patience to keep watching a show that was already boring as fuck in my opinion.

You could probably cut way more out of Ghost than Wizard, the plot advancement is pretty minimal at times.

The idea of a project is a neat one, to cut out the fat. And if you really wanted, you could cut out certain moments into files like interesting fights from boring episodes if people wanted to see it. But overall it's a lot of work for no real gain. I wouldn't watch an official abridged version of a series because I would feel like I'm missing stuff, why would I watch a fan one.

In Korea? No fucking way. Once you're an idol you're the bitch of your agency forever. A fuckdoll until you're 40, then they drop you off the face of the earth, maybe even earlier after you do some "porn" (read, god-awful shit that's pretty much the same missionary position and nothing else, mainly just a reward for whatever agent's kid who wanted to fuck an idol).

China cuts out the middle-man. You're not a fuckdoll, but if you disagree with them, well... you know how it is. They've got camps for people who disagree with the Chinese government.

Unfortunately, Japan does need a lot of fucking reforms in its entertainment industry. This cycle of lotto'd in superstars that last maybe 10 years a pop is dangerously unhealthy for the industry.

I really enjoy Wizard. It has it's moments and the main riders are likeable and have a good chemistry with one another.

They don't do Haruto as well as they could do though. He never actively helps people overcome their despair, just goes inside them and kills a monster, would've been better if he gave like speeches why they shouldn't despair over those moments.

Also play up the whole fact that he is a paradox within the whole phantom creation system of how he "Despairs through having hope" because the best episodes in his character is when he doubts himself and his action, maybe make his "showtime" exterior be more a facade when really he's always doubting that he's doing the right thing and is self conscious that if he screw up the worlds gonna end.

Beast is perfect the way he is though and his development is phenominal for a secondary.

So, like, I'm making this for my friends b-day, and I've been coming here long enough that I'd like your guys input on something, not regarding the project in the picture. Basically all I know is that it's going to be made of scrap material (metal, computer parts, etc) and that I want to emulate the pose W is in on his intro. Y'know how he's standing on a building with a super long flowy scarf? Something like that. But, I want to make a completely unique looking rider, something scrap/dieselpunk inspired. I think back to Doras' first appearance as ZO as inspiration.

I didn't really explain the first project assuming anyone's curious. It's supposed to be a cyberpunk/scrap monster man playing a guitar. He's completely and 100% original and not totally ripping off a certain character in a recent Mad Max film. He's supposed to be standing on the speaker and riffing on the guitar.
